Endangered animal donation drive
General | Posted 15 years agoA few artists are getting together to work up some funds for the WWF.
They are running a raffle! if it is of your persuasion, they also offer images for even donating a bit, as low as $5.

Unfortunate events
General | Posted 15 years agoMy baby ball python had a horrible physiological malfunction, and didn't make it. She was exhibiting very strange movements and behaviours. Apaprently she had caught a form of virus that is common for commercially bred reptiles, but I really can't stop blaming myself for her situation.
I feel like I should've been able to help more.
I just didn't know what to do.
A more recent problem occurred with my colony of orange head cockroaches. They were content, they were reproducing quickly, they were eating what I fed them, and they were laying off of each other for the most part. Only minimal wing biting, and some had none at all. We left for a short trip for a few days, and I didn't know that the house's heating was off.
Every one of them died from the cold spike over the weekend.
It might not seem like much of a pet, but I really did love those roaches. They were very active, very interesting, and it almost seemed like they had different personalities from one another.

Health problems?
General | Posted 15 years agoI've lost some weight and I'm significantly weaker than I used to be, even when compared to how I was just half a year ago.
I never have an appetite, unless it's been close to a day since I last ate.
Also, my energy tends to run out pretty quickly.
I'm not sure why this is happening, but it may be something about which I should be concerned.

This really great artist is taking relatively free icon commissions!
If he gets fifty dollars worth of donations, he's going to do all of 'em, rather than just the first twenty.

Life continuity
General | Posted 16 years agoI'm currently having one of those experiences where you slow down, analyze yourself, and decide that you want to do something differently.
I really want to be skilled with quite a few different things, but I never actually keep to practicing them.
-Learn how to use Reason better
-Actually learn how to play keyboard
-Maintain practice with guitar
-study music theory more (circle of fifths, stuff like that)
-Develop better general artistic skills (proportions, expressions, etcetera)
I like to pick up new things, but I never actually keep studying them. I hit the part where it gets a little difficult and decide to 'put it on hold' immediately. Problem is, it never gets taken off of hold it seems.
I am so lazy! This needs to end!

Chain Meme
General | Posted 16 years agoRules for the meme
1) Post these rules
2) Post 8 true things about yourself
3) At the end you must tag 6 people and post their icons
4) Go to their page and send them a message saying you tagged them
5) NO TAG-BACKS
1) I am very easily frustrated,
2) I have precious little patience for a lack of supporting logical evidence when it comes to debates, despite being easily brought to an emotional and inefficient state myself.
3) I am very sensitive to cold temperatures, but quite enjoy warm ones. I am a complete wuss when it's even slightly breezy out (according to others, it certainly feels frigid to me), but entirely comfortable and at home when others are sweating and removing clothing.
4) I have a high amount of bilirubin in my system, which means that I become jaundiced at the drop of a hat. Even if I'm just dehydrated, I get jaundiced.
5) I am quite good at math, but don't like it very much.
6) I have not had a driver's license yet, despite this being the month of my 21st birthday.
7) I am obsessed with role-playing.
8) I am particularly obsessed with one role-playing character in particular, Sekarra the Medusa archer.
TAGGING:: (I don't actually have six friends here, so I will tag the only one not already done :< )

akagenBirthday business
General | Posted 16 years agoAlrighty, planning something for my birthday on the 21st.
On it, I'll be 21.
That means that we will be imbibing alcohol, likely at someone's house.
Joe, what does your schedule look like? I would enjoy very much so if you could make it.
I'm all for shaping this party day for when more people can make it.
