Posted 3 weeks agoBack from EF again!
Posted a month agoAaaaand I'm officially back from EuroFurence, exhausted, drained, but ultimately grateful I could attend again this year!
I'm sad to have to part ways with my friends yet again, of course, but if this was every week then it wouldn't be special anymore.
And either my liver or my legs will give out ^^;
Currently I'm playing with the idea of going to NFC as well next year, but still have to make up my mind on that.
The more conventions I go to, the more tempted I am to get a fursuit myself. But with each additional con I go to, each additional piece of art I get, I eat into the potential budget for that.
Though... I should probably try and make it all work somehow.
Anyways, met lots of friends, made some new ones, spent a lot of time queueing for the elevators, drank way too much, went dancing again, and had a wonderful time!
Hope to see you there next time!

See ya at EF!
Posted a month agoHeaded to EF next week and looking forward to seeing a bunch of friends again, and meeting some for the first time.
Haven't made any specific plans for what I will be doing, but if you see me feel free to say hi!
See ya there if you're coming ^^

Moved
Posted a month agoI moved 140 km away from my old place.
It was an incredible hassle, and stupid expensive, though the stars aligned in many aspects and overall it could have been far worse.
I traded my top floor apartment with the roof slope intruding onto the living space in the middle of nowhere for one with 2.5 m ceilings just on the outskirts of a city.
It's hard to understate how nice it is to be able to just... go places and do things without having to drive somewhere, park my car, et cetera.
The tram stop is approximately 20 metres from my front door, and I'm 4 minutes from the supermarket, and 6 minutes from the pool where I now go swim every day after work.
In short, I'm glad to have done it, but I hope I won't have to do it again for a while.

Posted a year agoI went to EF and...
Posted a year agoI loved it.
So, as promised, I'm trying to collect my thoughts on the whole experience in hindsight now. The energy there was infectious, like a giant party that just keeps on going.
I didn't realise just how much I missed out on stuff like that before I missed, but I'm also incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to go there with friends.
Definitely a lot more active than I usually am in my day-to-day life, but I don't regret that one bit.
Except maybe for that one video of me dancing, but that one will probably never see the light of day anyways.
You'd think that going for a week is quite a while, but it really isn't, and once I got home and stopped being a manic little ball of energy, I started missing my friends.
I did make some new ones as well, despite being a bit anxious for a good chunk of it.
They tell you that you should get at least six hours of sleep, at least two meals, and take at least one shower a day (yes, I know...), but the first two of those certainly suffered.
I didn't even get to do all the things I wanted to do, but I'm glad I got to be part of at least some of the insanity.
Someone brought a cardboard cutout of Nicholas Cage to the dance floor, and I had a hard time not laughing my ass off over it.
Someone also seemingly lost their underwear in front of the convention center, but I don't know what to make of that (No, I don't think anyone brought it to the lost and found).
I also really didn't get the appeal of fursuiting until I went, but now I kinda do. Even got to hug one, though one of my friends hugged like 50 of them xD
Guess I'm still a bit shy / awkward in person, but I'll be better the next time.
Would I do it again?
Absolutely yes.
But I would do a few things differently, probably stay longer before and after the convention. Go for different rooming arrangements, and try to bring more friends the next time.
I also feel like whatever I write cannot truly do it justice, and some of the spicier things might best be kept to the people involved~
Anyways, see you at the next one! (hopefully)

Back from EF...
Posted a year ago...and I absolutely loved it. Finally see the appeal of fursuiting too.
Flipside is, I'm completely and utterly exhausted.
Started writing up a few thoughts on the overall experience, but I don't see myself able to complete it tonight.
I'll try to share some of my thoughts and some of the funny stories soon (very few though).

Going to EF
Posted a year agoBasically, I'm attending Eurofurence this year.
Not sure this matters to anyone here, but if you're curious maybe we can say hi or something.
I'm bad at writing these...

Another Year
Posted a year agoWell, I haven't written one of these before, but I felt like it.
Thanks again for all the well-wishes on my birthday so far, and all the friends I've made over the past two or three years.
It hasn't always been easy, but I appreciate all of you ^^
That's all
