Ok seriously i didn't think i needed to make a journal and announce this but... seeing just how people reacted to my last picture i posted i thought id just get this out there. Like jeebus... ok so... basically i guess people by this point in time only expect me to do only certain kinds of things as far as artwork and my characters go. which is fine to think because i haven't done the best job in explaining myself and my interests here.

So back in january i asked the public what types of commissions i should consider taking. unfortunately I didnt really get a whole lot of feedback so i pretty much needed to just figure it out for myself. which is pretty dumb now because now people are complaining that i didn't specify well enough what im willing/not willing to do.

Eh whatever so anyway long story short, im going to try and branch out just a tiny bit more than usual so don't be too surprised if you start seeing Male stuff, or other odd things. That doesn't mean ill being doing gross extreme stuff though. im not one of "those" artists heheheh.... ugh....

I know people do them a lot and most are pretty successful, but i've seen a lot of people complain when the prices get ridiculously high. So i was thinking if i did them i could do some flat rate ones where id make a pose, and sell them at about 30% off the price of a normal full color commission. just wanted to know if people would be interested or maybe you'd rather i just stick to normal coms etc. hell note me if you're interested im open now :)

Try this nifty little filter I just heard about today called furraffinity filter. jeezus where has this been my whole life! Its the tagging filter system this damn site has needed for the longest time and also it can group multiple submissions from a single person as well as other little things. Who knows how long this thing has been around but damn im glad i found it and now im letting you all know too.

*disclamer* it works for the most part but its not perfect. Some images might sneak through here ant there due to idiots trying to be cleaver with their picture titles and them not stating the content but it will slim down the chances of you running into them a lot more. It depends on how specific your tags are.
it also helps if each word is its own filter rather than just put a bunch on one line.

I always wanted to know the best times of the day to post content, seems like when i post too early or too late in my time i miss when the site is at its highest traffic, so when are you guys online in your timezones? o.o

If you have had me added for awhile you all know Im almost always set to invisible. But why you ask. Well actually the biggest reason is because I like to lurk on there. Sometimes I just wanna see whos online and pick and choose who to talk to without being over run by several other people at once. Its really kind of distracting to me, But I'm in no way blaming anyone for it.

Its perfectly fine if you wanna talk to me on there (in fact i encourage it), after all that's the whole point. Its more my own fault, other times I'm just not quite in the mood to talk about anything or a conversation starts and I have no questions.
I've never really been that big on small talk, you know the way a conversation usually starts, the how are you's and whats up's. I'll even admit I'm more of the introvert/antisocial type. I'm a lot more vocal and social on here than I am in reality so theirs that. I dunno my life's really not that interesting so usually I never wanna talk about it. I'm either at home, at work, or at rare times at a friends house. There thats my life day in and day out lol.
But anyways its always more exciting to talk about other things besides myself whether it be someone else or characters and what not which is why i really encourage you have a question or something about anything. I really don't wanna sound rude and i'm not going to flip out if you don't do that but just keep that in mind.

Sometimes I do appear online but in most cases at least as of recently its not quite my fault. Hotmail.com and my two smart tablets like to sign me in and set me to online without me knowing about it. So sometimes what happens is you'll be messaging me right when I didn't even mean to be online and then I have to look like an asshole and say I have to go or something because I was busy doing something else.
Anyways I've started to notice I'm annoying people with me being so elusive so I'd like to know if I've ever made you feel bad or if I was ignoring you because I swear that It's not my intention.
So Ill try to use Skype the way its intended to from now on.

Alright so hopefully that clears things up and I apologize for everything.

This will be a somewhat controversial topic I wanna talk about with you guys and that is the rise of Patreon, at least in the art community. Ooo boy I know Ive seen people go completely insane when someone even mentions that word now. Because it seems like its abused to no end.

For those who don't know what patreon is, its basically kinda like a paysite. You pay whatever amount of cash the artist asks for to view extra content made by him/her each month. You're supporting the artist. How this whole idea works is, drawing,animating,making content in general etc takes time and sometimes its hard to keep making said content when life gets in the way, things like work or school. Its hard to have the energy to keep making content when you're tired from work but you have to work to pay rent and work/school takes up a lot of time. So I think you see where this is going. So anyways people turn to patreon to basically get supported so they can crank out more content for you to enjoy. Sounds great on paper right? Quit your crappy job to make a living at home doing what you love.

It might not be that black and white but thats basically what it is. Now a lot of people hate this idea because of a number of reasons, like laziness (the quit your job just to get paid for sitting at home at their expense) or people not following through on making the products they promised, the worry of uncertainty of the fickle fan base, and then you just have people who are blind and just hate anything where an artist makes money.

Now when I first heard about patreon I didn't mind it so much up until I saw journal after journal about it and then it kinda got on my nerves. WHAT!!! I have to PAY just to see more art?? That some bullshit. Im sure that what everyone thinks of still today. I wasn't entirely wrong for having this mindset because first of all kickstarter which is a similar practice is notorious for having projects people fully fund that never see the light of day, remember phil fish taking the cash for fez 2 and running off with the cash and then spitting on the fans who supported him?

Oh boy thats a whole different can of worms you can Google but I'm getting off track. But anyway people would do similar things on patreon as well with poor content as well and just in general ive seen artists completely change how they ran things. I'm not going to mention names but artists who used to draw awesome art of characters i loved just hardly posted anything on their "free" accounts on art sites like FA or DA. All you would see is censored pictures or previews for patreon and their gallery would just be swamped with them. it just ruins a perfectly good gallery with a bunch of red tap plastered everywhere like videogames with micro-transactions. What was done for fun was turned into a business and it would make anyone who didn't feel like paying to see what they already enjoyed just feel left out. I don't mean just left out in the sense of you didn't pay so you don't get to see (that makes sense) but in the sense you actually do get left behind in its entirety and the artist left you for dead kind of way.

So if thats how I felt back then... why do I feel different about it now? Simple, It can be done right and I've seen artists who can balance out how they make their content available. Its... tricky, I think it depends on what you feel has value in the content provided. Believe it or not i sort of recommend commissioners give it a shot BUT ONLY if they have these things

*You need a following of some kind first. You need fans, you can't expect people to wanna support you if no one knows who you are. If you don't have people already around communicating with you, chances are you're not making a dime and then the inevitable depression journals start getting cranked out about how no one wants to support you. So you've been warned.

*Second find your niche. What are you good at? What kind of people do you wanna appeal to? What will you offer to people willing to pay you this amount $ or this amount $$ or even this amount $$$.

(should you post content from your patreon to your free sites? Thats up to you, but to me I feel like it loses the whole point of a person paying to see "exclusive" stuff so... Its up to you)

*You need to balance out your free normal work with patreon exclusive content because you don't wanna leave your fans out in the cold with nothing to look at. If you wanna reel in more people then you need to have stuff on display. This does not mean constantly posting ads 24/7 either, its ok to do it once in a while or make some journals but don't do what I've seen others do and just ONLY post ads for patreon. Its annoying and its a huge turn off for potential costumers.

*Do not expect everyone to be a customer, You gotta face facts, lots of people just don't wanna pay to enjoy content, and thats OK! Why? Because as long as you have eyes on your content chances are they my tell friends and maybe they will stop by and visit your page, every person counts so making everyone happy is important. Hey find your own ways to do things as well.
Oh before I forget, DO NOT GO IN THINKING THIS IS AN EASY WAY TO QUIT YOUR JOB, infact id still recommend at least a part time job should things not work out. You'll still have some reliable income at least on top of whatever you make on patreon.

Now if you're a consumer. Don't be mad at someone because they wanna make some cash on the side. I think as an artist we all have our dreams of being paid for our work and lets not ignore our terrible economy. Every cent counts. It wouldn't be fair to expect an artist to use his/her time to only draw what you want for free. Oh my god I've met people who get angry at the idea of premium content for all the wrong reasons. Well at the end of the day its up to you and who you wish to put your eyes on. If you feel like an artist is going too far with all the ads? Give a "friendly" nudge and say , tone it down just a bit.


Now... will I do patreon myself? Will I have all of you bow down to my awesomeness of badassery?
eh.... no. At least not right now. I don't like handouts myself, I prefer to just be paid directly for content being made specifically for you. I feel to you that would hold more value plus I don't feel my work really is good enough to be subscribed to. I like comments and questions about my stuff almost as much as money believe it or not.

Now i would LOVE to hear your thoughts about it as either a current user of it, a potential user, or just your thoughts in general.

Excuse the stupid title. I just wanna finally say I have a gaming capable computer now which means ill be more active on steam. Anyway Whats up guys? I'm just letting everyone know right off the bat Cash/paypal commissions will soon be available once again FINALLY! I didn't tell anyone but I got a new job finally as well and its pretty damn easy.
Anyway the biggest reason why these are opening is because I need a new PC bad. I'm trying to save around 500-600$ for a decent desktop. Im hoping to have enough soon before my laptop kicks the bucket real soon here. lucky me I only work a few days of the week so ill have lots of free time to draw more.

So my plans for this year is to hopefully start animating. I was supposed to last year...but i didn't so... yea. Whether it would be small looping gifs or actual flash ill definitely be doing something with them.

Anyway my questions for you guys is mostly about pricing,availability, and options. Answer as much as you can as it will really give me a good idea of what to go for.



*So for starters, for say a solo full colored picture what kind of price would be fair? How about for multiple characters? Should there be options for sketches and such?
* what are your thoughts on Bidding/Your Character Here auctions? Should there be a reasonable "buy it now" price?
*what kind of gender pairings should I focus on F/F F/M H/F etc...
*lastly for potential customers, would you be willing to buy animated work? Would someone be willing to pay a little more than a normal picture for an animation?


When these open in the next week or so I think Ill do the slot method so I don't get too overwhelmed. Im new to paypal and stuff and I would have had it done already but I'm kind of an idiot and I'm not sure how everything works yet so if anyone wants to help me understand it that would be great.

I don't know if anyone's noticed but I don't seem to post or draw as much as I did in my earlier years on here. I feel like my drive is slowly starting to diminish. I have so many great ideas and stuff I wanna show all of you but I feel like my artistic skill just isn't there. Its like my shading doesn't fit right and my anatomy skills are just dreadful at times. Its painful trying to accept commissions from people because I hate screwing up people characters. I just can't bring them to life like other artists can. If i don't have a solid idea before I start the picture it ends up looking bad in comparison to more thought out works. I usually hold off till I have an idea but sometimes one never comes and before I know it literally months go by and now I look incompetent. I think... I need to just hold off on doing things for other people and just focus on my own things for now.
I need to really develop my own style especially since to this very day I'm still getting comments saying my characters look too much like sonic and crap. I really hate hearing that after I spent the last 2 or more years trying to pull the designs away from that series. Every time I look at them I never see what the heck people are talking about when they say that. Some people say its the hair, others its the eyes or the muzzle. They aren't supposed to be hyper realistic furries, they are supposed to be simple but detailed if that makes any sense so they can be drawn easier by myself and others.
Im not depressed or anything I just seemed to realized this and thought I should share my thoughts with those who care. Ill try to finish what I owe and cancel and refund stuff I'm not very far on so I can get to my creative zen and rebuild my artistic capabilities once more.

Seriously what can I do for you fine people. What is it from me you'd like to see more of? characters? boobs? Asses? what? tutorials maybe hmm? Please I need a direction to head in if im going to improve. Anything that needs improving please let me know, critique me so i may learn from my mistakes and work to provide better content for you all to enjoy.

I can't seem to get images to load properly anymore. It seems to have started shortly after the newest update which was a day or two ago. Ive cleared the cache like twice, Ive restarted firefox without add ons, did malware tests, CCleaner. Does anyone know how to solve this issue, its super annoying when browsing gallery's.

Its the holiday season and all i can think about is hanging out with my friends and such so im not always home and when i am im trying to relax or sleep. Forgive me if i show up like on skype for example and disappear in a short time, sometimes i also forget im logged in and im not even at the computer.

Drawing is coming along slow because im trying to improve my anatomy so i can draw better in general.

sorry for the inactivity lately... aside from the weather here randomly being bad, ive been playing black ops 2 and its sooooooooo intoxicating :D oh my gosh its the best COD to date. ok i know what alot of you shooter fans are saying *DURRRR its just another reskined cod game with nothing new* or *its not call of duty anymore* or something like that. its not at all the case. the added new things that puts the recycled garbage known as MW3 to shame in every aspect. branching storyline which has never been done before in Cod PLUS you can choose your load out before you start missions and unlock other goodies for other missions. so that gives story a lot of replay value. strike forces is even more fun and epic. a zombies mode with new games types and buildibles and its hard as hell. and the multiplayer is the most balanced yet... and yes sniping actually works. if your playing halo 4 and you feel you aren't missing out on anything, your soooo wrong XD but hey to each his own. at some point you really should give this game a try.

this doesn't mean ive stopped drawing completely. i have been working ofn trades and commissions as well as new references that will have LOTS of detail. these will be hopefully the final references ill ever need for my non sonic based characters. ill be doing my best to explain everything there is to kow about each one, so if you have a favorite character of mine feel free to suggest him or her so it may be done sooner.

i might...... open point commissions soon towards getting a new membership. although i have a few months left, it couldn't hurt to top off. just keep in mind im not really a good sonic artist but eh we'll see.

Hey any tumblr users here? i seem to be having to most frustrating problem ever! i can't get in contact with user Actuallygreg aka  saltcore. ive been sending him messages for over a month now but it seems the site has an issue with not having messages of any kind go through. ive sent fan mail, ask mes, and did a reblog. ok.... ive given inkbunny a full week so far and heres my thoughts....... i like it...

i.... like it? i never thought id be saying this but i do. but...... theres are some complaints as well as good things.

its no surprise inkbunny is smaller than any other site that allows mature furry stuffs. becouse of this its surprisingly harder to get noticed there. it feels like the more popular artists who migrated from here completely dominate the site more than they do here or on DA. seriously every time i log on i see half the new submissions on the front page by the same 7 or 8 artists everyday... why? hopefully more people will go there and stay here as well.
submitting things sorta feels like a chore. it feels as slow as molasses becouse you have to "upload" every picture..... i know that sounds like it makes no sense but idk it feels like it uploads longer than any other site, then when its up theres not one but 3 seperate places to type in keywords. its annoying becouse if you don't wanna waste time being super specifc about what your picture contains, then you have to check "not applicable" and it doesn't let you leave the keywords blank either.

but now to the positives. so far the people there are quite friendly, it seems like i get at least 3 watchers a picture so thats not bad, its more than id get in 2009.
OMFG i love how they let you know when they are going to do maintenance. theres even a little timer and everything. its not like here were the site goes down for no reason every other week with little to no warning (and oh god thats no exaggeration).

i also heard theres a way to move all of your gallery from here to there but i don't know how to do it.
