Graphics Card Problem
Posted 15 years agoSince Yesterday, My graphics card ad a problem. It is a Code 43 situation for my GeForce 8600 GT card.
I tried cleaning the insides of the computer and reinstalling the drivers and I still have the problem.
Until this problem is resolved, I could not be able to log into Second Life.

Goodbye 2000s and hello 2010s
Posted 15 years agoIt is time to say goodbye not only to 2009 but the decade of 2000s. I hope the 2010s decade is better than the previous for me and America.
As for my New Year's Resolution, I will need to over come my insecurities, even the one that keeps me from drawing.
Happy New Year

Merry Holidays 2009!!!
Posted 15 years agoI would wish you a Merry Holidays.
As for me, I am still looking for a job and I will be back in graduate school in mid-January. Once the new decade starts, I will have to move on in life.

My Nanny has just pased away
Posted 16 years agoI heard from my parents that my father's mother has died. According to them, she had died from cardiac arrest. She wasn't in a good shape for the past couple of months. It was up and down for her before she passed on.
Entering Graduate School
Posted 16 years agoTomorrow, graduate classes start for me. I have been trying to find a career that I want, but no luck. I applied to a graduate school so I can get some more computer skills that I need for the future.
In a year, the same university that I am going to for graduate school will have a graduate gaming track.
Peace.

I feel so old
Posted 16 years agoToday is my Birthday and I am now 23.
I have spent the summer teaching myself on how to use Blender, a little of GIMP, and a little of Python. I also feel very comfortable driving again when I am practicing it. However, there are a couple of things that I need to do differently before the summer ends.

Nintendo finally got it right at E3 2009
Posted 16 years agoAfter watching a real time video of the Nitnendo Conference at this year's E3, Nintendo got it right. That is, the games they show provided a balance between core and casual gamers alike.
I am anticipating on the New Super Mario Bros. Wii game since it has a new twist to the classic game.
Wii Sports Resort is a nice simple game for the Wii and its motion plus, but there are other bundles with this accessory for those who are not interested in the game. I will expect Red Steel 2 to be an improved sequel.
There are some RPG goodness at this showing with a new Golden Sun game, and a new Mario and Luigi game.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is similar to its predecessor, but it has some new twists.
Metroid M will be awesome when it comes out next year. It will have some beat em up elements for the game.
The Vitality Sensor is something completely different, but when more details come out, I may like it or not.
One thing that came into my mind is that for the previous 2 E3 expos, which were known as E3 Media and Business, Nintendo was using their conferences for the business perspective. And since E3 is back and better and ever, the Nintendo Conference was excellent since they balanced it out the games they show to both core and casual gamers alike.

Just Graduated
Posted 16 years agoToday, I graduated from college. After that I am most likely to pursue graduate studies. And for searching for an internship or a part time job, things are not looking good.
Things to do for the Summer:
1. Aim for a driver's license - I should not be discouraged on how i practice driving.
2. Get in to the habit of cooking, drawing, and exercising.
3. Find the right college for graduate studies.

All Dogs Go to Heaven: The origin of the "Big Lipped Alligator Moment." First coined by the Nostalgia Critic and Nostalgia Chick when they reviewed Ferngully: The Last Rainforest. Specifically the part about the goanna that came out of nowhere and tried to eat Zak while singing an erotic-sounding song about the food chain. After the music number he is never mentioned again. The Big Lipped Alligator moment or BLAM for short came from All Dogs Go to Heaven's musical number, "Let's Make Music Together," that is sung by a big lipped alligator, King Gator, that is so bizarre that the alligator's song and his flamboyant nature is never mentioned again.

Happy St Patty's Day Everyone!
Posted 16 years agoIts that time again, Get your green clothes on and some Guinness ready for this day.
For me, My spring break is coming up and it will be time for me to do things differently.
Tips for how to appreciate art the right way:
1. If you don't have anything good to say, don't say it at all.
2. If you have a problem with a certain artist or art collector, stop watching him/her and be silent.
3. Show respect to the artist's taste, especially when it comes to commissions, and trades.
Hint on how to make your password that is not the same as others: Use your right hand to randomly enter a password that is at least 8 characters long. Make sure it has lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers and other characters.
Have a Great St. Patty's Day.

Happy New Year 2009!

For my new Year's resolution, I will get into the habit of drawing. Once I realize that I am able to draw often, I will feel good of myself and show you what I am capable of.

Merry Christmas 2008
Posted 16 years agoIts that time of year again and Happy Holidays to all!!!
I just finished another semester of college. Now I have one more semester until I graduate. During the Winter Break, I really need to get into the habit of drawing.
I realized why I never drew in a long time. One thing is that I have a tendency to go perfectionist on my previous art. Also I never took it easy on them. Another factor that I realized is that after posting my art online, I was discouraged from drawing again because of little or no feedback. This is because I really need to draw frequently so I can improve over time. So once I am in the habit of drawing, I may consider trades, but they need to be SFW.

Ten Years of Ocarina of Time!!
Posted 17 years agoIt has been ten years since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time has been released for the N64 in Japan on this day. This game came to the US two days later and it came to Europe a few weeks later.
In my opinion, this is the best video game that is ever made. The story is epic, the transition from 2D to 3D is very fluent, the graphics look best at its time and the controls are flawless. If anyone has played this game, some will consider it as the greatest, while others say its one of the best.
Ocarina of Time: 10/10.

Posted 17 years agoRecently my family finally got an HDTV. It is very nice to see TV, movies and movies in that format. For some reason I am still flip-flopping on whether I want an XBOX 360 or a PS3. Also I need to pick up the pace for college work starting tomorrow because things will be more intense.

Tenth Anniversary of Pokemon
Posted 17 years agoOn the first day of September which is not only Labor Day, but the tenth anniversary of Pokemon. On this day or the 31st of September ten years ago, Pokemon Red and Blue came to the US on the Gameboy. Now here is my retrospective and perception of this franchise from ten years ago to today:
Pokemon was created by Satoshi Taijiri of Game Freak based on his love of bug collecting. Each generation of Pokemon games has a paired version and a third version, which is a rehash of the paired version with more features, afterward.
Pokemon Red and Blue started out in Japan in 1996 as Pokemon Red and Green. Pokemon Blue was released later and it came to America as Pokemon Red and Blue. Each main Pokemon involves a Pokemon trainer who travels within the region to battle other trainers and collect 8 badges from the Pokemon Gym. Along the way the trainer catches Pokemon to add more data to the Pokedex, cross paths with the rival, and defeat an agtagonistic organization who causes who has diabolical plans before facing the Elite Four and the Pokemon Champion to be the best trainer.
On the 8th of September, the Pokemon Anime debuted on Television. It was an end of the 20th Century Fad among Americans. Pikachu is a well-known mascot for this meta-series. Even several new species appear in the Anime before the next gen Pokemon games come out. There are also toys, spin off games, and other merchandise for Pokemon.
When I first got into Pokemon, my obsession has developed to the point where I attempted to force everyone I know to like Pokemon. First it was the Anime, and then the actual game. Some of the people liked it, while others were so intolerant of the franchises existence. Those who hated Pokemon thought up comments that bash the franchise itself and come up with things that includes killing Pokemon and/or the humans in the games and cartoon. It angered me and i got myself into trouble because of i let my obsession with Pokemon get to my head.
A year later, Pokemon the First Movie came into theaters and I watched it. It was appealing to kids despite the negative reception from the critics. Also Pokemon Yellow, a rehash of Pokemon Red and Blue with elements from the cartoon, was released.
In 2000, the second generation of main Pokemon games came out. They are Pokemon Gold and Silver for Gameboy Color. Now, Pokemon have genders and a breeding system is introduced to make catching them all easier as well as the day and night system. The number of Pokemon increased from 151 to 251. A year later, Pokemon Crystal was released. Pokemnon Crystal was the first to have a female counterpart to the male protagonist.
On 2001, I stopped liking Pokemon because I believe that if I let it go, i would fit in with others. But I learned that it is not enough. But over time, I learn to tolerate the existence of the Pokemon Franchise because I learned that Satoshi Taijiri has Asperger's Syndrome, which I also have.
On 2003, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire was released for the Gameboy Advance. These games now have Double Battles, contests, and others. The number of Pokemon rose to 386. A year later, Pokemon Red and Blue were remade into Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. On 2005, Pokemon Emerald was released.
On 2007, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were released for the Nintedo DS. Now there are 493 Pokemon in total. The games' wifi enabled players to trade and battle with others around the world. The online feature of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl brought former Pokemon fans to the world of Pokemon for another chance. An upcoming rehash of Diamond and Pearl is known as Pokemon Platnium. The online feature was not the only reason I got back into Pokemon, the other reason was Lucario, a fourth generation of Pokemon.
The Pokemon Franchise has impacted the US culture with parodies such as Ling-Ling from Drawn Together, a parody of Pikachu. Even there is a meme that involves Mudkips with the phrase, "So I herd you liek mudkipz." Some fan artists anthropomorphize Pokemon into humanoids or exaggerate some of the female Pokemon ie. Gardevoir and Blaziken. Now, I only focus on the main games and never bother with the Anime or any spin off games. I understand the Pokemon franchise and it is better not to force everyone that I know to like Pokemon.
