Back to work today, after a VERY unexpected long weekend with my babu coming down all the way from Norrn Irrn I'm finally home and rested enough where I can get back to work!!

Why?

Like... Can someone explain to me, because I'm genuinely confused why people charge extra for gender bending on a YCH.

Let's say there's a male YCH going, and it's badass. and you want a female character in that spot, gender bent to be a male.
All the person has to do is put that character's markings/species in... Same as any other YCH
That's it.
No body changes, nothing. Because it's a character gender bend.
Simply a female character, drawn as a male - as intended, in a male YCH.

Why does that require an extra charge???
That doesn't make sense...

And by the time i woke up again at around midday, I apparently got sick :/

So the Terror Level in the UK has been raised to Critical after the incidents in Manchester today.
I'm a wee smol bit nervous about going into London in 8 days for a book launch now..
I'm still gonna go, I'm just vaguely worried, as the signing/launch party is like.. right next to Westminster, Big Ben, The Thames, Victoria Station etc etc.

I also know a fair few of my watchers are likely going to London's MCM, and I just wanted to say PLEASE be safe and super vigilant. Do what you can to be safe, but obviously by all means try and have fun.

We can't let terrorism, terrorize us. Otherwise they've won.
We need to stand strong together, hold our heads high, keep calm, and carry on.

Okay, so I'm quite surprised by this honestly, but apparently a fair amount of people have a lot of interest in getting reference sheets from me. So I'm going to give you a lil bit of info about the circumstances surrounding them, and some Frequently asked Questions I get.





FAQ's;


Why Do You Not Do Reference Sheet Commissions Very Often?
I find reference sheets very draining honestly, I have a lot more fun doing commissions or YCH's, shading and the like.
This doesn't however mean that I don't take reference sheet commissions at all, I will. Just not very often.


Why Do You Never Post That You're Open For Reference Commissions?
For the same reasons as above, I prefer not to alert people that I do them, as then the amount of interest will go up, and I'll have to turn people down. As well as this, it also saves time, as people inquiring about Reference Sheet commissions tend to be more "Serious" about wanting them.
HOWEVER
Thanks to a suggestion from a friend, I will be taking Seasonal Reference sheets.
So I'll take on one in Summer, One in Spring, One in Autumn, One in Winter.
4 Reference sheets a year seems fair, won't be too draining on me, and allows people to get reference sheets from me, but also keep them a somewhat rarity.


Soooo... What Are Your Prices For A Sheet?
I couldn't tell you that. My reference sheets have no one "set price".
I split them into segments, and let the commissioner pick what aspects they'd like, and as a result they choose their own price.

For Example;
Full body Flat Colour (Front); $65

Half Body Flat Colour (Back); $35

Bust Flat colour; $25

Close up ears/Other feature; $15

Drawn Out 'Likes'; $15-$20
(Three to four SIMPLE items. Don't take the piss.)

Extra likes; +$5 per extra

Complex Like; +$10 per extra
(ie. plushies of friends sona's/characters with full reff sheets/Pets)

4 Outfits; $10 for first, $5 for others, totalling $25
(Just the clothes)

4 Chibi outfits; $35 for first, $5 for others, totalling $50
(1 chibi mannequin, copy pasted with different clothing variations)

Close up eyes; $5

Mouth view; $10

Paw Pads; $5

NSFW version; $10
(NSFW, flacid/neutral depiction on the existing views)

NSFW Heart shaped shmoo/bootyhole; $5
(For females only)

NSFW erect peenor closeup; $10
(For characters with cocks only)

Character Complexity; $5 - $10 (If your character is relatively simple, this charge does not apply)

You could also have a Full Body Flat Colour Back view, which would cost the same as the Full Body Front View ($65)


God Damn, That's all really expensive e.0
It's only as expensive as you want it to be, Each "piece" I create in a reference sheet for you, can be segmented into it's own individual piece, and used as such.
As well as this, you have to think about your character strategically - Do They *need* a back view for example? Is there anything on your character's Back that needs to be seen? If not, you can likely get away with just a front facing Full Body, maybe two outfits, and a close up of the eyes. That's only $85 :)


Still Though...
If you're still unhappy with my prices, you're more than welcome to go elsewhere.
I come up with these prices based on what I would charge for those standard Flat Colour Commissions, which is essentially what a reference sheet is - lots of flat colours.
You're more than welcome to find someone cheaper, or even use a base.
In my opinion however, my prices are fair.

When you try and book a Dr's Appointment with the only Doctor you actually "know" because it's mental health related, and you struggle to talk to people you don't know, and he's booked up entirely for the next solid month (y)
Got offered an phone call appointment instead, for a week and a half's time. That'll do I suppose..

So I wanna do some warm-ups, so for the first time in a WHILE I'm doing freebies.

There's some rules though, as I've had a LOT of negative experiences when offering people freebies.


1. Don't be an asshole
If you don't get something, don't throw a fit over it. That's life

2. +Watch me if you're not already.
I guess you don't have to, but it's common courtesy.

3. I'll draw as much or as little as I'm willing to, These are warm-ups, so don't expect anything super details or extravagant.
What you get depends on the complexity of your character, or if I really enjoy the character visually or not

4. I have noooo idea how many I'll be doing, please don't ask.

5. Don't be rude.
To me, to others watching, whatever. Just don't be overtly offensive. If it's an accident fine, but don't flame or troll each other.

6. DON'T post your reff before I'm ready, or before I say "Go".
There will be "tests" ie, ready... set.. go.. In different messages.
If you post before "go" you're disqualified from that round.

7. You are not entitled to anything from me.
I am doing these for free, from my own time as warm-ups. If I'm not comfortable drawing something, I won't do it.




There's also some conditions,

In order to give everyone an equal chance, The first five people to post their reffs will be asked a question, and whoever gets the correct answer first will get the freebie.
Almost like a quiz.

This stops people from just having their reff constantly copy pasted into the chat, and gives everyone a fairer chance.

The first few questions will likely be about me, my characters, or my page - then I'll move on to generalized questions that anyone could answer

Has anyone tried CBT for anything?

Anxiety namely, but anything I guess. CBT is CBT really :P
I've been looking it up, but most of the stuff I've found, I'm already doing, and doesn't help anything at all..
Like.. Spotting negative thoughts, challenging them and shit.

I'm WELL aware 99% of the stuff I think about aren't even remotely likely, or are just plain untrue.
I KNOW I'm thinking irrationally, but it does literally nothing to help.

I had a 'thing' last night and got all worked up, It's Sunday today though so I can't get to see a Dr till tomorrow, but I'm definitely going.
It's started to impact my life a lot more, and far more regularly now, and it's really exhausting, and I feel like if it carries on I'm gonna push my loved ones away, which in and of itself just promotes more worry/anxiety x-x

so like.. yeah.. Does CBT actually help? Because I'm really looking into it a lot, and I fail to see how it's going to help.
I'm not a moron, I'm well aware that the way I'm thinking is stupid, and irrational, and super unhelpful.

And they're not worries about things that have solutions either. So I can't do that "writing down possible solutions" thing. Because it's worries that require reassurance if anything, Which I've started talking openly about, as asking for. But again.. still not helping.

This would be where, based on a poll you guys fill out - I create a fan art piece of your choosing, and when I hit each milestone of donations I'll complete more and more of the drawing - and this would be a SFW/NSFW type thing, where I was thinking it could maybe be used as a print later down the line if anyone's into that kind of thing?


"PWYW" Commissions;
This is where you just throw a monetary offer at me, $15 minimum, and your character's reference sheet - and I'll do you a commission that fits that amount.
For example a higher offer would get your more than a lower offer. Anything from a sketch to a painting.


Painting Commissions;
These would just be regular commissions, but they'd be limited to painted pieces.
As a whole they'd be more expensive, however the also have the most detail and time put into them.

So, I've been approached by a few different "printing" people through FA in the last month alone, like - Where they want me to join their sites and sell stuff with them and stuff. Prints, Tshirts, things like that.

Is that anything any of your are interested in?
I was also of the assumption that most people don't flaunt their furriness in the physical world (Aside from suits obviously)

But YEAH, If I were to take something like that up, would anyone be interested? o.0
