OK GUYS! I need your help, I'm on a crunch and the little machine somebody gave away is terrible, I had to hand crank half of my last project i mean... I hurt for a week after how long i had to curl myself in front of this thing... SO I have a sewing shop willing to offer me a pretty good deal if I trade in my current machine, to get a Janome. That sucker went through a scrap of light denim folded over itself several times with seams already in it, like it was tissue paper. I need this kind of power, and I am asking your help in making it happen.

Ok so here's the details:
I wanna build a noivern suit for Dragoncon... but to do that I need money. Money is something I'm severely tight on right now because of things in real life that are very stressful and straining and I'd rather not get into it but all dollars I currently have are tied up in rent and bills for the near future so I need your help!
I really want to do this suit for this year's dragoncon BUT it can easily be for next year but I want to get going on it while I'm fired up to do it!!!!
SO - here is my offer -

I will do either sketchpages for 15$ a pop OR you may have seen those chalky doodles I've been doing the past couple days? I'll do you one of those for 20$ ! Sound like a good deal? NOTE ME!
The chalky ones will be simple background and the sketchpages in just black and white but if you want color make it 20$ and we will call it cool.

year was gonna be better than last year...



Well ... crummy year so far....plus crummy birthday.... = I am failing to be able to give a crap. What a bummer.

After being super ill for a long while, the holidays being shit, and this first month including a vehicular collision victim and us being out of the main source of income for the past month and a half I am in need of some funds to keep us fed til the next check comes in next month... I hate talking about this crap.... ugh.
BUT I am gonna do some sketch pages at 15$ for a page of sketches approx 11x14 in size either scanned traditional work or a digital file, and 15$ is a lot of food....
I'll be buying dollar boxes of pasta and 84 cent soda and the cheapest pasta sauce I can find with the occasional 3$ bag of chicken nuggets for protein to keep us somewhat balanced in nutrition....and lots of ramen...LOOOOOOTTTSS of ramen.
So between here and weasyl i'm doing three slots at a time, let me know if you are interested.

I am ok now guys.... no more illness for the time being , hopefully not for a long time from now. I apologize to anyone who was trying to get a hold of me or get work from me, as I was so ill for so long that I had to pull back and focus on my health for a while. If anyone was still interested in getting work from me, I will only be taking on smaller projects until further notice so as to not work myself to illness or end up having to refund people because something happened to me and cancel their commissions. That's not fair to you guys. SO - that said, I will be away from the internet for the next probably two weeks with work being near constant and dragoncon in 5 days. After that it will be touch and go on my availability because we lost another framer and its literally down to myself and the dept. manager. This is not good and we are approaching the point of desperation trying to hire someone and KEEP THEM. UGH. We are supposed to have 4 people in the department all the time and cant seem to even keep a third person.
Will update again in a few weeks. Take care everyone.

I swear its just one thing after another but after a month of being ill on and off and being unable to work on anything outside of the day job from being so exhausted, I think I'm finally getting back to myself again which means back to being able to do art on my couple of days off instead of being in too much pain or too exhausted. Sorry for the length of time between updates but any time off from the day job has been spent either resting or at the doctor's office. I am doing much better now, still in a bit of pain but at least i'm sleeping again and don't feel so fatigued. YAY

As of yesterday anyways. Had a nice quiet birthday, couldn't really decide on something to do for my birthday and near no one was around but its alright. Had a quiet dinner out after I got off of work and it was stress free which is more than I can say for just about everything else in my life nowadays. So that made it awesome. :) Hope everybody is well!

I sort of wish somebody neat was doing some icon commissions so I could get a cool icon of luci in somebody's else's style, cause that's always cool to see. :) Let me know if somebody has heard of openings and what not yeah?

ok this is ridiculous, the hours that the craft store is open this past month and the next few days is dumb. I've been working more hours than I can care to count and still can't seem to make a reasonable amount of money and its dumb. ANYWAYS..... the main ranting for the evening is that MICHAELS ARTS AND CRAFTS is frickin open until MIDNIGHT TOMORROW NIGHT. UGH. I mean seriously wtf man.... lame.

Also note me about commissions if interested. I am ALWAYS open for sketch commissions (10$) and bust commissions which will vary depending on medium and colored or not.

The main reason for this message is as follows -

So.... I wanna get a blank, hinged and with eyes from somebody, but i'm leaning on wanting to get one from  dreamvisioncreations to make my first attempt at making Luci. However seeing as it costs quite a bit to get a blank hinged and ready I will be putting profit of any commissions from FA into said project.


THAT BEING SAID I WILL BE MAKING AND POSTING BADGE SAMPLES SOON SO I WILL BE OPEN FOR THOSE AT 20 BUCKS TO START, and we will see how that goes :)

In other news, I am in the process of making a crayon melting art! Its my simple and easy art exercise for the day before I get into making my badge samples and such. If you want to see the results I will probably post it up in my scraps here and in the gallery on my deviant art page! :)

News update: My wallet vanished on wednesday night, med card, bank cards, ID, everything gone. I have a concert in less than two weeks where I need an ID to get in. I have no idea where my SS card or birth certificate are since I haven't needed them in a long while and so I have no idea how i'm going to find them in time to get a new ID. SUCKS.
I've ordered a new bank card, should be here some time tomorrow I hope.
Other things, I think the sickness going around my work for the past month and a half is finally possibly catching up to me since I had a weird burning spot of feeling in my throat when I woke this morning but I dunno.
I'm working on several things all at once and there's so many things I want to do right now that are clamoring for my attention that its hard to keep up. But i'd rather it be this way that not having any ideas or pictures in mind at all, because that's the way it was for a good long while but I think it's picking up again. I'm really glad I finally got that reference sheet out for luci too.
Alright well back to work! :)

Went to see a live music night at the local boneyard and had some drinks and a TON of fun and dancing, just an all around great time. Had some good friends there with, and the band, called The Spazmatics, are just A BUTTLOAD OF FUN. We had an instance of slight creep-factor when a very drunk man was trying to get someone to take him home for 20 bucks but it turned out well in the end and everyone was very worn out and sore the next day. Thankfully I had the day off and could lay around the house in front of my computer watching  firefeathers streaming amazing artzy timez and doodle while I was doing so. Which didn't require a whole lot of physical motion so that worked out perfectly for me haha.
I do however have to work today and am about to go out the door so I will have to cut this journal short but please go check out my newest piece in scraps for a small chuckle and a smile for your day as my love for halloween becomes GLARINGLY OBVIOUS YET AGAIN. lol.

Oh my lordy figure drawing yesterday was...AWWEEEESSSOOOOOMMMMMEEEZZZZZ
THATS AWESOME TIMES LIKE 100.

So it felt stupendous to actually sit down with some damn charcoal and draw a figure. I am in so much need of the practice that its sort of painful.
I managed to get at least one sort of decent drawing out of the evening which I wasn't expecting so that was pretty good.
Was expecting to have to go to a few of the meetings and not start getting back into some decent turnouts until i'd been there a few times but after about 5 I got a semi-decent one. YAY

I may post it on my tumblr or devart or something.

So so ....thanks go to firefeathers for pointing out the crew and for helping me out in finding my way there. AND for the awesome suggestion for dinner afterwards...that was heavenly, there are really no other words for the heart stopping tastebud fest that was a sammich from Melt. Good stuff! And fed my roommate too!! xD

OK i'm going to stop rambling now and go do some art while i'm still sort of riding that little bit of high left over from drawing last night =D

Hey all, got something for SALE here

I've got one of those plein air box easels that I don't really use because it ended up not being the right fit for me. It's nearly brand new, I barely used it and I want to sell it to put the money towards something I think will be a better fit for me.

It's got all the parts it came with and has a divided drawer in it with telescoping canvas holder and adjustable height legs and everything folds to be carried by a leather handle.

I'm asking about 80 for it, which if you know these things know they retail anywhere from 130-190 bucks a pop. If you are interested let me know! Unfortunately since I am poor the shipping is not included in the 80 and will be extra but only for the exact amount it will cost me to ship it to you wherever you are.
