I actually do not know if I'm attending this year.

I would like to open these as pre-orders, but the situation in Florida is such that it may be deleterious to my wellbeing to attend, as a trans person. I know I have missed the valuable window of getting a room, as well, so at this point, I haven't actually made firm travel plans.

I'm asking those who are aware, or live in the state, or are going how you feel right now. The current state of the "Anti drag" laws are such that myself- or much more likely, my wife- could be jailed for "performing drag" on the street, simply for wearing our normal clothing. I know that this nonsense is going to diminish attendance greatly, on top of it being simply dangerous for me to walk across the street. Does anyone think it is even worth it to try?

On one hand, the issues above, on the other, us hiding away is what they want.

This exact issue is why "think of the kids" is so dangerous, and why watching purity police invade the furry scene on the level of policy-making is a real issue with so many of us. It is a reasonable idea on the outside that is leveraged into people calling anyone they hate a groomer or pedophile so they can be litigated into not existing. I'm not sure how to maintain professional neutrality in this situation and not "get political" when they have brought politics into my work life, and not of the normal sort where people debate about unions.

Sometimes I'll get a notification that someone watched me or favorited a pic. I go to check their page to thank them or whatnot, only to find that they have no favorites in their gallery or no watched people.

What's this about? Are they trying to give a compliment, but want to keep their page uncluttered? It isn't mega common, but happens enough that I cock my head a bit in confusion.

It's not offensive, just confusing. I hope someone can shed some light on it for me.

I'm back on my game, yesterday was the first day I had where I even got to work a few hours, but now I'm back on my shit.

This year was a rollercoaster, but it was a massively good one!

I'm super blessed to have met all the new folks I did, and to have a space where I can just be myself. I made so many new friends this year, and got to see lots of old ones!

I do not often engage with politics on my art posting accounts. I do have to speak on this one. I will not be posting about it further, nor engaging in debate.

Every mass shooting is an avoidable travesty. Hearing about the shooting in Nashville, in my own home state, has ripped me up inside. I feel so bad for those kids, and I feel so bad for what their deaths have set in motion.

It has come out that the shooter was possibly trans, and the media has run with it. Were it a cis white man, we would be hearing the "Oh, mental healthcare is so important, how tragic, he had such potential uwu" rhetoric in order to avoid talking about real issues. However, instead, we are getting rhetoric painting trans people as a volatile population prone to terrorism in order to justify both political and physical motions to harm us. Frankly, I do not feel safe to return to the state. With the death-grip right wing media has on the place, it could go very bad very fast for me to simply exist.

I will say this in no uncertain terms:

I am a trans man.
If you feel that trans people are pedophiles, rapists, degenerates and murderers, then you are free to block me.

If you feel that I should be judged for the actions of a person I didn't know existed until the news broke, then you are free to block me.

I will not be debating with you. My life isn't yours to debate. It isn't an opinion or stance.

I am not up for debate.
