General | Posted 19 years agoHey, sorry for not posting much lately. I have about ten sketches waiting because I refuse to bitch them up with the pens I have now. I'll be getting a pen that I can actually properly ink with before long, and those'll be up shortly after. I know I ought to.. you know.. learn to work well without all the tools, but I'd really rather not ruin these anything I'm proud enough of to take to the inking stage with a combination of my lack of skill and lack of tools.

General | Posted 19 years agoI'm sitting here listening to a song done by E Nomine, and I decided to write a journal. Nothing in particular, so It's mostly gonna just be the stuff on my mind lately. First off, it seems everyone's posting a journal about the cub-yiff, so I might as well say something. I think it's wrong, and I won't draw it myself. What someone else draws and looks at is between him and God, I think. However, when someone starts to cause someone else harm, it's no longer something to sit by and allow. I respect those leaving for their conviction and willingness to act rather than simply bitch.
Anyway, I'm back in Tennessee and loving it. I met a lot of great furs at FF, and bought an incredible print from Bushycat. That was probably the one most fun gathering of people I've ever been to. I'll probably be at Anthrocon next year, but not entirely sure on that just yet.
I've returned to the field at Amtgard, and I've found a fire that I haven't had since I started. I can't wait to feel the shaft of my polearm in my hand again and go up against a few like-minded furs.
Hrm.. It seems I've run out of things to throw out. Till next time!

Recipts and Roadtrips.
General | Posted 19 years agoAfter FurFright, I'm going home, finally. I can't wait. It'll be a 16 hour drive from CT to TN, and the first thing I wanna do is spar, but I'll have to wait till saturday for that. I'll be getting back on a monday, a day after the last gameday of the week there. I'm gonna be sooo out of practice.
Also, I've got a bunch of pictures dumped into Scraps, mostly because they're in sketchy ballpoint pen, and most of them are done on used recipts from work. I think they turned out well, they're just sketchy and are done on yellow paper, so I thought I'd keep all of them but my favorite off of the main page.

R: Soji
2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race?
R: White anthro rat
3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?
R: Propbably something to the effect of "Mrrr" and snuggle back up against whatever it is he's sleeping next to, and go back to sleep.
4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
R: Deep blue kimono, lightweight black hakama, tabi, geta, black haori with emeraldy green embroidery on the inside.. And of course my juzu and chain necklace.
5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
R:Probably eyes. Or the earring(s), depending on which set is in.
6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
R: Yep.
7. How is your character similar to you?
R: He's an anthro representation of me. In other words, Exactly, except for.. you know.. Fur, muzzle, sheath, all that.
8. How is he/she different?
R: See above. Plus I only have one piercing. Soji occasionally wears others that I may or may not eventually get.
9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
R: Probably so. Course, he'd be capable of squeaking and all that, which I for some reason can't do.
10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
R: Squeal in glee. Then find my friends and hope like hell they got the same treatment.
11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?
R: Hrm.. Not really. Some people don't like me, but that's really thier problem, not mine.
12. What advantages does your character have over you?
R: Tail, muzzle, fur...
Sooo much more hot XD Otherwise he's the same as me. Physically as well as mentally.

R: The only one I can see is potential altercations between the car door and his tail.
14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?
R: Heh, not really. I doubt theres anything I know about MYSELF that someone else doesnt know. I have friends I really trust.

R: Kinda. No secret ones, but there are plenty noone's seen yet.
16. Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?
R: Always had the idea of a comic bouncing around in my head, but every time I try to start on one, the quality goes downhill quickly after the 1st page.
17. What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?
R: Erm... None that I know of.
18. If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?
R: Erm. Appearance, maybe? that might be pushing it, since it's really the only difference, though. His tail, maybe.
19. Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same relationship with your character as you with the real-life person?
R: Yep. Most of my characters are, actually.

R: One. I looked at it a day later with a fresh mind and threw it away. I can do mucks, but I'm no writer.

R:Not really. Soji's always been a rat. I used to represent myself with a raccoon named Jin, though.

General | Posted 19 years agoTaking requests, but not commissions just yet. I don't have steady access to a scanner, and no mailing address just yet, so comissions will com later. Right now, though, I'm open to about any request. Just send me an email or reply to this journal and let me know what you want to see. General | Posted 19 years agoI finally got access to a scanner, and lost my mate. In the long run, turns out that's not a bad trade. It sucked at the time, but all is warm and fuzzy now. Plus I finally broke down and got an earring and some colored pencils, things I've planned on for a while but never had enough interest to go through with. You can judge for yourself whether the pencils were worthwhile, but I like the earring. People are not QUITE as suprised when I tell them I'm gay now. I've yet to meet anyone who came close to guessing yet, though.

General | Posted 19 years agoRrf. I've been really quiet for a while.. I haven't had a scanner. I might be getting one tomorrow, and if I can get my paws on it, i'll definitely start uploading again. Living in CT now and loving it. Good job, good scenery and an awesome mate.

General | Posted 20 years agoRegistered and found that this place is incredible. Hopefully i'll be able to get help with the tail project and upload some art when I make it home. I'm in Connecticut with a tiger friend to do some sword work and I leave for home tomorrow. And Reanimator is an awesome song. Yay for Zarla.
