I accept both OCs and Canon Characters, though I feel more confident drawing Canons if I'm familiar with the fandom (usually the older Disney films, Don Bluth, random cartoons).

Hospital emergency 🚨
General | Posted 2 years agoA few days ago I had a choking incident , still had difficulty breathing and ended up calling an ambulance. I spent 6+hrs in the ED , got a chest xray, blood tests and the rest. Heart rate was 130, oxygen 97. The sore throat I've had for a week was getting worse.
There was a marker of a potential blood clot in my lungs, so I was moved to a ward and started a course of 3 antibiotics and blood thinners. Yesterday my potassium was very low, I chose to take tablets instead of an IV , my levels got too high- but today they're in the normal range.
My throat is essentially back to normal now, but I'm still coughing up a bit and still need the vacuum/suction unit. Which is why I'm still here until Monday possibly: I can't clear my lungs/throat without the vacuum.
I'm sharing a room with another patient who's incredibly rude; they don't want the light on even when the nurses are, y'know, taking my blood sample.
Beginning with the ambo- the nurses, doctors and paramedics have all been fucking amazing people. My doctor in the ED was so interested in my history and condition, and asked a lot of questions that helped solve a few problems.
I'm thankfully not on oxygen; I only have bronchitis, not pneumonia, and I'm getting stronger. I can't use a hospital bed so I'm day 3 of living in my (brand new!!) wheelchair. I only got my chair delivered and the speed/acceleration/turning profiles adjusted 1.5 weeks ago.
Hoping I continue improving: when I do get home, I'm not doing any art for probably a week. I don't feel right going straight back into art.
