Warning about a fake FurAffinity
Posted 6 months agoIf you go to FurAffinity.com (not FurAffinity.NET) there is a fake copy of this web site. Not sure if it's a honeypot or what but watch closely to make sure you don't try to login and then find it's malicious.
Updates and questions, if anyone is still here
Posted a year agoI've gotten to where I occasionally comment, and with other sites really going downhill, I am finding myself here more often. As such, I may start dropping art that I have been working on from time to time, as well as the occasional question if anyone wants to share their knowledge.
One thing is that I'm picking my alcohol markers up again. I've been trying to use everything from both store brand and name brand Sharpies, as well as so called "artist markers," both in store brands and on up to Spectra AD. I have also tried several types of papers ranging from essentially filler paper for binders to Hammermill (printer paper) and even name brand sketchbooks marketed for markers and watercolors. (I do like koi watercolor, btw.) As yet, when I try to make them to blend and, in general, to create a gradient, I wind up making more of a blob than anything. What am I doing wrong, or is that just something that happens when I'm using the wrong supplies? As of now, I can't justify Copic due to my lack of skill. Should I just spring for them anyway?

Prejudice "SFW furry chat" advertised here on FurAffinity
Posted 3 years agoI wound up joining a so called "SFW furry chat" that was running an ad here on FurAffinity, and at first, I was making a few friends, and the discussion was pretty good. However, there were a few people coming in that started to force their views into the chat, and when I asked them to please show some respect, I wound up being banned. I consider everyone valuable and equal, but some of the groups promoted don't, even enacting hate speech against those that don't exactly align to their views, including that certain aspects such as sexual orientation defines a person. Why is a group like this allowed to run ads here?
Why do I have this?
Posted 7 years agoAs rarely as I ever use my FurAffinity page, I kinda wonder why I have it. Part of it is because it doesn't have convenient, or "easy" way to browse the site, and doesn't render well on my portable devices. Most of the people here I actually talk to, I have on Twitter or Discord, and most of my art I see on DeviantArt. Essentially, this site doesn't do anything that the other services I use haven't already improved upon. Am I just not giving this site the chance to shine? Am I using it wrong?
Scaly furs on Telegram
Posted 7 years agoTurns out I made a mistake recommending the group I did here. There is one particular member who ruined the whole group.
