Turning 18!
Posted 15 years agoIn four days, I finally UP THERE! I can look at porn (even thought I've been drawing it for five years)! As a present to myself I'm going to get it poppin' for the first time at Club Purgatory (I think that's how that's spelled), a club apart of 106.1 KISS FM. I only pray that I go and come in one piece!

Sucess, Pomp, and Circumstance
Posted 15 years agoOnce again I apologise for the long absence. Working without internet at home is impossible! I hope y'all are doing fine.
I wen't to the State Solo and Ensemble Contest again and brought home Gold (and that was without lessons!). Being the only Black (out of 170) who went, I played Hunter's Moon by Gilbert Vinter.
On June 6, 2010, I have served my time when i marched across that stage at the UNT Coliseum to get by dimploma from Coppell High School. I have been thrown under the bus, blood, sweat, tears, headaches, etc. to get to that prideful moment. I only wished I had asked them to announce my middle name along with the rest of it (whish is Vinston). My relatives gave me a nice seventy dollars and some cards as a grad gift.
What next? Well, I'mma go to North Lake Community College for a year and depending on well I do there, I can go anywhere (if you can make it at Coppell, you can make it anywhere!). I'm aming at the university of Texas in Austin. Theye have Grand music, engineering, and arts programs.
In artistic news, I have a couople of new characters from the UK, Italy, United States, and for the first time, Latin America.
That's all for now, until then, I'll be watching...

Flash Drive Lost
Posted 15 years agoYesterday I had lost my flash drive at school. I don't know if I had left it in a computer or threw it away accidentally. That $10.00 HP 4G has three years of my art career on it! I don't want to start over and if I did, it wouldn't be the same. My Economics teacher had sent an email to the entire staff to see if they had found it - no luck. But there is still Monday to see if it's been retreived!
Texas Stadium No More!
Posted 15 years agoThis morning, the legendary Texas Stadium was imploded at 6:30 this morning. A lot of memories were in there (and I have a couple in there too). Now we have the Palace, Jerry Jones' pride and joy, Cowboys Stadium!
A couple of times I was in there for few playoff games. I performed with Kelly Clarkson at halftime, and even attended the last game over there! I liked the nickname she was given, 'God's Window' (if any of you are familiar with D.D. Lewis, you know what I mean!).
I'm gonna miss that thing!

Spring Break Week
Posted 15 years agoSolo Contest
Posted 15 years agoYesterday, I went to the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble Contest over at school. Folks from several other schools also attend the contest that we host. For me, that's the best time of the entire program, next to marching. We get to work with these college music educators on how to become better musicians.
On my solo, it was great until I missed the high Eb and E (Bb and B, if you can read F horn). It ws rather humerous really! I should consider myself lucky the judge forgave me for that, and that was MEMORISED! I got a 1C - meaning I'm certified for State, again.

Happy Valantines Day!
Posted 15 years agoThis is of the very few holidays in which it's all about you and your mate. So take turns eating that $30 box of chocolate, snuggle with that sweetheart, pop in some R&B.

New Characters
Posted 15 years agoLadies and Gentlemen, please welcome the latest members of my crew, Kyle and Chris!
The first of the duo, Kyle, is a Scottish bengal tiger, born on the River Clyde, which is the birthplace of the legendary Cunarder, Queen Elizabeth 2! His build is a short yet muscular one, being 5'8 and weighing in at 165lbs. Kyle's eyes could best be described as one of the purest sapphires ever to be occupied by a living being! At his current age of 24, Kyle still lives in Scotland. I got inspiration from of Lykos Bane's characters.
Across the pond is the second of the duo, a 25 year old northern otter named Chris, who's lived in Manhattan all his life and knows all the tricks of the Big Apple. He has more trunk than legs, yet he's 6'1.

Posted 15 years agoTeam Possible Recession
Posted 15 years agoHey y'all.
First, I apologise for the absence. First I didn't have internet for the holidays so I couldn't do anything.
Second, I've been having depression lately. It looks like everybody's got somebody, except me. And what makes it worse, the person I DO have a crush on is already seeing someone. That's gonna stick to me for a while. But, I sat down and thought about all the people who do love me (including the people on here) and how devestated they'd feel if I had let this drama tear me down.
I just miss my friend
joncrescent.
Third, a fellow F hornist in band invited me to a masquerade ball (Creating Change Confrence) in Dallas. The door opens at 8.00 PM and closes at 12.00 AM, so it will be a long night!

Thanksgiving Week
Posted 16 years agoI'm just staying at home this week with the exceoption of another game on Saturday. I feel like getting on a plane and flying.
Hey Guys!
Posted 16 years agoHow are y'all?
Today I get to go to the new Cowboys Stadium for a playoff game (with the band). I'm gonna take photos of her because I have an engineering edge and I find beauty in design. And since the stadium is new, I get to go shopping, if it wasn't for me being broke.
As for art, obviously I haven't been as artistically active as I used to. My work is improving and I need to take it to the next level. I NEED PHOTOSHOP, BAD!!!

Relaxing
Posted 16 years agoI just came from San Antonio from the Bands of America Superregional Contest today. Yesterday, we performed our show for the last time at 10:45 AM! Despite how early it was, we woke up and made a I Division (Superior).
Sadly, we did not make Finals, but it's okay. The 'flash and trash' of BOA i'snt really our style. We're known for our music, and I think that's most important. My band director gave us a good speech about how winning is something you feel inside, not outside, not only applying to marching band, but also in life. Despite not winning, I still one of the best musicians in the world.
Right now I'm just resting from a five hour trip onboard a crowded charter bus. Until then, I'll be watching you...
