The short description is huge party where our family invites EVERYONE we know to eat, game, etc for the day.

Its near Wellington, OH just to give a general idea of the distance you'd be driving. I'll only share the address by note/text in case there is anyone watching me that I don't actually know (e.g. that account that just watches everone.). XD

Turns out, as of today, 2 people just cancelled on me. I had 10 [for 2 rooms], but now I'm down to 8.

Ideally I'd like 12 people [6 per room], but 10+ is, hopefully, the minimum.

The rooms are for Wed(8th)-Monday(13th).

I charge total/people each night... so i won't have an exact figure till after I get my receipt, but I've set a hard cutoff at $200/person for the con ($40/person/night), if I don't get enough people and it would be more than that (i.e. <10), I'll just foot the rest, 'cuz I like being a nice guy... however, I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.

Also you can pay whenever/however, so long as I get it eventually. =p

there will certainly be lots of smash and booze till ungodly hours of the night (most nights) in at least one room, the other will probably just be for sleeping. If you plan on raiding booze, it'd be awesome if you bring a bottle to add to the collection.... but you know, whatevs.

With only a few weeks left, my hopes of getting a room with someone have... vanished.
However, there were still rooms available, so I made my own reservation.

That leads to a whole new 'issue'. I would prefer not having to foot $335 myself [thur, fri, and sat nights]... so if you or anyone you know are planning to head to MCFC, and still aren't sure where you're staying, let me know ASAP.

I THINK I got a single king bed... so chances are there's only floor space left, but their description wasn't very... descriptive... so who knows.

Hi.I have enough people wanting to room with me that I might need as much as two full rooms.

Yes, I attempted to register. As a matter of fact, I watched the countdown timer hit 0, refreshed, and clicked the link instantly... but there were exactly 0 rooms left in the Westin and the Courtyard [the two hotels I would greatly prefer].

So if you are/know someone who has (a) room(s) in either the Westin or the Courtyard from Wednesday night till Monday morning... please please please let me know.

For the longest time I was looking for room space for me and my 3 friends. I found it, but then, quite recently, it turns out the owner of the room, and the rest of the people in it... are no longer going. Luckily they hadn't cancelled the reservation yet, they're going to see about shifting it to my name.
The good news is... I now I have room for the 4 of us. The bad news is, 3 nights, 4ppl... gets a bit pricey. If any of you, or anyone you know, still need a room, I'm hopeing to find 2-3 more to help cut down on the price.

TLDR? Do you still need a room at MFF?

WHATS:
We have it every year. It's usually the first Sat. in August, but August snuck up on us so we're having it on the second one. Yes, the primary idea is fish... but there's plenty of other food served as well. It would be awesome if you could bring a dish to share. Last year, for the first time ever, we ran out of food before the night was over. However, it's not 'required' per say. If you're not gonna show 'cuz you have to bring food, forget the dish and come anyway.

WHYS:
It began years ago when my dad and his friends would fish all summer, throw it all in the freezer, then have a big party, inviting everyone we know, and cook it up. Since then we've had less time to go fishing, so most is store bought, and we include other meats for those less less inclined to enjoy fish.
It's also [CLASSIFIED]'s b-day as well, but they don't like people knowing.

Also, I'm waking up early the next morning and heading to Cedar Point for the furmeet there... If I don't know you well enough, and you want to stay, I'll ask you to leave when I do. Anyone else can sleep in and leave whenever... or if anyone wants... go with us to Cedar Point as well.

You're welcome to come (I wouldn't have sent an invite if you weren't), but it's not a 'furmeet' exclusively. You're welcome to wear ears/tails... suits even, my parents/friends are fine with it. However, be warned, we're inviting EVERYONE we know... so there's a good chance you'll have to stop quite often to explain why you're wearing it to some/most of my parents' friends if you do. XD

That's actually why I'm doing this. I was browsing my shouts, and saw my journal sitting above it saying I was excited for Ohayocon.
Q:How could I possibly make a journal for Ohayocon and completely neglect AC?

So anyway, AC was epic win this year. Spent more than I expected [...but honestly, who doesn't expect THAT?]. Met some awesome new furs... some I'm totes gonna have to go visit from time to time. Said all my old friend's too, love you guys! <3

If there were to be a single complaint I have about AC, it's the same one every year. Why isn't there more time. I swear, one of these years AC should just give in an buy the place up for a whole week. Maybe when we get a few more thousand there they're think about it eh?

Anywho, PCD strikes again, so if anyone wants to hang out here in the coming weekends just shoot me a note/comment and we'll work something out. I can never get enough furry hugs.

Time for Ohayocon.

I'm home safe and sound... swimming in the awesome memories of the weekend. It's somewhat like convention-afterglow... but at the same time, I know it's over and tomorrow it's looming closer by the minute. Sadly, I suppose I should be heading to bed, maybe have some final escapades in my dreams before i finally have to get in touch with reality in the morning. But my first MFF will always be remembered as one of the MOST AWESOMEST weekends ever. <3

I miss all of you... haven't gotten to see any of you it what feels like forever. =/

I, somewhat recently, found an app for android and/or ipods called "Words with Friends". Theres a free version and a paid version, the free one just has ads. It's basically scrabble... with friends... through the internet. SO... anyone who likes scrabble should DL the app and start up a game with me. I think my name on there is LucaFox, but if that doesn't work just send me a comment or note with your name and I'll start a game with you. ^^

Well, I've generally never been one to vent, especially not on FA [to be honest, I think this is the first journal I've written.]

But other people do it all the time... so there must be something to it, and I can't think of any more appropriate event than this to share/rage about.


I've been a Lifeguard at Splash Zone for five years now. Generally speaking, Lifeguards are promoted to manager between their second and third years working there, but, whether it be my bad luck, my soft-spoken self, or some bout of chance, three extra years passed before I was noticed as a possible applicant for the position. Sure, it was late in coming, but finally, back in August I was informed that I'd start shadowing this month to become a manager myself. I went about my duties, learned what I needed to know, and here I am at the end of September primed for today, my last day of shadowing, and ready to manage come October.
That was... until this morning's in-service. It seems, by some cruel twist of fate, the Red Cross or whoever it is in charge of things on the high end, decided that pool managers shouldn't be allowed to close at night, or open in the mornings, only the facility manager may. Seeing as these were two of the main reasons the pool manager position even existed, the park district decided, come November when the new guidelines take effect, they will no longer have pool manager positions. I tried my best not to get too depressed over it, told myself "at least you'll manage for a month so you can have it on your resume". But the current aquatics facility manager, whether it be her will, or the will of higher-ups passed down, politely informed me that the paperwork wasn't worth promoting me for the single month, and I would remain a lifeguard... FOREVER!!!

Between that, and the new "if you use a cell phone at work you're fired" policy adopted today... I think it's about time I go join everyone else at WalMart.
