I was shocked when I saw the news at the top of the site that Dragoneer had passed away. I didn't know him personally, but he's the reason I've been on Fur Affinity for 15 years. Like all of us, he's had his faults. But that doesn't change the fact that he made the FA the number one destination for the furry fandom. He will be deeply missed <3

I spent the day going around town, getting a new tire and out to Buc-ee's for brisket sandwiches and beaver nuggets. I know my mom is watching me chow down on that good food XP

I hope today was a festive and cozy one for y'all. I spent the day chilling with family, drawing and watching TV. It's also been a different one this year because of the recent passing of my mom 8 days prior. It felt empty without her, but I know she was there in spirit. Keep your loved ones close and enjoy their company!

I just got news that my mom just passed away. One minute we were watching TV and the next she wasn't breathing. They told us they were unsuccessful in getting her heart beating again and she was gone.

She was a great person in my life and will be forever irreplaceable. I love you mom♥

I never thought I'd sink this low. First we lose a storage room, then my laptop and now our residence. We've been at an extended stay hotel since 2020 and rates have gone up recently. I'm still applying to jobs on Indeed.com but efforts have been elusive. Either I can't get to the place (the car needs engine work) or they're radio silent. It's been five years since I got my Bachelor's degree and eight since my last job. I've been a caregiver for my mom for 10 years now.

Does anybody know any solutions or is able to donate? I'm tired.

In the previous post, I wasn't able to expand on commission info because of an extremely low battery. I'm saving up to get my laptop out of the pawn shop and thus can only do hand drawn sketches at this time.

That's right, I will become a grey muzzle tomorrow! Like many, my 20s were quite a ride. And while I wish some things were better, I also remember others things I had better than most. I learned a lot in the past 10 years and look forward to the next 10!

Last Wednesday at 29, I finally passed my road test and became a legal driver! After 14 years and three attempts, I was was glad to tick that off my list. This means I can go work, travel and UWU at furcons! And I can do all of that in a much better environment with superior cars and roads than when I started learning how to drive at 16. I also want to say thanks to you guys for keeping me motivated.

What bright point in a dark year! Thanks to the huge turn out among people of color, especially black folks, America has once again been saved from itself.

Truth is that it should have never been that close. It does tell you where we are as a country. I hope nobody forgets about those who flocked to President-Just-Got-Fired and his crew. They did some serious shit to this country that will take some time to undo.

It made me so happy to see people across the country come out in droves to show the world why we slay. Even if their state didn't flip blue, people on the right side of history did their part. While Texas did not flip blue (yet), Tarrant County did! Fort Worth is the seat, 35 miles west of Dallas. Don't write us off, we're getting there! That goes for the south and other red states too. Stacy Abrams has been our QUEEN!

It was a bittersweet victory for me personally as one of my aunts passed away the previous morning. Turns out I wasn't the only one who was emotional during Biden's victory ceremony.

Nonetheless, I'm relieved to see people say that the enemy can't kill us. Not now, not ever. Believe in democracy! 💪🏾🇺🇸🌈🖤

Man, what a year since my last post. It's that day again! I turned 28 today (7/20)! It's the first I've had while the world has largely shut down. I'm thankful that I still get to celebrate mine as a growing number of people won't be able to.

A years-long goal of mine has been getting a video game console. I've never had one of those, but they're hella fun. The timing couldn't be better because new hardware is around the corner.

Ten years ago, I joined FurAffinity and it changed my life. I learned a lot, fapped a lot even cried some on here. It's gotten me through good times and bad. It's fitting that I joined on Juneteenth during Pride Month, which makes this really special. Who says you can't be bouf?

I meant to do a journal on 7/20, but didn't feel up to it. But here I am, a quarter of a century old, which I am happy about^^ The only negative was having to pawn my TV for extra money, but it's just a TV.

I first saw the headline on my phone then turned the TV on and I was appalled by what happened in the land of Disney World. I never thought I'd see so many people shot in a nightclub on US soil.. But I also saw superb leadership, heroism and selflessness - things that make our community so bitchin'! Something really needs to be done about these guns. It's just out of control!

My folks felt the need to lecture me about how not everyone is gay or don't like us. Cause, y'know, I'm not gay or anything... Apparently they made the assumption that we go after everyone we see, as if ANYBODY wanted to touch that creep! Not even his wife wanted to be around his ass. They don't realize how condescending some of the stuff they say is. Basically it became an unneeded shouting match.

I'm well aware that straight people have the whole planet to themselves. What they need to realize is that not everyone is straight! I don't expect everyone to like me. I consider that a good thing. I can concentrate my energies on people who are worth a damn.

The fact that this happened at a popular club for black and Latinx queers also hits close to home. It happened in the same state as the shooting of Trayvon Martin. Both incidents involved people of color, who were doing nothing to anyone except minding their own business when some wacko decides to kill without reason. As a queer man of color, it's another thing I have to endure on a regular.

Though it will take time, Orlando, the vibrant town of theme parks, will rise from this. I've always wanted to visit the place myself. And to those who are content with us living in fear, know that you ain't helping nobody. Yeah, we will continue to part hard. We will flaunt as much as we want. We will kiss as many baes as we desire and gladly give the middle finger to anyone who thinks that we should be in some closet, literally or figuratively.

I still want to visit Orlando one day, which with time grows even more stronger and attractive than ever.
