I met Dragoneer exactly once, a gender and a decade ago.

He is- was, it's was now- a controversial figure. Doesn't matter. Shouldn't have died like this. No one should.

I've had my legs cut out from under me with my health of late. I'm still pissing blood. Had another x-ray a few days ago.

But I'm not scared because what I've learned is that I am not alone. My family and the community have carried me. My clients have been patient and kind. All I had to do is ask for help. It's such a hard lesson, it hurts worse than any physical pain, but I'm learning it.

I wish he'd asked for help before it was too late. I wish someone had put out a message on the news bulletin system on FA. I wish he had been carried like I have been, because I think the community would have carried him, as steep as the prices were. Furries are generous to a fucking fault.

I'm sad and angry at the system that made basic needs unaffordable and then told everyone it's shameful to ask for help getting them.

I'm sorry, both to his family and friends, and to the young people currently being radicalized by this. I'm sorry it's like this. I'm sorry you have to see this. This is a stark and painful lesson with more nuance than can be explored on and FA journal.

Burn the lesson into your memory: community is the only way to change this, and community is the only way to survive in the future.

Hi everyone, while I've been plugging away at my commissions, several things have occurred at poor times.

In short succession my wife took ill, family needed help moving from a bad situation and then on the way to help family, I realized that I, too, was becoming ill. I had to delay getting care until Sunday evening, as I was hours from home and this specific task was not one that could be rescheduled. Abandoning a family member, especially one that asks so little, was and is not an option.Thankfully, what I have is not transmissable, so I did what I could to minimize the impact and grit my teeth.

Unfortunately, it's corporate consensus in the area that bacteria take Sunday evenings and holidays off, so no one will need antibiotics during those times. While my wife was able to find a store open for a few hours on Monday, I'm still much sicker than I would have been had I been able to get prompter treatment, especially with my somewhat compromised immune system.


Thank you to my commissioners for being patient and understanding. I'll be back at it again, soon enough, and with more ardor than ever.

I am losing my mind trying to find a good stand for an XP-pen Artist Pro 15.6. Every option that goes at an angle over like 65 degrees requires you to screw them in, and that isn't possible with my model (no bracket holes). The other options are all either for stuff like ipads (My model is thicc, it'll murder anything made for an ipad)

Does anyone have a suggestion?

RN I'm using a repurposed desk easel that I've frankensteined to be stable via stealing parts of other easels and adding literal river stones to the back end for ballast. Again, tablet thicc. It works, but I can't adjust the height to my liking. Something with a locking arm like a monitor stand would be aces, but again... I cannot find anything built with a clamp that locks and is sturdy enough to handle my fatass tablet. It's a goldilocks situation, there isn't anything just right. Even the super expensive ones (like $300) won't suit my purposes, because there is simply no manner in which to attach them.

I've recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. My health has been very bad of late, and it's put me slightly behind schedule.

As of now, I'm still going to be able to honor my current queue and FWA preorders, though I feel some measure of frustration that I'm not where I would like to be. That frustration doesn't bear to dwell on, and the energy is more useful being put into positive pursuits and adaptations.

In regards to my health, the only thing that's changed is acknowledging a condition that's been suspected for years, and beginning treatment thereof. It's an obnoxious prognosis, but my life will improve as treatment begins.

Just you wait, you guys thought I was a chatty little gremlin, I'm about to be hell on wheels when I have a full battery for the first time in my life.

I've been having some massive health issues lately, which would explain why I'm so slow to upload/ am uploading older art currently.

Folks have been exceedingly kind to me lately. I don't know what I did to deserve it, but I've had multiple instances of furries just treating me really well of late.

Hell, of people in general treating me really well. Even the lady at the freaking DMV was super nice to me and didn't hassle me about my gender marker not matching my appearance.

I'm just really happy. I hacked my 3ds today. I spent most of the day cleaning my office. I have an office. I've been treated with such grace and given so much.

I dunno. I'm gonna go get some sleep. I love y'all. Really.

I posted my journal needing help last night, and woke up with money to look decent for the funeral I'm going to go to.

I'm not going to mention individuals for their privacy, but genuinely, I'm going to end up crying over some pants, y'all.

Sometimes I get frustrated with the community, but I can't think of any other group of people who are so kind. Like, yeah, this wasn't a physical need, I wasn't going to go hungry or homeless. But you guys helped me anyways, on something that means something big to me. I'm not sure how to phrase how grateful I feel. Sometimes dignity means more than food, I think.

You guys have taught me the lesson that people can be kind inside.

I'm going to go clothes shopping now, and on Monday I'll start on work. Thank you, sincerely.
