One of my super kind watchers gifted me a name change the other day because my IMVU account was hacked and the name was changed from "iDarquesse" to "sodo" - Which, after the gift, I then changed to "LittleRogue"....


Now, either the hacker SOMEHOW still has access to my account, and changed it back. Or IMVU revoked the name change.....


Just sent then another help ticket.


This is taking the piss now.

Okay, So can someone explain to me how the fuck I can "win" this game of liberalism please???

I post something about sexuality or other LGBT issues, stating NOTHING about my own sexuality, and I get people yelling at me saying "You're cis, you're not allowed to comment!!" Assuming I'm straight, which I am, so I can't really argue.

So I then preface shit by saying, "I know I'm cis so I know I have no place to say anything, but..." Then go into my point trying to like.. Help/show support?
NONE of what I say is ever against LGBT+ rights, it's always in support.

And I get people saying "What does this have to do with you being cis...?"

So, I got my account back...
I was hacked by some knob head from Switzerland.
He changed my name, my gender, my password, my email, my picture, bought a BUNCH of shit.

I have honestly NO idea where all my credits have gone..

I DID have 300k+ , but now I only have about 80k, more like 70k if you ignore promo credits...


And it doesn't look like IMVU are going to reimburse my credits, OR my name..

So..
I'm annoyed.

I refuse to pay out for stuff that happened that was through no fault of my own.

Regardless, at least the Swiss toolbag left be with *something*.

So.. I just tried to log in because I wanted to commission someone with IMVU credits... and some wanker's stolen my IMVU account somehow???

I've never given my password out to anyone, they'#ve changed the email associated with it, changed the name, EVERYTHING.
Is there any way I can get it back...???

I saw a youtuber talking about this kind of thing the other day, and since he said it, it's become painfully obvious to me that it's true for any self made career that revolves around "numbers" - ie, views, watchers, favourites, likes, dislikes, comments, etc etc


Don't get me wrong, I LOVE what I do. I love creating art for people and making them happy, I love the reactions I get and how the hard work I put in is genuinely appreciated and loved.

But no one ever tells you about the darker side of it.
I've noticed since hitting a certain number on this site, and it's something that apparently a lot of Youtuber's go through as well, as well as DA artists, Twitter artists, - But it gets REALLY hard to trust people.

And not even in the way you might think.

Like.. Since hitting this certain number, there's people who I thought were super genuine, who have then turned out to be only trying to be pally with me to get the numbers by association.
Or people who note me trying to be be friends constantly, which I NEVER had before. and apart from the numbers, there's literally nothing I'm doing differently.


And no one ever seems to really talk about it?

But like.. If you want to get into this style of "game" whether, it's youtube, art or something else. Make your friends BEFORE you start to get anywhere.
Make your friends with people who you KNOW will like you for you, and not people who want to end up just using you.

You can make friends after the fact, sure you can. But you'll never *really* know.

There's a study I read back in College when I was doing psychology, that said only 50% of all friendships are actually reciprocated to the same extent..

Just something that's worth thinking about/considering I think :s
Especially if you're someone who has issues with anxiety or paranoia, or trust in general.

The steadier your income gets, the harder it will be to find genuine people who care about the person behind the numbers.

Heya guys, I really didn't want to make this journal and air my dirty laundry out to the world, but frankly I want 100% open, honest transparency. So I'll give you a rundown of the last 3 years, and where I'm at now, and then what I need help/advice with.

General;
- In 2014, I was in college and doing art on the side.

- In 2014, a week before my exams, my parents announced their divorce and I consequently got terrible results. Not 100% the fault of the divorce, not trying to pass off blame, but it was a LOT for me to take at once.

- After that, I lost ALL my irl friends, because of everything going on, and wanting to focus on art rather than going out drinking and partying, I kept declining invites to go out, and eventually they stopped asking, and then eventually stopped talking to me entirely.

- Queue extremely bad break up, and a really shitty time in my life that I don't want to go into too publicly.


Divorce/Family Specific;

- I am an only child.

- My parents were never good people. They were both emotionally abusive, my dad sometimes physically towards my mum.

- During the divorce, my mum and I weren't getting on at ALL. and My dad was taking advantage of that and manipulated me into staying with him.

- Because I was staying with him my mum agreed to take a considerably smaller percentage of everything, on the condition that he made sure I had a roof over my head, and that I'm never in a situation where I'm made homeless.

- Dad agreed, he took the larger percentage of the money and furniture and we moved. My mum went to Scotland.




After Divorce Events;

- My dad alienated me against my mother for a LONG time. I only just started speaking to her again this year.

- My dad has continued to be emotionally abusive to me, causing my social anxiety to become more extensive, and I've now been diagnose with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and just recently (Within the last week) Depression as well.

- I hate living here, I want out. I have done for a while but I haven't been able to get the funds together for it.

- Art is my sole income, I cannot get a shitty retail job to supplement my earnings, because I have issues with my legs and feet which makes it impossible for me to stay standing for 12 hours a day without being in immense pain to the point of tears when I get home. (I've tried to push through it, I simply can't. It's too painful)

- I only have a job when it suits him and I'm earning a decent amount, the rest of the time I'm a useless, burden, and a complete waste of space and "selfish bitch".

- I'm only an adult when it suits him, the rest of the time I'm a naive child who doesn't know shit about life or.. Well.. anything..

- Dad is putting the house up for sale so he can retire and live with his "new" fiance, who I hate and suspect is a gold digger.


EMERGENCY/ The last two days;

- My dad has told me the house has sold...

- We have to be out by mid October...

- I mentioned the agreements of the divorce, and he scoffed and said that he never agreed to that...


SO BASICALLY, my entire life has been thrown up in the air.

I'm going through my options with my mother, as I've been in contact with her this year and we're on MUCH better terms, she's a very different person now, she's changed a lot, largely I think to being able to get away from my abusive father;
But Everything's up in the air, I might be homeless by October, I might not be - It really all depends on what options I have.
I have people who have said I can stay with them whilst I get my life together, but none of them are exactly practical.

Now, what I need advice with is work, and commissions.

I can't stop working simply because my dad's a wanker.
I did plan on doing "seasonal" reff sheet commissions, but I'm now hesitant to do that, as the next slot is Autumn.. October, and I don't want to take money from someone when I don't know if I can complete it, or give it my full attention.

My friends suggested after I finish my current queue that I try "Iron/Bronze" artist style commissions? Where I take one, and finish one every day? But I worry that I won't be able to earn enough to save my own arse.

I'm going to do everything I can to avoid taking on a big heap of commissions out of necessity and then not be able to keep up with them. I don't want to make the mistakes I've seen so many other artists on this website do, and get myself in a place where I need to refund people when I can't afford to.
I DO NOT want to do that. I've never had to give a refund in my whole time of being on this website, and I'm not about to start now.. So... Basically.. I just need advice.

What do I do?
What's the best course of action for me to take?

Would likely be my best bet, but I really REALLY need your opinions, thoughts and advice - From fellow artists, commissioner, watchers, anyone.
I can't just cease to function and bury my head in the sand. I need to work something out that's beneficial for everyone if I can. That doesn't leave people waiting on commissions, that doesn't leave me under a pile of angry commissioners when shit hits the fan and I'm in the middle of a move, or possibly being homeless.

I have roughly 6-7 weeks. So I'm trying to workout what I can do *now* before I run out of time and have to cram.

ANY advice or suggestions I'm more than happy to listen to/take!!!

I'm just getting really sick and tired of seeing the same thing over... And Over.... And Over....... And Over............ And Over....................
I understand they're a super easy and helpful way for people to make a quick buck, and I'm sure they're super helpful for a load of people. But I'm just *so* sick of seeing re-colours of the same thing constantly.
The same goes for like... Adoptable's, not even just "base YCH's".

It's not something I'm angry about, not remotely. It's just....
I dunno.
It makes me feel tired almost, seeing the same rehashed stuff over and over.

It really does grate on you after a while. Like a really dull headache that just manages to press on the distant recesses of your thoughts - not enough to become an issue. But just enough to push you into total and complete apathy towards everything.

OKAY.
So after coming back from London, I seem to be in the habit of waking up at a somewhat decent time.
Beforehand I'd be waking up at like.. 2pm. Sometimes later.
I'm honestly not sure why, it's just very hard for me to wake up, even with alarms.

ANYWAY, besides the point.
I'm getting up earlier, and with any luck I'll be able to train myself to get up earlier and earlier.
And with this extra time, I'd love to continue working on writing a book(possibly series?), and maybe one day getting it published.

Basically... Would anyone like to help me beta-read as I go along writing?
I'm pretty sure I have a solid plot, story, world, characters all laid out. Though I do think they need refining - as since I've started I've had a LOT more ideas and expansion points.

But yeah, I'm looking for beta readers - who'd be willing to give constructive feedback on the stuff I'm writing, as and when I need it <3


And in terms of art, my work days and times are now 7 days a week, 11am - 10pm

And as I progress sorting out my sleep pattern, I'd like to hopefully be able to start work at at LEAST 9 every day.
