As of tomorrow I'm leaving my current home to go see my family, then traveling a few states over(900 miles) to my new home. I likely won't be around until closer to the end of this month.

Just wanted to drop a sort of mini update regarding those waiting on my queue, first of all I appreciate your patience, as some of you may know from following me on twitter I've been dealing with some pretty upsetting health problems because of a medication that poisoned me, and severe depression on top. Fortunately I'm working through them as well as starting 3 new medications this week to help with the pain and other side effects. Outside of that I've been taking a ton of supplements to get me through the day and that in itself has helped me to feel somewhat alive and creative again.

At this moment I'm easing myself back into work with quick turn around experimental commissions through twitter and I'm feeling pretty great about them so I look forward to getting back on top of things and wiping out my queue once and for all, it would be wonderful to get that weight off of my shoulders so I can move forward.

Sorry for being a bit slower on getting out WIPs atm, have quite a bit going on IRL including a new roommate and getting ready to go on a short vacation out of town starting tomorrow. As for why I'm a mess right now, in case you missed my twitter update, I recently visited my grandmother to say goodbye, she has lung cancer that spread to her brain, and we're not expecting her to make it to the weekend. I don't want to go into anymore details, just mentally taking a hit because of it and want to get away from work until I can come to terms with what's happening.

I've heard some chit chat about folks not being happy with the fact I'm uploading my work to Patreon now instead of immediately on other platforms for free like I used to. I've been thinking about this relaunch for about a year, I didn't do it because I'm greedy, or just to jump back on the bandwagon. I did it because I am scraping by with commission work and it's honestly draining, I don't want to depend on commissions entirely and I simply can't. Patreon gives me the ability to work on more personal projects and put the fun back in creating for me. Please don't take it the wrong way and if you're really concerned please know:

-All artwork from my Patreon gets released to the public eventually
-I will not be taking commissions exclusively on Patreon, I will still open here, on twitter, AND offer YCHs
-Commissions will be uploaded immediately and not on my Patreon since I'm sure the commissioner would like to show them off right away

The comments being made about me legitimately made me feel guilty, but I'm just trying to make a better living for myself, especially since I haven't even recovered from paying my nearly 4g in taxes plus medical bills. If Patreon doesn't work out, that's fine, I will always make ends meet, even if it means I have to step away from art and get a 9-5 job.

No one is obligated to pay for my work, but no one is entitled to it for free either. Just know that I do care about every one of my supporters whether they can afford my Patreon or not, which is why I will always put the work here and on twitter at some point in time, and I will still be as active as I've always been.

It's been about a month since I took those sketch pages (the only work in my queue) and I know that it usually doesn't take me that long to complete commissions, but unfortunately I had a downward spiral with both my health and my financials. Taxes completely wiped out my bank account, and I believe that the man I hired to do my taxes for me inserted the wrong information and many of the exemptions I qualify for somehow got left out and I don't have the funds to have someone else look over them for me. I was also hit with a $1,600 medical bill from an ER visit and shortly after, had to go to the ER again (still waiting on that bill). I had a nasty kidney infection that just went undetected for a while despite me telling them about the pain very specifically in my kidney area, resulting in two visits instead of just one. I have no money left for these bills (hopefully I'm eligible for the free care they told me about and my bills will be excused), and I'm in debt to my partner who helped me when shit hit the fan. I'm sort of in a hole right now and because of it I began to panic, stress myself out, and it affected how I would usually work. I knew I had to work, I knew what I had to do, I would lay out the reference sheets in front of me, open my canvas, draw for hours and everything would come out stiff, I began to stress even more. I spent 2 weeks just re-teaching myself the basics, looking at anatomy books, tried figure exercises, etc.. Nothing worked. I kept re-trying the same commission over and over until I broke down last week. Decided to take Thursday-Sunday off completely and just.. have some me time despite knowing how much trouble I'm in right now. It was either stress out and panic more, or try to relax, give myself some space, don't force myself to draw when I know I am incapable.

It seems to have worked, I'm feeling a bit better, still stressed but that comes with being completely broke and in debt I suppose. I expect that I'm actually going to be moving forward and making real progress this week, keep an eye on the trello if you want to see how I'm doing and don't be afraid to note me here or DM me on twitter if you're worried. Commissioners are always a priority.

I have started a side job!

I am no longer just freelancing at this time, I picked up a full time job in the kitchen of a local breakfast/lunch cafe. I work just about every day of the week/weekend from 8am to 4pm, I do NOT get breaks or time to check my phone!

I will be working on commissions/art from 5pm to 9pm on days where I'm not loaded with house work or don't have to run errands.
