Still having wrist problems
General | Posted 12 years agoIt's not hurting as bad as it was last week, but the persistent aches and pains can't be a good sign. As of now, I can only draw for about 1-2 hours at a time before I need to stop and ice my hand. I'll still be working on everyone's commissions but I'll have to take things a little slower or else I'll end up like how I was last week or possibly even worse. I'm incredibly sorry for the inconvenience and I'm grateful for your patience with me.
I'm going to look into scheduling an appointment with the doctor to get this checked out and just hope for the best.

Life Update
General | Posted 12 years agoGonna be gone this weekend for Taiyou con then I'm back to school on the 13th, so you'll be seeing a little less of me over the next few months. I'll still be taking art commissions for the most part, but I might have to close at times if homework builds up too much.
I've also biffed my hand and really irritated the tendons so I'm gonna use the weekend to take a short break and let it rest before getting back to drawing. Thanks in advance to my commissioners for being patient with me.

AFC Con Report
General | Posted 12 years agoOnly went on Saturday and wow was I tired so it was all kind of a blur. I was running around all day with fursuit and masquerade stuff, so I didn't even really get to go to the dealers hall nor any panels (besides Myenia's painting panel, which was fantastic). It wasn't a complete loss anyways, since I wasn't too interested in what was going on to begin with.
Competing in the masquerade was pretty fun, especially considering it was my first one, but wow it really takes a lot out of you. I originally entered as a novice because I had never won awards nor been in a masquerade, but the judges were so impressed with my work that I got bumped up to the masters category and took home the Best in Master award, which is really cool. I was kinda bummed I didn't get the Best in Show award, but I'm still glad to have gotten such a prestigious award, not to mention I'm sure the judges had really great reasons for choosing who they chose.
My main hopes are that next year the con expands and organizes a bit better, since this one felt really cramped and kind of all over the place. If AFC does continue, I'm hoping to enter again next year and hopefully get the Best in Show award, but we'll see!

General | Posted 12 years agoWhat exactly do people look for in vore artwork? Like I'm currently just drawing it how I want to, but I'm wondering if there's something in specific that people look for in it, like a certain scenario or look or something. Just curious really!
Either way, expect more of it on here since I'm slowly discovering that I really like drawing it. I just need to... figure out characters for it, since I've never made critters for use with such things? I had an idea for a big dragoness but I'm not sure if that's overdone or anything. x__x

Bleh Venting
General | Posted 12 years agoDrawing is fun and all but it's like I keep getting this feeling like what's the point? I really don't get any sort of attention for what I do (which isn't my goal) and I know you should draw for yourself and all but... ya know, some positive feedback and reinforcement would be really cool, even if it was just a little bit.
It just gets frustrating when I try hard to improve and push myself artistically and then I get nothing in return for it. Improvement for the sake of improvement is of course great, but a few of the big reasons I want to improve is so I can get more attention to my art for things like commissions, art trades, making other artist friends, and just sharing my work with others. But it's difficult when it feels like all the work you do isn't getting you anywhere, it's like I'm beating my head against the wall here.
I've been on this site for over two years and I really don't have anything to show for it. I didn't make any friends, I haven't gotten any commissions, I've only done two trades (which I had to initiate), and it really feels like no one gives a damn about what I work hard on to put out. Maybe I'm doing things wrong? Maybe I should just duck out of drawing furs and go back to humans? I just really don't know... aughh, art is hard.
