I thought I wasn't going to MCFC. There are yearly Campground Business Meetings that my company has to attend. They apparently fall before and after MCFC! So I guess I need a room and a ride...

There really is no way. I won't have my phone on me or anything. I am fursuiting across the street from the Hilton in my fursuit so I will be in fursuit most of the time at the Hyatt without my phone.

I have two spaces available in my hotel room for Midwest Furfest this year. I am at the Hilton. It is right across the street from the Hyatt. If you are a fursuiter, it is pretty easy to just walk right across the street and be right there with all of them other crazy folk.

I am a pretty relaxed dog as far as room rules. Yes, this is a drinking party room with crazy hours; a crazy fursuiting party room....too bad I'm not in the main hotel this year...kinda sucks but its still better than nothing...

Something I Have Realized

I have been to my fair share of furry conventions, but I seem to spend a lot of downtime at them. This happens especially at the larger American ones. I have realized that time should be spent more productively just sneaking around the convention grounds and making things happen instead of waiting for things to happen. If you think that a convention is boring, make something happen! Create a scene! Make people notice you! Don't sit around and be sad and mopy! This is something that I tend to do. I don't know why; I'm a fursuiter. Most of the people go to furry conventions for the fuzzy creatures who walk around at them. Engaging with people more and really pushing to stay in fursuit more is something I have to work on.

Something New!

I am currently at home working for my parents. They have an office and warehouses on their estate. My dad came up to me a few days ago and told me that he doesn't want me putting Febreeze on my fursuit any more. I asked him if he has a better solution. He told me that the company has an all-natural bacterial enzyme product that eats away at the leading cause of the odour instead of masking it; that is what all of our products do. That is what they are engineered to do. This product works on carpets and lots of furry things, leaving it clean and not smelling like a horrible chemical. It is also natural, non-hazardous and environmentally friendly; it will not do anything to your skin. My plan is to try it on my fursuit first. He has this grand idea of me going to furry conventions with a bunch of it, setting up a booth and having the company pay me to be there.

17. Everyone has considered leaving FA once or twice. Have you? Why?

Well, I have been unemployed for a few months. After losing my job back in early January, I have been clamoring month to month and taking whatever I can to get by. Every single time my parents call me and ask me how its going, I can't lie. I tell them that things are shitty and I'm struggling. I always tell them that I'm working this job or that job. They always cringe when I tell them what I'm doing. I reply with "a job is a job". My parents are self-employed. They run a very successful company that produces and distributes bacterial products that digest waste in holding tanks for RVs and septic tanks. Their products are all over campgrounds in North America. They always have repeat customers every year. Their products are in all the KOAs all over this continent. They have distributors all over the continent. Needless to say, they're doing very well for themselves. I was working for them ever since I was 10. I became their Vice President of Sales, traveling around the USA and Canada. Then I decided to move to Toronto to attend university. I then moved back to Toronto. Anyway, I wasn't working for them anymore. Well, they now have a program on their server where I can do my job from Toronto! They're going to give me one of those Magic Jack things, a cordless phone and an answering machine as well as the program for all their customers. Basically, I'm going to be working from my apartment for them, taking care of all their past customers, domestic, commercial and industrial from the comfort of home. Also, training new distributors and going to home shows; so, traveling too on business making about 30-40,000 a year. I'm pretty excited about this. I'm going back to their estate for three weeks to work on all this with them. Its going to be good times.

I moved here to Toronto two years ago. Why did I do that? I did that to be closer to the furry community. Two years ago, I had a great clique of friends. Everything was awesome. We hung out a lot. We had a lot of meets. We fursuited a lot. Things were awesome. Two years later and I find myself sitting around a lot. All of those friends are doing a lot of things and not including me at all. I feel like a complete loser. I feel like nobody likes me. Yes, I have a lot of social anxiety. I get anxious around people. There are a lot of times when I say nothing. I get depressed easily. People are full of energy and I'm not. So what? I still love and respect you all a lot. Recently, there has been a lot of things going on within the Toronto furry community that my friends are doing and I haven't been invited to participate or even come to hang out with any of them. On top of that, after being here on my own, I have accumulated an extreme amount of debt and am STILL having employment problems despite the fact that I am employed. I feel like people just don't give two shits about communication.

I don't know. I thought that people liked me. That's why I moved to Toronto. To be closer to you people. I guess I will move back to Eastern Ontario, I don't know.

My favorite fursuiter...I fawned over this fursuiter a bit...it was a good thing I was in fursuit because I teared up at how beautiful the fursuit was...

The name this fursuiter registered as was Rim. I looked Rim up on FA and, well...I got dirty stuff, OK? Hahaha....

This fursuit was beautiful! Rim is a multicolored bird and spoke no English, only Japanese. That's why I couldn't get his FA account. Also, his handler spoke no English, only Japanese. OMG they were so cute together! The handler kept bowing! The fursuiter kept bowing! Hahaha! *squeaks*

So, Anthrocon this year was awesome! I didn't fursuit as much as I wanted to BUT I drank as much as I thought I would hahaha...

Anthrocon this year went a lot more smoothly than last year. Last year, there was some drama...that is in the past...I didn't have a lot of money to throw around due to some financial issues..

I REALLY want to thank Snapback, Silvermoon and Vulpes. Thank you for rooming in the suite with me. It went REALLY SMOOTH! Most relaxing and fun Anthrocon EVER!

Also, I want to personally thank Clumzy. This fur REALLY made my Anthrocon. When I needed someone to drink with, he was there. When I needed someone to hang out with, he was there...when I needed someone to walk around with and cause chaos, he was there....Clumzy! Dude! I seriously cannot thank you enough. We need to room for Anthrocon 2014!

So, I started my new job yesterday. I told them my situation. They are going to allow me the time off. Just as long as I don't take any time off for the next six months hahaha

I just landed a job working at Technovate Technologies Inc. This is a dream job for me. This company is located in downtown Toronto. They are hiring me on to do research writing. They are also hiring me on to do professional writing; this means that I can finally use my B.A in Professional Writing. Basically, what Technovate Technologies Inc. does is international marketing. They take jargons of text that foreign companies give them. Technovate then translates them. Where I come in is I turn those jargons of texts into fluid paragraphs and make them marketable. I then do research to see which companies across North America would use their product; furthermore, I do some research into investors and perform lead generation duties.

This is an important job because they want to pay me between 15-20 dollars/hour and give me full health and dental.

Yes, I do realize that I booked a suite with some people. My first task of course will ask them if I am able to take the time off and tell them that I DID have a previous engagement. I DO hope that they are alright with this. If not, then I will NOT be able to make it down to Anthrocon this year. To the people that I am sharing a suite with, I will gladly call up the Westin, explain to them the situation and ask them if I can have the name changed to another person. The main name will be changed over to Silvermoon. She is officially my second in command for the suite because she paid me already and would naturally have been running the suite with me.

So....

Cheap Thrills, the same place that I did some mascot work for in the past, decided to call me today. There is this thing going on here. A huge event here in downtown Toronto. They want me to bounce around in fursuit all weekend and pay me a pretty decent amount for doing it! Also, on top of paying me, they are giving me a very good store credit! I will be fursuiting 6 hours this weekend, handing out fliers and getting hugs and getting pictures of me!

Attention fursuit makers! and myself went to buy foam for fursuit heads at this really awesome place called Bartons.
