General | Posted 13 years agoWhat is a Largon?
A Largon is a hybrid of a Dragon and a Llama.
A Largons body/size and structure will depend on it's parents.
Int, is currently the only Largon in existence.
Her traits and structure are closer to that of a Dragons over the Lama's. But she does still carry
some of the key features of a Llama. Such as the ears, the nose and all of that thick fur.
Largons are Cold blooded, yet covered in a body of thick fur. (Llama heritage.)
They prefer cold climates and temperates.
Seeing a Largon on a hot summers day, wont be a pretty site.
Odds are, you'll see it in a pool of cool water, or in front of about 10 fans. (One will do, if others can't be obtained.)
One of the largons most defining features is the skull and facial structure.
Largons follow suit with Dragons in terms of having a thick plated skull.
Int, has a large and tough skull and exo skel. Her 2 main fangs, are located on the outside.
Inside her maw, is another set of teeth. One main row, and between the rows, a smaller set.
They're the tears and the grinders. (Tears used for meat consumption, and grinders for fruit and veg.)
If a Largons Dragon parent is capable of conjuring or exhaling flames, then so is the child. It's a trait and gift carried over.
The colour of the flame however, depends entirely on the Largon. Largons don't choose their fires colour. It's like an Aura.
Largons don't hunt in packs. Nor do they roam in them. They're solitary for most of the time, until they find a mate worthy
of their time, respect and attention.
This doesn't meant they don't seek out friendhsips or companions. It just means they have no interest in forming pack bonds.
A Largons diet contains meat, veg and fruit. (Int in particular prefers ref meat, water melons, red apples and tuna steaks.)
Regarding Ints Tail Maw aka Mouth tail.
Largons are necessarily born with these. Int is, simply because I like the idea of them, and find them entertaining. But mouth-maws are
not part of the solid breeding traits.
Mouth-Maws belong to their actual creator. (I have no idea who that is. But all credit goes to that individual.)
Are Largons your Species?
Yes. I joined FA with the intent of having a unique and interesting fursona. And Int, the Largon was the outcome of that.
I've had a look around, and asked others to as well. And we've not come across any others.
So it's safe to say, the Largon is a creation of my own.
Are Largons a closed Species?
No. Not at all. Anyone can make one. : )
All I ask if that you give credit where it's due. : )
Can Largons be modified?
As in have wings? Yes of course!
Have extra body bits and stuff? Sure!
Int herself has 2 tongues. No wings. But plenty of other unique features. As the creator of your character you can
make your Largon any way you want to!
Just.. Don't make it bright pink or Yellow. Or both.. It's your choice but... Those 2 colours... Really wouldn't suit the species. And will melt my eyes.
