Cursed Mass Effect Livestream at 8 p.m. EST!
Posted 2 years agoOsiyo, Everyone!
I'm going live on my Youtube channel at 8 p.m. EST tonight (that's roughly in 30 minutes) to continue with the most-likely cursed Mass Effect 1 gaming stream.
Get your snacks. Round up your drinks. Start brewing your coffee. Build up your floor pallet. Hold onto your favorite cushion or pet, 'cause there's no telling what the curse will inflict on tonight's stream.
Until then, later.

My Time at Sandrock ASMR Let's Play
Posted 3 years agoOsiyo, Everyone!
I'm ecstatic to finally say that, as of the 11th of May, I've been Beta testing the game 'My Time at Sandrock,' and am now released of my NDA! What does that mean, specifically? Well, it means I can showcase this amazingly relaxing game, before it hits Early Access on Steam.
Being developed by Pathea Games, a Chinese indie game development company that also made 'My Time at Portia,' 'My Time at Sandrock' is somewhat of a prequel to My Time at Portia. It is a combination of a life sim, dating sim, farming sim, and open world exploration game sprinkled with some action-rpg elements. Set in Sandrock, an arid desert region of vast sandy dunes and deep reck rock canyons that gives off the feelings of the American West, you play as a newly licensed 'Builder' - a type of highly-skilled handyman - that has just moved to the area, in hopes of rebuilding the town to its once former glory. As a Builder, you will be tasked with building a wide variety of contraptions and tools for the locals, from a crane-lift to access the local ruins, to crafting a pickhammer as a test of your skills, to constructing an awning so the local general store owner can relax his favorite spot without getting sunburnt.
The game itself introduces new game mechanics such as water resource management, penalties for cutting down certain types of plants, and tougher, boss-level enemies during specific, environmental events such as sandstorms. Familiar events and elements, like the Festival of Memories and the ability to make friends with nearly everyone living in the town of Sandrock, return. There is also the possibility of new, future content, such as Multiplayer, having children with your Husband/Wife, additional minigames, customizable furnishings, and additional maybe a familiar face or two from Portia.
If you're interested in taking a peak at this new Pathea Games... game, or what to know what the sequel to My Time at Portia, then check out the My Time at Sandrock series I'm uploading, over on Youtube: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=P.....haPBJpL4lPBJEP ! I'm seeking to upload 1 episode, each work day, at 8 pm Eastern Standard time, with possible bonus episodes on the weekend. There will be no commentary on the videos, so no need to worry about my chattiness - just chill, relaxing music from the game's actual in-game soundtrack.
Until next time,
Krow Feather

Pathfinder Kingmaker: Why Casters are Bad at Puzzles
Posted 3 years agoHey everyone!
Been playing a lot of Pathfinder Kingmaker recently, and there's this one puzzle in Pathfinder Kingmaker every player dreads coming across. If you've played the game, you know the one. It presents itself in the game's Prelude. You cannot ignore it, else it will remain in your quest log forever, and you cannot go back to it later on in the game. Some say its rather easy, if you know how. Sadly, it seems only Wizards need Intelligence to get by in Galorian; everyone else uses their Charisma, the Dexterity of their fingers, or brute Strength. Many of us wish we could brute strength our way through this particular puzzle...
Imo, Charisma should not be the basis of a spellcaster class, unless it involves sex magic. Matter of fact, charisma, imo, can be one of the worst stats to build a character around in the middle of a dungeon. It's not a dump stat, but an Adventurer needs more intelligence than charisma; especially if, you're up against a rather annoying DMs, that likes your characters to think, and not act the prettyboi.
Don't believe me? Check out the video I just uploaded to my Youtube channel: https://youtu.be/oHUPmb58sfQ

Chronicles of Ashara - Brainstorm #001: The Oruqi
Posted 8 years agoThe Oruqi, whom are also known as "Orcs" in the common tongue of Low Malcoran, are often characterized as being nothing more than a species of savage barbarians, living in caves, and have such a low intelligence that they do not even begin to understand the concept of mathematics. This is, by and far, pure myth.
Physically, an Oruq in a robust, fit human-like being, whom stands anywhere between 170cm to 195cm in height, and can often weight upwards of 150kg. Their faces are slightly flat, with high forehead, and kinky black or brown hair. Their Their eyes are often a shade of gold, ruby, or emerald which often glows in dim light. their lower canine teeth (known simply as "tusks") tend to grow rather large, often protruding up and outwards from the mouth. As an Orug's tusks continue to grow through their lifetime, and they generally have no feeling in them, it is common practice for an Oruq to routinely file or clip their tusks, as not doing so is considered a sign of poor hygiene. An Oruq's skin tones generally fall into the range of greys and green-greys. There is often little to no variance between male and female Oruqi, save for a slight change of vocals, and it is often a source of cultural humor among the Oruqi that other races often mistake the two sexes when fully clothed.
For a baseline rule, an Oruq (singular) is highly intelligent, having undergone at least the equivalent of a High School/Secondary School education. They will most likely be trained in the use of a number of weapons, and have a general sense of military tactics and stratagem, as Oruqi society is highly militaristic. An Oruq is also very prideful, as their very station in Oruqi society is governed by their personal abilities and accomplishments. They do not suffer defeat easily, as they view it as a personal failing, as well as it leading to a loss of status and privilege within their society. Oruqi have a very strong concept of honor, and work well in a chain of command. Oruqi society does not rely on slavery, and many Oruqi would find the idea of even owning a slave or servant insulting. Oruqi clothing is usually utilitarian, while still being protective, often incorporating padded leathers, rings of maile, and quilted textiles in even the most mundane of attire. Because of this, Oruqi armor and weapon smiths are regarded as being some of the most skilled on Ashara, some claiming to rival the work of the Dwarves in functionality and resilience.

World of Warcraft Shout-Out!
Posted 8 years agoWhat's this?! Two journal entries in one day?! Am I feeling okay? Am I sick? Well... actually... yes, I am sick, but that's beside the point. :P
Seriously, this is unusual. I do not post journal entries one after another; rather, it may be months between each submission. However, this is something I wanted to put out there, but felt that it deserved its own post.
WARNING: This concerning the game "World of Warcraft." If you do not play WoW, or have no interested in it, I won't be offended if you turn your attention to something else.
Those of you who know me, know that I am a "hard-core" player of the MMORPG "World of Warcraft." I've been playing it on and off since it originally launched, leaving the game mid-way through the "Cataclysm" expansion due to being unable to afford it, and having "Recently" returned at the end of "Warlords of Dreanor" and the launch of "Legion." I was first introduced to WoW while working 3rd shift at Walmart, in the form of the original game trailer that was playing on their display televisions, and have been hooked ever since. I've spent countless hours exploring its world, creating characters, leveling them up, and collecting the odd, interesting, and the rare. While I do not know most of the lingo other players of World of Warcraft use, and do not play to the level of professionally sponsored players, I spend a good deal of my day running around Azeroth, The Outlands, and Dreanor.
I mainly play on two Oceanic Realms - Caelestrasz and Nagrand, though I myself live in the U.S. Both are high-level Realms, populated mainly by high-level "end-gamers'; the economy on those servers are not geared towards players that are just starting out, with items on the Auction House usually priced for players with a lot of coin to spend. Caelestrasz and Nagrand are great servers if you are just starting out, or if you are trying to level a new character, as you will hardly encounter another player outside of a primary settlement.
I am both a Horde, and an Alliance player. I originally started out as Horde, playing a Tauren Shaman (think a nature-minded, nomadic minotaur race, without connections to labyrinths). When the "Burning Crusades" expansion launched, I stayed Horde, but went with a Blood Elf Warlock, whom has been my "main" Horde character ever since. It wasn't until I returned to WoW, at the launch of the "Legion" expansion, that I finally settled with the Alliance - creating a Pandaren Mage and Human Hunter. You may have seen me in either the Alliance capital of Stormwind, or the Horde capital of Orgrimmar (or in any other place, for that matter); I'm the one that always "role-play" walks, instead of running like a headless chicken.
For the curious, I have 3 "main" characters; 2 are Alliance, and 1 is Horde. I have a number of other characters, but none that I play on a regular basis.
-My "true" main character is Rhoughth, a female Blood Elf Affliction Warlock, and member of the Horde. She is currently at WoW's level cap - Level 110 - and is outfitted with an artifact weapon, named "Ulthalesh" but I like to call "Useless." I had originally wanted her to be a "High" Elf, and a member of the Alliance. That didn't turn out the way I wanted. I now see her more as a type of ambassador from the Alliance, working with the Horde, rather than for it. Rhoughth is a character I'm most comfortable playing with, as I know enough to play her class well. Rhoughth is someone I play just to have fun in WoW, and to explore dungeons with.
-The 2nd "main" character I have is a male Pandaren Frost Mage, Kogau by name, whom sided with the Alliance. Kogau is currently at max-level, 110, with his own artifact weapon. He's more of a "self" character; someone I tend to play more seriously, than my other characters. I created him as the first character back when I returned to WoW, at the tail end of Warlords of Dreanor. It took me several tries to get his character down, before settling on who he is now.
-My 3rd "main" is a female Human Beast Master Hunter, whom I named Aedwynn. As with my other two mains, she is likewise at the game's level-cap, and has her own artifact weapon. Like with Kogau, my panda mage, Aedwynn is more of a "self" character, but one I regard a little less seriously than Kogau. I created her a few days after Legion launched, using my free level boost to dive right into the latest expansion, and have not really done anything with her, except run around, taming animals.
When player guilds are concerned, I am co-founder and guild-master of a Horde guild, called "Helping Hands." Helping Hands is a small guild, which primarily focuses on crafting skills, but also supports its members' attempts to add new pets, mounts, and item appearances to their collections. Currently, it has several vault banks, a number of guild-exclusive gear pieces, a guild-exclusive mount, and offers to cover the repair costs to its members' gear. The only drawback to Helping Hands, is that it is a very small guild, with only 2 active members (the other co-founder, and myself), and does not have an active team that regularly goes into dungeons or raids.
I'm looking to start an Alliance guild, but I seem unable to find enough players to sign its charter, and I cannot settle on a name or purpose for such a guild. >.<
So, with all this said and done, what is my point? My point is this:
Hello, everyone. My name is Carl, but you may know be as Kantorock. I am die-hard player of World of Warcraft; though, I consider myself a "noob" when it comes to the game. If you are likewise a WoW player, and would like some company or are looking for a Horde guild to join, send me a message; we can be noobs together.

Status of My Gallery.
Posted 8 years agoHello everyone! I just thought I'd just let everyone know what's going on with my gallery.
Firstly, I apologize for the lack of recent upload. I've kind of lost interest (for the time being) and building blocks in general. Because of this, I haven't really done anything interesting enough to show off. I've forgotten a lot concerning how MLCAD works, and relearning it would require a few weeks to dedicated study of my manuals. As I simply do not have the energy, or the attention span to read through a 200+ page technical manual, I don't see myself doing any Lego projects anytime in the near future. Sorry.
Unlike with my Lego projects, I have been doing a bit of writing. Mainly, I've been developing a few characters, researching several new personally created species, and building a number of settings. While still works in progress (and I think they always will be), I may upload a few of their W.I.P.s, providing I can scale them to an acceptable uploaded file size. (They are big files, with a lot of formatting.)
With all that said, I don't see myself uploading anything in the near future, unless it is w.i.p. .pdf's. I may return to creating Lego models, but not until I get out of this slump.
Again, I apologize for my lack of activity. It's just I simply don't have the energy to be as active as I once was.

A Question for My Followers
Posted 8 years agoI'm a big World of Warcraft player. I mean really big. It's about all I ever do, and is about all I can do. I'm on at all hours, whenever I can't sleep because of my migraines. I'm solely a PVE-er (Player-Verses-Environment), whom players both Horde and Alliance. I do not 'raid' or join 'PUGs' (Pick Up Groups) with other players, I do have a few maximum-level characters that I use to delve into and clear out lower-level dungeons.
So, in that light, I've got a question for all you people that follow me. Would you be interested in watching me play World of Warcraft? Either as as a live stream, or as a recorded play through?

Belated Safe Holidays, & General Update.
Posted 8 years agoWell, it's that time of year, and it has been a few months since I last make an entry into my Journal.
First off, I know this is a bit late, but I hope everyone had a merry and safe Christmas, and at least had a little fun. I know did. The ham was tender and moist, the coffee was rich and dark, and the look on my family's faces when they got that big-budget item was well worth the hit to my spare funds.
I've been well these past few months. Lost about twenty-pounds of weight, and I'm able to see the tips of my toes for the first time in decades. I'm finally taking my oral health seriously, and finally went to my local Aspen Dental office for an exam, cleaning, and tooth repair. I've gotten back into playing of World of Warcraft, with the launch of Legion (hit me up in-game, my battletag's " Kantorock#1810 "), and can't seem to get enough of it. Finally got around to cleaning my room, found what looked to be the remains of a putrefied rat, buried in the back of my closet, which would explain the sickly-sweet smell. Haven't been out much, due to my migraines; not that there's much to do in my area, besides eat-out, go to the theater, or go shopping at Walmart. Just learned I'm getting a dramatic increase in my SNAP benefits, possibly due to a medical bill I'm paying on, so more food for me :D.
Anyways, on to the main reason for this post. As per usual this time of year, I want to make sure I get the message of help out. For the uniformed, I had a close friend commit suicide-by-hanging, around Christmas, several years back. Sadly, I did not learn about her death until several months afterwards. While I can understand that some lives are fated to be cut short, suicide, assisted or otherwise, is not the right answer. If you are feeling depressed, physical and/or mentally drained, are in some sort of pain, are plagued by mental health issues and/or addiction, or generally don't think life is worth living any longer, please seek professional help. You are not alone, and there are a lot of people that will understand how you feel, and will help you deal with whatever problem has darkened your world. I should know. I suffer from moderate schizophrenia, chronic migraines, and severe mental depression, and I have professional therapists, doctors, and councilors that help me live through them. Remember: be it suicide, or driving under the influence (alcohol or drugs), just don't do it! Your pets will never understand why you left them.
Well, that's it for now. Have a safe and sane New Year.

Building A Better Gungyalado
Posted 9 years agoHello everyone. It's been a while since I last made a journal entry. I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite obsessions: Zoids. I just recently finished a blog entry on the Zoids Wiki describing, in part, what an 'upgraded' Gungyalado would be like. If you're a Zoider like myself, or are just curious, check it out for yourself, and see what you think.

Turning One Year Older
Posted 10 years agoWell, today (technically yesterday - it's after midnight as I write this) was my birthday.
It wasn't too bad, got a few touching gifts from Mom and little brother Chad. Dinner (lunch for me) was home-made lasagna (note to self: next time, do not triple up on the meat, if said meat is beef or sausage), and home-made garlic bread (sandwich bread + butter + garlic power = best garlic bread in existence). Desert was a Jello no-bake pumpkin pie, and a small batch of gingerbread cookies (cookies were slightly burnt, just as I like them :D ).
With that said, I still can't believe I'm one year shy of turning 30. What was I thinking in wanting to grow up? I guess hindsight is 20/20.

Uncle had a stroke.
Posted 10 years agoJust heard the news from Dad that one of my uncles, Harvey Moore, may have had a stroke. If you are religious, please pray for him.
Other Places You Can Find Me.
Posted 10 years agoGreetings everyone,
The recent drama over the buyout to IMVU has got me a bit concerned. While I plan to stick around Fur Affinity to see what becomes of the site, I do plan on focusing on my other galleries more.
With that said, you can find me on several other online art galleries. They are as follows...
Inkbunny = https://inkbunny.net/Kantorock : I now consider Inkbunny profile my "primary" online gallery. It has tons of features that FA does not have, and allows me a wider degree of functionality when it comes to the content I upload. Likewise, I have a number of characters on this site that I routinely role-play with. Though, be warned: Inkbunny does allow for cub related artwork and stories of an adult nature, though this can be blocked by adding their associated keywords to your block content.
DeviantART = http://kantorock.deviantart.com/ : I have been a member of DeviantART for almost as long as I have been online. While it is updated as regularly as my other galleries, it also has a number of submissions that I have taken down from my other galleries - mainly due to them being too old, or not conforming to the rules of an athropomorphic focused site.
FurAffinity = http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kantorock/ : I'm on FurAffinity, but I no longer consider it my primary gallery. It lacks the features of Inkbunny that I consider important. However, I do update it as regularly as my Inkbunny account.
Weasyl = https://www.weasyl.com/~kantorock : My most recent gallery. While Weasyl does not have the features of Inkbunny or DeviantART, I do update it as regularly as my primary account.
SoFurry = https://kantorock.sofurry.com/ : I am also on SoFurry. I have had a SoFurry account for as long as I can remember, but only recently6 have I begun to upload to it. I update it as regularly as my primary gallery. However, be warned: there is cub-related content on SoFurry, but that can be easily blocked by putting their associated keywords in you blocked content.
Tumblr = http://kantorock.tumblr.com/ : I have my own Tumblr! Instead of being a gallery, it is more of a blog for my two passions - Lego and Zoids. I try to upload my latest creations to it, but often times it lags behind my other galleries in terms of artwork. On the other hand, it is always on top of the latest Zoids information, and I often post to it about the status of my Zoids forum, Zoids: Battle Century.
Brickshelf = http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/g.....gi?m=Kantorock : It should be no surprise that I have a Brickshelf account. My gallery there is the first to be updated, with my latest Lego creations. However, the content I upload to Brickshelf is not the first to go public; the site's Staff goes through each file submitted to determine if the file's content meets the site's policies.
MOCpages = http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/116262 : My most recent gallery addition. MOCpages is entirely devoted to My Own Creation Lego sets - that means the sets are entirely fan-made. I have yet to upload anything to my MOC page, but keep an eye on it, as there is no telling what you may find there eventually.
Pixiv = http://pixiv.me/kantorock : You can also find me on Pixiv. Pixiv is a Japanese language site devoted to art. It offers a few upload options, particularly when grouping multiple files together and listing what you used to create them. However, be warned: users are allowed to upload underage - shotacon, lolicon, etcetera - sexual artwork, and as far as I know, cannot be blocked.

3D Lego Model Suggestions
Posted 11 years agoThis is very unlike me, but I thought I would reach out to my followers for suggestions.
I am indecisive about what Lego set to build next. As an individual that enjoys Lego's, what do you - my followers – want to see me build next? Is there a particular Lego set that you would like to see rendered as a digital model?
Please keep in mind that there are some building block sets that I will not do. A couple of examples of sets I will not do is the “6211-1 Imperial Star Destroyer” and the “7965-1 Millennium Falcon”; I simply lack the skills to get all the angles correct, or at least aesthetically passable.
Suggestions so far-

Character Update - Quicksilver Moongazer
Posted 11 years agoGreetings, everyone.
I know this is a strange thing to make a journal over, but I thought I would go ahead and do it, since FA does not have a notification system when it comes to a submission file being changed by a member you are watching.
Anyways, I thought I would let everyone know that I just updated the file of one of my submissions. That submission is a character charsheet for my chakat character, Shir Quicksilver Silverclaw Moongazer of House Bluepaw. I have done a major overhaul of hir physical appearance, mentality, and history. It took me about two full days of brainstorming, researching, and distilling of ideas before I actually brought all hir aspects together. There are some things about Quicksilver that need to be developed, but they are not really fitting for the intended purpose of the file.
You can find the updated file here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/101.....che=1393388138

Now on Tumblr.
Posted 11 years agoGreetings everyone,
I thought I would let everyone know that I can now be found on Tumblr. I've been debating on joining the site for some time, but only recently realized it may be a good idea to make an account there just to cover my bases if any of my main galleries go down. I'll be backing up my FA gallery on my Tumblr account in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for anything you may have missed here.
You can find my Tumblr account here:
Tumblr = http://kantorock.tumblr.com/
That's it for now.
Until next time.

Alternate gallery profiles.
Posted 11 years agoGreetings all,
Fur Affinity's recent outage has reinforced my opinion that it's a good idea to spread the results of my projects around. I listed all my alternate galleries on my profile page, but I felt it is best that I also make a journal entry to help bolster it.
With that said, here are the links to the various online galleries that I host my projects on:
-->DeviantArt: http://kantorock.deviantart.com/
-->Ink Bunny: https://inkbunny.net/Kantorock
-->Weasyl: https://www.weasyl.com/profile/kantorock
-->So Furry: http://kantorock.sofurry.com/
I can also be reached through my primary email at chakatquicksilver@gmail.com, or through my X-Box Live gamertag "The Scary Dude."

My Thanksgiving.
Posted 12 years agoIt's Thanksgiving here in the United States of America. That means it's time to gather with friend and family, and celebrate and give thanks for the blessings (and hardships) we've been through for the past year. I know Thanksgiving is a modern fabrication embroiled with controversy, but I find it is a good (if not valid) excuse to slow down, and reconnect with my family.
My Thanksgiving was a good one. I spent yesterday afternoon and most of today helping Mom and my younger brother baking pies and cooking dinner. Normally I hate cooking with Chad (he comes up with horrendous recipes with ingredients that should never be put together), but I find it enjoyable when it comes to holiday meals. Then again, Mom's participation also helps to dull the edge to his "experiments." I spent most of the afternoon in the living room, watching Mom play her latest game - Risen 2 - and helping her where I could. Dinner came, and I actually enjoyed myself for once. The turkey was cooked just right, the mashed potatoes were flavored perfectly, and the homemade pies were very enjoyable (especially the cherry-topped cheesecake.)
With that said, I hope this Thanksgiving finds you safe, happy, and in good company. Also, remember, if you're drinking alcohol this holiday, and are commuting from your residence, then please designate a sober driver, or call a cab to get you home. No need to risk a D.U.I or your life (and someone else's) just because you think you think you can handle yourself behind the wheel.
Happy Thanksgiving, and have a merry holiday.

Dad's surgery: part 2 - updated 002.
Posted 12 years agoI have a few updates that everyone may be interested in hearing about.
First off, Dad is home from the hospital. He was released at Noon on Sunday, and arrived home at 1:30 p.m. He is doing well despite being heavily medicated. His right thigh is itching like no tomorrow, and it hurts for him to move around, but that is to be expected considering what he has been through. Right now, he is eating dinner and watching the recorded television shows.
I would have made an earlier entry about my Dad's return home if not for one thing. An extremely powerful storm system ripped through my area Sunday, ranging from the Great Lakes on down to the southern parts of Kentucky, and as far west as Missouri. This storm system birthed numerous tornadoes, and caused major devastation throughout the tri-state. One such tornado ripped through Washington, the town in which I live, at 2:30 p.m., knocking out power citywide, ripping up trees, damaging and/or destroying several homes, businesses and wireless towers, and taking our local country music radio station - The Bullet. Though the city mobilized its crews as quickly as the storm hit, power to my section of town was not restored until 10:30 p.m Sunday. Wireless services such as cellphones, radio, and internet were not fully restored until last night. Considering how close my house is to the path the tornado took, it would be an understatement to say my family dodged a bullet.
You can find the news article about the tornado on my town's newspaper's webpage, located here: here.
Talk about a way to celebrate being released from the hospital...
