Where has the time gone, we're almost halfway through the year already! It really is flying on by. Life has been ok for the most part, just trying to keep up one day at a time.

I just wanted to say thank you for supporting me and taking the time to view, fav, or comment on my work! I'm in a better spot art-wise and would like to offer up some free single character doodles for those interested to keep the art juices flowing. These would be artistic freedom, headshot/bust only colored sketches. If you would like to get one, either comment below in this journal or send me a note with the character you want done. No limited slots at the moment, but I'm thinking of keeping this
open for only 1-2 weeks.

Heya! It has been a while since the last journal. Art-wise, things have been up and down this year. I have done more art than last year, which is a plus!

I'm in the process of creating a few free-to-use anthro bases to help those who need a basic reference. A little something to give back to the community. Right now, only fox, wolf, and cat bases are planned. Linework only and compatible with MS Paint for easy editing. They'll be posted on my Ko-Fi once finished.

This year I've been struggling with regular drawing practice and drawing for myself in general. It often feels like if it's not for someone else, then why bother? I want to post art more often, but the constant need to perfect everything and the anxiety to even post makes it extremely difficult. I've been using Postybirb to schedule some submissions in advance, and that does help ease the posting anxiety a bit, but I still need help with drawing more often. I'll be participating in more art challenges, which has helped to get me out of this rut in the past.

Job hunting hasn't been going too well. Since being out of work for the past six months, funds are draining fast, so I now have commissions open—only five slots. Please get in touch if you want some art done!

Next year, I have plans to experiment more with backgrounds and characters in various scenes rather than just portraits. Have to start using traditional media more too. I have built up quite a collection over the years lol. I also want to delve more into character design by making adoptables. We'll see how that pans out.

Sooo that's about all with me. How are things with you all? Have you been working on anything new lately? Anything you're looking forward to in the next year?
