What to know from a Confused Dragon
Posted 2 weeks agoHey everyone! I never expected to reach the watcher count I've had on FA. It has made me flustered! And reminded me of a topic I feel you should know when it comes to consistency in this moss corner...
If you have watched me for awhile, you have probably seen how easy I bounce around with sonas, kins, whatever.
I'm dragon kin, have been a long while, but I've always struggled about what the "perfect form" to represent myself would be. I've been through many concepts, and some I still hold dear, such as Leviticus and recently Arkose.
Still, something always feels missing, or that another idea that comes along feels like a better way to portray myself. I dunno, my brain overcomplicates things. Don't be surprised to see a wave of some new designs or concepts. My brain is drugged off dragon disorder.
I still have a lot to grow in my art process, so maybe it's all leading to just the perfect derg! I'm sorry to those who fell in love with a certain design and now rarely see it, I try to give all my favorites some love with art from time to time :')
TLDR: Nerd complaining about being a huge nerd. Dragons are cool, still finding a good permanent mascot. Stay silly

Between here, Bluesky and Insta, I have loved launching my art to the public under JavaMoss_Bones and getting the amazing opportunity to interact with so many types of people!
As a big thank you, I want to make a better effort of communicating with our lovely lil Moss community more! Here's some of my ideas I've been planning to incorporate:
1. Drawing more illustrations with multiple characters
2. Normalize rendering in my art more often, such as shading and texturing
3. Improving illustrated backgrounds... Still pretty new to this!
4. More spice, PLEASE! Another reminder this is an 18+ account only!
I've also been workshopping the idea of sharing mini stories I've been writing that showcase Arkose and his adventures. This narrative is written through a diary sort of style, and the stories themselves can easily be read in one sitting. It would make me so happy to share more of my derg self with you all, and push more content for you wonderful supporters!

Posted 3 months agoWow. Of course in the middle of Art Fight, my laptop completely killed itself! Thing won’t turn on longer than five minutes before giving me the blue screen of death, blahhhhhh…….
I transferred all my art files and images to a flash drive so thankfully everything is safe! The major downside is this will interfere with producing art for the near future.
I like drawing, damn that computer! I’ll be messing with it or replace it if I have to (it’s old for a laptop anyways). Art from me will come again before you know it— not letting this take me out!
I just ask for your patience during this process. Art may be slow for a bit, but the dragon/gryph is still around! I’ll keep you all updated best I can 💚💜

New Year, New Gryph!
Posted 10 months agoHello everyone! At long last… the 2024 holiday season has took its course, leaving us with the promise of 2025.
This year was a lot, as I’m sure it was for many people.
One of the biggest highlights of my year was losing my job and being scammed nearly beyond repair. My psychosis was having a hay day for months on end, and seizures grew so common it was difficult holding odd end jobs.
My mate has came down with long term disability, so I became a caretaker this year as well. It was difficult, a lot of overwhelming news, but slowly enough we’re finding new ways to adapt and grow everyday.
My goal this upcoming year is to continue self improvement. Continuing my college coursework, preparing for postsecondary education, and finding myself back in the therapy career I enjoy so.
If there’s anything I learned this year, it’s to have grace for yourself. When life events keep pelting you down with event after event, it’s easy to forget to pause and breath. You may not be able to control how you feel, but you can control what you’re going to do next.
This community itself was a saving grace while I was going through this year. This year was also the same where I pushed myself to open up and share art with all of you! I have met so many wonderful people and critters along the way, and I’m eager to see what 2025 has in store.
No matter how your 2024 treated you, I’m glad you’re still here.

Thank you ALL for 60 watches! It's been a year now since I made a Fur Affinity account, and since then I've met so many amazing people and critters along the way

This site and community really encouraged me to push myself when my mindset tried so hard to limit myself. I used to stick to drawing nothing but headshots, Full bodies and backgrounds were IMMEDIATELY out of the question. A year back I was also in a strange mindset that I HAD to stick to the same fursona in fear of seeming indecisive or "not official" (whatever that meant). I didn't really allow myself to experiment with different styles or interests. I thought consistency was key.
But then people like you came along. So many of you left amazing notes and shouts on my page. With your support, you pushed me to break out of my comfortability zone. You guys expanded my mind and inspired me with swarms of new ideas. When I had a drawing idea, I'd push myself to ACTUALLY do something about it instead of letting it disappear into nothing but a thought. I finally began building a small following of people I could share my ideas and art with! Even though not every drawing made it past the rough sketch, I began drawing more and more everyday. More than I have than within the last few years, that's for sure!
With your support, I gained more experience into the vast world of art. Along the way, I met so many other kind souls and artists I can learn so much from. Thank you all for such a warm welcome into the community, and I'm so pleased I can bring a little more dragons, gryphons, and dinos into your life!

Ever since I began nearly a year ago, I went through a lot of passing fursonas and ideas. Beyond that, I gained so much more than I’d ever expect from this site. I met so many amazing people and critters from all over the world, and I reignited my passion for art.
There was a long period in my life where I felt so stunted in my skill, drawing what was safe and easy. Since I began this journey as JavaMoss_Bones, I was able to break! With each piece I’ve posted, I felt the longing to do more. I always want to strive to find new ideas and scenes that push my limit and give all of you a piece worth looking at. I couldn’t have done it if it wasn’t from the push and motivation you all have given me.
Thank you again for your support, and I’ll look forward to continue engaging with you and posting more art!

I wasn’t able to hold another job because of my daily seizures taking place at work.
When I was returning my badge, the receptionist rudely jabbed
“Wow— quit on us before the school year started huh?” (I was planning on contract work as a paraprofessional before resignation)
Ignorance can be so vile. The bottling stress and abhorrent words I felt within me at the moment all wanted to unleash on him then and there.
I find it difficult to navigate the world with an invisible disability. Every time I struggle to hold a place of work, it’s places like here that keep the charisma pumping.
In short, expect to see some YCH bases begin popping up. Gonna try to keep things afloat while figuring this mess out.
⚠️TLDR; Lost job to health again, broke artist alert. Stay tuned if you’re on the market for dragon YCHs!⚠️

I intend to make a series of journal/diary entries in my perspective as Zeal. You can expect brief, nonsensical and lighthearted content. I've always pictured scribbling nonsense and rambling in scrolls, so.. expect that!
P.S. I'm intending on releasing entries in both a text-based and audio format! I've been wanting to tap into voice acting skills for SOOO long, it's going to be a fun project overall!

Firstly... thanks for 20 watches! As I'm finding grounding in this community, it makes my heart full to see there's people taking time out of their day to look at this small artist's work.
This leads up to my main point... More commission types will be available soon! I'm going to work on opening writing commissions today, and soon I'm going to make voice acting an option as well. I have over 7+ years experience in fantasy and NSFW stories. Once writing becomes open, I'll start posting more stories so you can get a better idea of my style. Same with VA, all in time.
Activity on here is going to skyrocket, that much is certain! Because it's this or being put on disability; I'd rather live a happy life working away on something I love.
I'll post more updates as everything gets figured out and whatnot. Thanks for reading!

Time for the sappy part: to put it simply, this community saved me. Despite being in the fandom for over a decade, most of the time I was too busy stressing out over life and who I was.
However, since I decided to actively participate in the fandom as of December 2023, I metamorphosed. I was able to learn so much about this great place and myself with the help of many amazing friends, whether scaly, furry, or human with good taste!
So, thank you. Now that you guys helped me, it’s my turn to return the favor. While I don’t plan on being a gryphon messiah of sorts, I will draw up a nice piece of art for you!
