Update on Current Projects
General | Posted a year agoIt's crazy that it has been 9 months between chapters 8 and 9 of School Spirit. However, unlike past dry spells, I have actually been writing for most of that time. So I wanted to provide an update on the status of current projects:
Suitable - 3 more chapters are finished that are yet to be posted. I'm a ways into chapter 8, but I got distracted.
Pokedate - I was also working on an anthro/feral pokemon TF story currently that has 9 (shorter) chapters. Like Suitable, it is ongoing. I'll start uploading that once I'm caught up on Suitable
School Spirit - chapter 9 dropped last week. Haven't started the next one, but I'm motivated to get back to it soon.
The Christmas Party - a 1st person, gradual TFTG story that I started ALMOST A DECADE AGO. It's at over 100 pages already on MS Word and I want to try to finish it for Christmas this year.
Current Project - I got distracted by inspiration from an image by Anthrats. It's at, like, 45 pages right now, but I think the end is in sight. It will be in the same universe as A New Mascot and A Familiar Actress. Hoping it'll be done in a few days.
Other projects - I have been working on two larger projects that I may or may not consider publishing if/when I finish them. They won't end up here, most likely, but I mention them because they will periodically take up time.
And more - I have no shortage of stories I WANT to right that may eventually come down the pipe.
Anyway, I hope you've been enjoying my work so far!

Just started Blogging
General | Posted 13 years agoHey everyone,
So I just started a blog to help me create a platform to advertise my new novel (if/when it gets published). On this blog, I will be talking about Psychology, Video Games, and Creative Writing. I may even post some short-stories and ask for recommendations for new short-story lines (perhaps some more TF things). Please have a look and follow me if this appeals to you.
The website is: http://mindofmalm.wordpress.com/
Hope to see you there!

Dissociating Fugue
General | Posted 15 years agoDissociating Fugue is a new novel that I am working on currently. I figured I would write down a few notes about it. Lemme know what you think...
Aaron Blake, age 20, lives a stagnant life in Brigid Fields, Montana. He works as a bartender at the local pub and dreams about the day that he'll be able to leave that small town in the dust. However, his life begins to fall apart when he starts seeing an enigmatic young woman with black hair all around town. Whenever he gets to close, she vanishes without a trace, leaving Aaron with terrible, debillitating headaches. Eventually, Aaron is approached by a mysterious old man who claims to have worked with Aaron's grandfather (who spent his last days in a mental institution) in researching an anomaly known as the Stradford Effect, of which Aaron now shows signs. Aaron decides to shake up his life and help the old man continue his research.
Aaron soon finds himself and the doctor targeted by assassins sent by the unscrupulous ArmaGen Corporation. In order to protect their research, the old man elects Aaron to deliver the package to safety. He injects Aaron with an experimental serum that will disguise him from ArmaGen, buying him some time. Aaron blacks out.
Aaron wakes up alone in a hotel room in Chicago. Everything feels...off...Approaching a mirror, Aaron makes a stunning discovery: he is now a she - and on top of that, he is the girl that he's been seeing all around his hometown. According to the ID on the bedside table, her new name is Erin Stradford. Aaron (now Erin) must find a way to deliver the research before ArmaGen finds her. Along the way, she finds herself caught up in the middle of a war between ArmaGen and their chief competitors, Star Enterprises.
On top of all of that, Eriin must deal with the overwhelming changes that have overcome her body: experiencing new sensations, confusing feelings, and embarrassing moments. It's all Erin can do to hold on to who she is as Aaron Blake. However, over time, Aaron begins to slip away...
The title Dissociating Fugue is derived from the psychological disorder known as the dissociative fugue. This disorder is marked by a flight (or fugue) from one location to another. When the individual wakes up, they have no recollection of how they came to where they are. Sometimes, the individual also has no recollection of who they are - name, origins, etc. Aaron does recall who he is after waking up in Chicago, but he (now she) has to fight to hold onto that, or Aaron might lose himself.
