Posted 3 years agoOne more time around the sun, hitting that ripe old age of 45.
Been spending the last week and change down here with WereW0lfYiff and prepping to move him back in with me back to Virginia. Had a great time over in the Kemah boardwalk, just chilling, getting to know family and enjoying the rides.
Texas has been an experience. Lovely state, though never had to work so hard at hydration down here. The heat is something, but at least there's a nice breeze being close to the ocean, haven't seen a lot of the Mid-Atlantic lulls with the still air.
Still packing and will be heading our way back to Virginia tomorrow me thinks.

Posted 3 years agoI realized that I've not been flooding shoutboxes with thanks for faves. Been pondering doing this, but the idea of just going back through a few months and just making everyone scratch their head over a 3 month old fave is prolly not the best of ideas.

Driving to MFF, looking for additional passengers!
Posted 6 years agoSo, know it's a bit late, but anyone needing a ride to MFF from the DC area?
Driving a Honda Ridgeline with a camper shell. So plenty of room for fursuits and a comfortable ride. We're checking in on Thursday 12/5 so we were looking at leaving probably 12/5 at 1am to get rid of all the traffic.
Also have a mini fridge that sits in the bed for food/drinks on the way down. Right now, it's just me and my room mate, but room for one or two more to spread the load.
Coming from Northern Virginia area.

So MWFF gas buddies from the Manassas/Nokesville VA area
Posted 10 years agoGoing to be driving out to Midwest Furfest this year. Currently just me and xxskyxx driving up from Nokesville, VA. I'll be driving out in a Honda Ridgeline with a camper shell so plenty of room and a small fridge chest in the bed that can be accessed on the road, all in all it's a very comfy ride and all maintenance is up to date. This journal is not related to accommodations during MWFF
Driving Itinerary:
Leaving Nokesville on about 11PM to 11:30 on Thursday December 3rd
Should be arriving on Friday in the morning at Chicago.
Leaving Chicago will be sometime on Monday, probably an evening departure.
Driving style: I am a safe driver that hasn't had a wreck as of yet in >20 years of driving. Will be pushing to make lots of miles and stopping pretty much to get gas which will happen about every ~300 miles or so. So we should be arriving about 9 to 10 am assuming we don't hit construction and the like.
Also, with room situation, contact
Webster about a room, see his Journal as there is room for a fourth roommate, but contact him on this matter

Posted 10 years agoWell long story short. Planning vacation for to Minnesota this next week. The plan was to be a family reunion centered around my aunt and uncle's 50th anniversary. So, got the news this afternoon that my aunt passed away earlier today.

Cons and travels
Posted 11 years agoThis year I'm planning on being a bit more active and working on going to a few cons well. So hopefully lots more journals of the salty/sailing mentality.
March 14-16th I'm planning on heading off to Fur the More with some locals.
Update: Room is all booked, hope to see ya there!
August 9th to the 11th, Otakon I'm planning on nestling this into larger sailing trip, which will be from about August 3rd the the 16th.
During the course of the con I'll be staying here for the duration of the con.

Posted 13 years agoI just want to say a few things here. First of all, this does not reflect at all on Hexxy's site which I still think is an amazing chat site and very well run and performs its function extremely well in the sense of hooking folk up with interesting rp partners.
That seemed to be the problem, stuck in a room with a never empty cookie jar, I became indulgent and let self control and moderation become an afterthought . The best option after trying to go on hiatus was to get the object of addiction from my house as it were, and here I am.
And apologies to anyone I may have cut off with the suddenness, but I felt it to be best to do without much fanfare and slip away quietly rather than advertise the fact.
I'll still keep my IMs around as I prune things, but I think it's time that I pulled myself more into the direction of a more 'PG' rated character.

New times and new house
Posted 15 years agoWell, funny, I've had this FA account for quite some time and never really been active here. Though now that I've actually become a bona fide homeowner, I'm going to start getting a bit more proactive and such, and hopefully soon starting to commission some char pics.
