So yeah, no lie, been neglecting this place badly. I got commissions I haven't uploaded for no reason other than "forgot to do it" and they're starting to pile up. That should change.

I dunno, a lot's been on my mind lately, depression's hitting hard, and I won't lie that I sometimes prefer other sites like Discord or Bluesky. I won't just destroy this place though, nah, gonna keep going as long as my ticker ticks.

So here's hoping the rest of the process goes well and the site is back to full functionality soon.

Aside from that... I think it's a Holiday and I didn't get anything ready.

So since the maintenance breaks yesterday, of course the site's had some hiccups here and there as the devs work to fix it up (good thing they are). My current thing is that I seem to be stuck with 26 seemingly unseen submissions that are simply not visible on my end.

It's not like crippling my ability to enjoy the site, it's just... odd. I'm sure it'll be fixed, it's just peculiar is all, I felt the need to say something on the subject.

Hiya friendoes, it's March. So perhaps now's a good time to do an update, especially since the lack of Twitter has effectively isolated me from the pokemon fandom's more toxic side and made my last journal seem a tad silly.

So yeah, Spring is slowly approaching, the last bits of snow around me are melting away, and weather is slowly warming up. Not sure what else to say right now. Been trying to maintain some form of presence here since it's hard to socialize IRL, and I still sort of want to make some impact as a Vtuber in a sense.

Fuck man, I dunno, things are weird and I'm in a position that is not ideal but admittedly better than some people's positions.

Hello whoever, this is a journal where I vent a bit.

Gave a link, but here's the basics of it. Discord apparently thinks that its easily breached databases deserve your sensitive info and face pics for some reason. Why? Because apparently Discord forgets that their primary user is the 18 to 50 year old furry, I guess. That's not an insult, I can't remember the last time I met someone under 18 on Discord.

So yeah, of course cancel your Nitro and get some Death Stranding screenshots, or whatever. I gotta be honest, I haven't been trusting Discord in ages, use has mostly been begrudging. People chose not to get on Guilded, and the Roblox guys took that over. People chose not to get on Revolt, now it's Stoat and has to clarify that it's not using GenAI code. Telegram got taken over by the worst people, and I don't think anyone wants to go back to Skype if it still exists.

So, now what? Is Stoat the alternative we want now that it's not using GenAI (at least I hope they aren't) or can we find another one?

I just don't want to have to put my face into Discord, because fuck that.

That said, I have a few weeks of employment in my future. Yay. It's just me doing temp work for my old company because they're desperate but also dying. It's an awkward position to be in, but it's where they are. Of course once these few weeks are up, poof, back to job hunting.

Also, got my taxes done, yay. So hopefully they'll send a check in mid march since they gotta delay it by 6 weeks.... Ugh.... I dunno. I hate this shit show too.

Well, as I shake off the bad feelings of just how this new job went down, I need to get back into streaming so I at least have SOMETHING going on.

Well everyone, got an update on the job situation. Turns out it won't work... at all.... and they don't care.

So, let's put down some background. Late last year I got in touch with a company that as far as they told me, were the guys who give out free samples of some freezer snack food at the Costco/BJ's. Guess what, I was desperate for a better job and soldiered on. I mentioned that I didn't have my own car, but assured them I could get around. Well, in comes yesterday, the first scheduled time and place. Where? Easily a full ass hour away by car. When? A time that's inconvenient for everyone. I mention this to the boss, he calls, I explain what's going on, say I'll call back once I talk to my roommate. Well, talk happens, it's impossible, so I attempt to call the employer back. Get his voice mail, it's full, can't leave a message. Guy has my name, phone number, e-mail, and address, only reason I SHOULD be getting a full voice mail box is if my call is being intentionally ignored. So, after a few texts to other numbers in the company, finally someone pops up and says "Okay, yeah, it's not gonna work due to travel requirements" and ya know, I'm fine with that. I reply saying "So I'm fired? Jeez, wish he said it to me instead of just ignoring me." I get one more reply saying "You weren't ignored, but you can still have the job if you can get there" and well, we already established I can't. So, no job there.

So yeah, if you plan to work for Summit Retail Solutions, expect idiotically long commutes, shitty hours, shitty management, and as a warning, YOU are responsible for storing the excess stuff that doesn't sell. So, if you got an 18wheeler, you're fine.

Bad news, the job I've been hyping up doesn't seem to want me anymore.

So for starters, this job was advertised as a sales position, during interviews I was told I would be stationed at a booth, in a BJ's Wholesale, with a food product of some sort (perogies were the example). Hey, good news, there's a BJ's in like a 10 or 20 minute ride from here, one I could access on a bus and with a bit of walking/biking (don't sweat the details, just read on). I was told I would get my schedule for my first week early in the new year. Well, that's today, here's what happened:

Got the email for the schedule. Address for the specific BJ's was one I didn't recognized. I used google to find the place, and it's AN HOUR LONG COMMUTE!!!! Hey, could've been warned ahead of time that I'd need to go that far, right? So I replied voicing the distance concern. Good news, guy from the company calls directly, I mention the concern, he mentions how I should be able to go that far in any direction should I be asked. A little late to warn me, eh? Could've been told this AHEAD OF TIME. Sure, nevermind stationing me in accessible locations that I have a mental roadmap for, just throw me into fucking Antarctica and call it a day, right?

Oh wait, there's another dumb detail, he just casually mentioned that I would be responsible for the display. I don't know how big these booths get, I assumed they were handled by another party. I can help set up or take it down, but I ride the bus, how am I gonna hold onto that?

So yeah, I'm fucked, I was gonna attempt to call him back and say "Hey man, I wasn't warned on any of that ahead of time, can we station me in a reasonable area and let someone else handle the display storage?" and hopefully salvage this job, which would have paid nicely AND had decent commission, but it turns out the guy's voicemail is full. So now I either have to wait longer, or keep trying hoping to grab his attention when he's available.

God, can't believe I was swept in by the hype. I should've known it wasn't worth it, but that would've required me to have information that was hidden.

Hey, if you're the kind of person who watches my streams, I think I finally know how I'm gonna balance my streaming with my new job.

So, as a recap, my upcoming job will require me to work 10 hour days for 4 days a week. As such, it IS money coming in, but working from 8 to 6 or 9 to 7, gonna be super exhausted for most of those. And that's assuming I don't get asked to do an extra thing at the end (it's possible). So, I'll be streaming largely on the days off and using the evenings of my work days for me time.

That said, Sunday should be relatively unchanged. Maybe change an hour or 2, I dunno. Monday's gonna become a streaming day, and Wednesday will likely be a break because of the early start time the next day.

Sounds like a lot to take in, but hey... think of this way. If the job pays as much as I've been told, this gallery is gonna be loaded with self indulgent kink art commissions.
