Posted 13 years agoWell, first of all: Hi! sorry for dissapear for a long time, but my new job is making my mind going dry.I arrive everyday after work hours with some ideas to draw but I'm out of energy to do it. So, a month had passed since I started to work full time having less time for commissions and drawing for myself but I guess is a period of adaptation. In that time I learned to balance those stuffs in order to don't drive mad. Last weeks were working 8 hours and arriving home to work more for a couple of hours in some personal projects =S.

Posted 13 years agoWhile I was on college, one of our design proffesor told us "the composition of a visual piece should be effective and subtle". This is something I always have on mind, even when I'm drawing, but not often I apply. What do you think about it? Personally I like furry fandom when it can be sexy and leave most of of the work to thw viewer's imagination.

Posted 13 years agoHi, I just want to share some words of wisdom from some things I had learned about drawing in the past months and I hope it works for those who want to improve his/her art:
1) Most important at all: TAKE YOUR TIME. Sketching is the first step for a great work, sketch is useful to discover that awesome idea you have. Sometimes drawing is like doing a sculpture, the piece is there, you just need to find it out and NEVER STOP WORKING.
2) Define your idea and look for examples. Is the easiest way to step out from those art block and also you can learn a lot by looking for examples.
3) Think in 3D: Overlaping parts and object helps to gave the sensation of deep space and helps a lot. Also you should use different lines thicknesses to give the sensation of near and far.
4) Read, watch, listen what you love. Your art is the way you express all that you think is great. The more you know about something, the best it gets when you want to draw, paint, compose, etc.
