Where's the love for Ratchet & Clank?? For a community that lost their minds over Zootopia (granted, a worthy reason) I haven't seen any comments, art, or posts about groups gathering to go see this movie. Especially with all the gamers in the fandom this kinda surprised me. But anyway, I saw it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it! The critics seemed to not agree but eff them. :D Not the most original plot and animation isn't on the same level with Zootopia of course, but still it had really fun characters, plenty of "lol" moments, beautiful designs (especially the ships and city/background) and a lot of good references, especially if you're a fan of the game. So anyway, I think it's worth checking out!

Gah, I'm getting old and stuff! D: Kinda scary how quickly the years go by anymore. Seems like only yesterday I hit my first furry convention.....back in 1995. Lol.

but my God people, learn some basic anatomy first!! Ugh.

Just little FYI, kinda slowing down on the art thing for awhile. I was going to take 2014 to work on some other hobbies of mine, namely trying to learn how to play bass guitar. Hehe. Picked up a pretty nice one at a pawn shop! So might not see much art from me for a little while. Hopefully I'll be back to it before too long but I dunno. I think I've kinda hit a ceiling with art and don't know if I can improve much more past where I'm at. Fees like I've been growing out of the whole furry thing anyway, maybe because of the new job or just lack of time/interest for cons anymore. Not much room these days for the old relics like me. :D I'll still be around though!

I passed!!! :D I am now 'officially' hired though still under a 6 month probation but generally they keep you on unless you start screwing up badly or coming in late. Hehe. Excellent benefits, free dental, pay raise from my prior job, etc. :D Thanks for all the well wishes!! Hopefully I can get back to drawing now soon!

I'm still alive! :) Sorry for the lack of art and activity here lately from me but I'm still going through the training at my new job. Employment is contingent on passing these three tests though so far so good. The third and final test on the training will be this Friday. Wish me luck!! When (If) I pass this last test then I'll be safe. It's been like some bad reality show. Hehe.

So I'm two weeks into the seven weeks of job training and I passed the first of three tests!! Whoo! I was pretty anxious about it all, I haven't really had to study and do test taking in about 7-8 years now so I was a little rusty but still made it. Glad that I got through one of them at least, kinda proved to myself that maybe I'm capable enough to actually get through it all. Also received the first paycheck too. >:D I'm going to the mall!! Hehe.

Sorry for the lack of art stuff lately but going through a bit of a job transition thing that's been distracting me lately! I have a chance at a new job that pays like +$20k over what I'm making now but there's also a chance of winding up unemployed if I go for it. Hehe. Tough call! Though my current bosses are having a meeting tomorrow about me. Hoping for a good counter-offer so that I can stay in my familiar, cushy job instead. :D Have to see what happens with it!

Edit: I start on the new job Monday! Higher paying, better benefits, though probably harder and at least initially a risk that I'll be let go. :o See how it all unfolds!

Anybody else hitting Otakon?? Weekend of August 9th down in Baltimore I believe. I should be there!! Not been to Otakon since 2002 I think it was. :o

NONE, None of them! Mohaha!! :D Just wanted to clear up my last journal, it was too big and I was getting tired of looking at it. Though I'll probably hit FurFright at least. That and Otakon which isn't really furry but eh, should be fun anyway. :)

Whoo! That art auction was a lot of fun actually! :D First time I'd ever really done something like that. Thanks to everyone that participated! Now it's my responsibility to disappear for six months, not draw anyone, and then resurface a year late with new commissions auctions right?? :D I think that's how it's supposed to go. Hehe. But I DO draw kinda slow, but consistent, so this journal will be here to keep everyone up-to-date on my progress. This'll be a learning experience for me, that's for sure!

Yeah another of those kinda journals. :D Merry Christmas and happy Festivus or whatever you celebrate! Didn't really feel like Christmas this year around though. Maybe because I already celebrated it a couple weeks back with my immediate family. Hehe. OR because I have to work tomorrow! Ughs, I think that's more likely the case. But still was another dinner at my sister's tonight along with the rest of the family. Not really a huge family any more these days but still it was cozy and fun. :)

I almost want to make an on-line satirical publication for the fandom in line with "The Onion" and call in "The Funion!" :D I can't think of any articles that wouldn't piss everyone off though. One thing the fandom, in general, isn't good at is laughing at itself. Hmmmms.

I survived! Yay!! :D Though I'm still without power which sucks. Been like 5 days now or something. Work finally got power though which is where I'm at now catching up on e-mail and journals and stuff. But just letting people know I'm alive and well. Hehe. No damage to my condo, yard, car, body, Jake, etc. at least so I consider myself lucky given the level of destruction around me. Crazy stuff though. Never seen a storm that bad in my lifetime. :o Thanks sooooooo much to all the friends that let me come over to charge my stuff, chill, watch horrible scary DVDs and all that fun stuff that helped pass the time. :)

Whoo!!! Special day for me today!!! I turn old!! I won't say how old but it has a "0" at the end of it. *cries* Though my boyfriend is visiting for the weekend and many awesome adventures planned so it's going to be a good extended weekend!!! :D

So I'm up against a very stink lion in the FFFF. This morning I was losing like 4:1 to him! This is horrible. I know I'll still lose but if you care to, go and vote for me so at least I won't lose by AS bad a margin. I think it's more like 3:1 this evening when I last checked. Foxes unite!!! :D

Whoo!! Logged into FA this morning and saw that I was my own 50,000th viewer!! Whoo!!! I win my own free art! I'm so excited!! What should I draw for myself?? Hmmmms. Something with a fox and cute shorts maybe? :D

Now normally I'm a very many man and rarely cry or show emotion (okay, that's a lie) but there are a few movies that just break me down. Here's my list of three:

Watership Down - EVERY time I see this I'm reduced to tears. Darn you Art Garfunkel!

Iron Giant - ".....Superman" *BAWLS* This is one of my favorite movies of all time, go see it if you haven't already!

Fox and the Hound - When the nice elderly woman is taking Todd off to the forest to leave him there. Again the music/song really gets to me. :((

So what's yers?? I know a lot might say Lion King but I dunno, that scene was certainly sad but never really got me choked up. I think I was too angry with Scar at the time. Hmmmms.

9. Have you been to this con before? Nope, first time!

9a. If so, any advice on things to do at the con? I dunno, but it's Atlanta so I'd suggest to stay in the hotel and not wander the streets.

9b. Any advice on restaurants in the area? Bring Pop-tarts!!!

10. Why are you going? It's the con closest to where my fox lives and we'd never done a convention together. ^.^ Should be fun! That and a lot of friends are going to this one too so wanting to see them and try to force myself to be a bit more social again. See how that goes!

Whoo!!! Haven't really been to a con outside of my home state since MFF of 2010! But still, going to FWA this year and should even have a new fursuit head. Not that anything was wrong with the old one, but it was an opportunity I couldn't say no to. :D Who else is going??

Contest time! In honor of my 3000th watcher, I am giving away a single-character full color art commission! A rarity because doing them scares me. :D This contest is a bit of a scavenger hunt I guess and should benefit people who have been actively keeping up with my art over the years!
