Hey guys! Sorry things have been so quiet and dusty here lately. I could go on and on about all the real life issues that've been cropping up over the past couple months but.. eh, I won't bore you with the details. Cryptozoo - 3 char scene - PAID lining

I really just wanted to post something to get that depressing journal off my front page. To update, my grandfather is doing much, much better! He's had an uphill struggle trying to quit smoking and drinking at the same time, but he was allowed to go home about a week ago and has been pretty well since then- which is AWESOME. We never found kitty, which is so sad.. despite not being a very old cat, he'd developed some pretty serious kidney issues and even with our best efforts, we knew he was living on borrowed time. It's just not knowing what really happened to him that makes it so horrible. He was such a loving and social little guy, I hate to think of him lost and hungry, but I think he just knew it was his time.

But I'm happy to report that things have really started to wind down and get back to normal, which means I'll be able to start working on commissions, and art in general, regularly again- which I'm super stoked over! Creating really brings me so much joy, I've missed it these past few months :) So expect more Tequine designs and commission openings soon! But how are you guys? Everybody on summer break and hittin the beaches? (haha I wish) It's been CRAZY hot in Florida the last couple of weeks!

Well guys.. I really wish I had better news. Just when things seemed like they were starting to look up, life got really shitty again. This month has been so rough.. within the span of a week, I had an uncle pass away, my grandfather taken to the ICU and put into a chemically induced coma, and my beloved kitty went missing. That sounds like a line from an awful romantic comedy, so I'm crossing my fingers that a good looking guy with an ace personality walks into my life any minute now and saves me from all this heartache. I have a very close family (the type where we're always seeing each other or checking in), so this much loss has been overwhelming to all of us. I've been trying to spend as much time as I can with my grandmother, since she's alone for the time being.. and my grandfather's prognosis isn't good at this point. I'm normally a pretty upbeat person, but all this terrible news has me so drained. It's all I can do to come home from work and try to sketch here and there, rather than just curling up in bed and feeling miserable. I'm going to do my best to work through this, but.. it's just really hard right now. Thank you to everyone who's stuck with me through this. I know most of you are just here for the art, but for those of you who have actually cared to get to know me, I really appreciate your continued support. I just figure after all this bad, there HAS to be something good coming up, right? *sigh*

One hospital trip and a buttload of meds later, I'm finally starting to feel better! I've never been this sick before, it's been an absolute nightmare. Thank you so much to all of you who have left me comments or notes with well wishes- it's helped to cheer me up so much while I've been so miserable! I was really hoping I just had a 24hr bug or food poisoning, but it looks like I've come down with the flu. It's certainly making the rounds this year. I have raging headaches and feel nauseous to the point that I have trouble eating much, plus I'm running a fever. Hopefully it won't hang around for long, but I wanted to give a heads up that I won't be around much this next week. Gonna try to take it easy and get some rest. I don't typically share much of my personal life online, but since some changes are around the corner that might impact my work flow, I think that's journal worthy! I currently work one day job and will be taking on another part time in the next month- add my freelance work and commissions to the mix.. well, let's just say I don't usually get much down time! I'm going to do my best to keep working at a steady pace and get commissions finished in the timeliest manner possible, but I do ask that you bear with me while I work through the awkward phase of adjusting to my new schedule.

Hey guys! I know I haven't been very active lately so I just wanted to put out a quick update- particularly for those waiting on work from me. I've had a super gnarly cold (like headaches, coughing, mega sniffles, the works) for the last week and a half that I'm just now starting to get over. Gross! Buuuut just in time to help out and participate in one of my best friend's wedding this week. Woo! Buuuuut I'm also covering extra shifts at work. Boo! This basically means that I'm in that weird zone after being away from the tablet for a period of time that my hands/mind are all 'wat is draw?'. I've always been very prompt at delivering work in the past, so hopefully I can fall back on that temporarily while I recover. I'll be working on some warm up pieces in the mean time to get ready to get back to work asap though, and I'll be posting again soon!

Long story short: sick + extra shifts at work + wedding times = not much of an opportunity to draw, but work will come soon! Thanks to everyone for your patience ♥

Sooo it seems that I'm not the only one who's been having some serious problems connecting to FA, let alone trying to submit or post something. This has made it really tough on my end to access reference pics and return notes, so I'm afraid things around my account might be slow going till the problem is resolved. To make matters worse, hurricane season has been pushing some gnarly storms through my area almost daily, and a lightning strike right by my house fried my router (among other things), and since Bright House has gotten it back up and running my connection has been SUPAH spotty.

Check it out, so I've been asked a few times now if I offer colored sketches and I figure.. why not! I don't have any examples, but they'll basically be full body, full color with lineart that's not quite as tight as my normal work- that's what usually takes me the longest. These are for single characters and simple poses, unless you have a particular idea in mind. These are $45, slightly more for complex characters (paypal only) and payment must be sent within 24 hours. If you're interested, comment or note me!

I've also been thinking of trying out sketch pages with some headshots, expressions, different poses.. what do you guys think? Let me knoooooow!

First off, congrats to everyone on surviving the apocalypse. I know times seemed bleak for a bit there, and those zombies + meteors were fiercely relentless, but we made it!!

That being said, I want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season :D I hope everyone will be with the ones they love most as Christmas rolls in, and not watching the clock at work like I will be. I'll be working New Year's Eve as well, because I'm just lucky like that, but you gotta make the best of it :) Anyone doing anything cool to celebrate? Any New Years resolutions you don't intend to really keep? I whole heartedly hope I can be more active on here and post more consistently, but we'll see what 2013 brings. It literally seems like every time I think I can start planning how to manage my work time, another big project order rolls in XD I'm not complaining in the least, cause that dolla make me holla, but that means I have to drastically reorganize my schedule for the next month and put certain things on hold for now. I'll be getting home from working AWA late tomorrow, and to try to up my work efficiency as much as possible to get everything finished on time (most things are due end of this month, early next month) I probably won't be on here much at all. SO SAD because I really wanted to participate in the Halloween arts, but it looks like it won't be in the cards this year.
