Happy 20th Anniversary Batman & Robin !!
Posted 8 years agoMr Freeze, with his subzero beam, freezes spaces, things and people.
But he can't freeze time. That's implacable and keep flowing.
But some moments still stay indelible on our minds, not static, but immutable, clean, perfect.
I was seventeen, twenty years ago, and even me that confuse dates and days, and that mix the past in my mind in a single weird stain of "yesterday", i remind that night at perfection.
Twenty Years ago Batman & Robin was released.
A perfect night for a perfect movie. Everything was, that night.
My teenage years was messy, like everyone's i suppose, i was neurotic, never happy, anxious. But that night it seems that everything was gone.
I never waited a movie as i do for Batman & Robin and i believe i never been so excited in front of a big screen like that night when i saw the overlaing of the Bat symbol and the Robin one, on that red background that i can still see now, bright in my eyes, as if it were projected on the wall that's in front of me while i'm writing.
Everything was perfect, that night, the location, my age, the emotions, people that were with me.
I have difficulty to continue, because i am unconfortable on going deep in personal stuff on internet writing.
But Mr Freeze can't freeze time, that's something that i know very well.
And the flowing of time have changed lot of things in my life, since now, and some people that were with me, in that perfect night, now are not more with us. Not more with me.
And that memory of twenty years ago has become even more important. Even more immutable. Just like diamonds that supply the chilling Gotham villain's suit.
Twenty years ago, Batman & Robin was released, and everything was perfect.
Happy Anniversary. And Thank You.

I'm back from my Frankfurt trip and i have to said that German Comic Con confirms as one of the best show in Europe!!
It was great even beyond my expectation!! Comics Original Art to help Earthquake Victims
Posted 9 years agoMaybe most of you know that last month Italy suffered for one if the biggest earthquake of the last years for the country. The city of Amatrice (a little more than 100 Km of distance from where i live, Rome) was barely completely destroyed by the shake, and lot of various little cities around have suffered the same fate. Hundred of people have died in their houses or in the street, many other have lost their loved ones, quite all have lost their home and all they have.
Actually the center of Italy need all the help possible to clean the ruins and to rebuilt the city of Amatrice and surroundings.
That's a beautiful initiative to which i've had the honour to take part: Antani Comics, a comic book shop and Comic Con organization in Italy have collect some big format original art from Italian and European artist that where offered from the artist for charity auctions to help the earthquake victims and the rebuilts of the striked cities.
Here you can found the first series of acutions (just a first round, other art will arrive soon) with awesome arts among which my "Duck Knight" - Daffy Duck as Batman - (and soon also a Leonardo from TMNT made by me will be put on auction). BACK FROM EUROFURENCE and BACK TO THE COMMSSION LIST!!

I just come back from Eurofurence and, the biggest European Furry Con, confirms as a blast!! I have had lot of good times with furry friends and fellow artists, there were some pretty busy day, from the travel to the table set up since the work on the live commission, but it worth any effort!!
Also, i have had the very appreciated visit of
redsilver that homaged me with his version of Manthomex, Piccion, Sylvie and Sara (and i gave him my version of Francesca Goldberg in return!).
Hope to have time soon to set up photos and scan so everyone could enjoy this pretty cool stuff!!

I Have Always Liked COWABUNGA!!
Posted 9 years agoI should write tons of words about this moment, but my mind didn't have too much reason... i just make a deep breath and i say that... COWABUNGA, i'm a winner !!
I take part to the contest launched by Talenthouse about the upcoming movie TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES - OUT OF THE SHADOWS ( https://www.talenthouse.com/i/desig.....it?ref=artfeed ). They were searching for artists from all over the world to have some original "sewer cover" arts realted to the movie to share during the movie premieres and, i still can't believe that, i was choose as one of them!!
My Ninja Turtles artwork was choose by Paramount Pictures and will be exposed during the movie premieres... i can't be more excited than that.

The Turtles are ever been a HUGE part of my life, as every kid born in the 80s i lived the Turtles phenomenon at its best, i've read and collected the comics, watched the cartoons, i was in theatres for the movies and i collected tons and tons of figures and merchandise about the four Turtles, their enemies and allies, and now, to be officialy part of all of this is like my childhood dream comes true.

A BAD NEWS
Posted 9 years agoThis is a Journal that i didn't want to write but here i am doing it.
This weekend i should have attendee at FACTS, the Belgian Comic Con setted at Ghent, near to Bruxelles.
I've just have recieved note that my flight from Rome to Bruxelles was cancelled due to security reason.
I am deeply sorry to cancel my attendee to the con too, i wanted to be part of it, even in this dramatic period for the Belgian country and for all Europe.
I've lost the opportunity to be part of a great comic con, but this is NOTHING related to the dramatic moment that the city of Bruxelles is living in this period.
As an artist i wanted to be there to demostrate that the power of imagination can't be stopped by fear and desperation.
Sadly i can't this time. And i can't be more sad, and angry, than that.
My deepest apologizes to all the people who expected to meet me at the con and my best wishes to all the people of Bruxelles to rise soon.

London Super Comic is over and i have to admit again: it was a BLAST!! I enjoyed basically everything about it, organization, fantastic warm audience and meeting the greatest artist of comic book world!!
So, you know, i am not a type of guy who's able to stay calm with my stuff and, having all my tools with me for the con; i just have on mind a special quick commission offer for the time that i'll stay here in London (four days more).
If you are interested i'm opening right now 10 slot (for now, maybe i'll add more tomorrow, maybe not) of commission that i'll realize in these four days and that you'll recieve next week (not have a scanner here).
So that's are the rules: Ten Slot. You can choose between
- Bust shot (it's head and bust, no arms) for 20 euros

In just a week i'll start my Phase One of my European Tour 2016 with the First Date: LONDON SUPER COMIC CONVENTION!!
You can find me SATURDAY 20 and SUNDAY 21 of February at LSCC, EXCEL CENTRE, LONDON - UK at Artist Alley TABLE A67 available for live dedicaces, sketches and commission. At the table you can also find lot of fun merch with my art stuff: Sketchbooks, Limited Prints, Deluxe Card Folders and Original Art for Sale.
Sketches: i'll do a pencil and ink headshot of a chactare you choose for every 15 Pounds of merch purchase.
Commission:All Commission are Pencil and Ink on Fine Paper, Bust and Half Figure will comes in a A4 paper sheet, from Full Figure to beyond will comes in HUGE A3 paper sheet.
