I got contacted by  MoonLover7 requesting I draw for a comic he wrote, but had no intention of paying and... well... let me show everyone how it went.

Without further ado, allow me to say that my Idea of the Collaboration, which is an Explicit Project which is mostly about NSFW/Hentai/Mature/Adult/Sex related content type of Comic Collaboration to be Honest and Precise but here's the catch, I cannot draw, in Fact, I'm just a Writer asking a Drawer type of Artist which is you and I think you know already who's going to do what but before you're thinking this is something related like an "UNFAIR" or a "FREE" Collaboration, do know that I WILL ignore it for I am Responsible for the Writing role such as Script's, Dialogue, Stories ETC and now all I need is someone to help me turn them into a Comic, also, the main Male Character is my Original Character.

if this is somewhat too much in your Opinion, I would like to recruit you for a Comic Project which I am currently working on, you see, I've been searching and asking various Artist's who can do Mature Artwork's, each with their own Specific Skills, Role and Duty to help me with this Comic Project which I obviously cannot do it alone and for this Comic to happen, I need your skills as one of the Artist's to help me accomplished this Project.

Right now all I need is 3 more Member's in this Collaboration/Project to work and that is the:

- Sketcher (make the Sketches of Comic Pic's and/or Pages base from my script's/description)
- Lineart Artist (making the Sketches into Digital Lineart for the Colorist to do)
- Colorist (Finish the Pic's/Pages by either Shaded or Detailed Coloring please)

The good thing about this is that whichever role you pick, you will be Credited for it but the bad thing is that it doesn't involve any kind of Monetary Payment but again, it DOESN'T mean it's "Free", what do I mean by that is again, this is a Collaboration NOT a Commission's, people think it'll be counted as Fruitless Project for there's no payment but this is where all the parties work together to complete the Project which might be beneficial all Parties, so if you does say it is then I am without a doubt and without hesitation going to completely and utterly ignore it while continuing the conversation, I'm sorry but Collaboration's AREN'T Free.

Well, you answer the part about what the project is. What's in it for me? Because generally with a collaboration all the artists get a say about what the end product is, however, as I see it, we will just be drawing what you want. Therefore the end product has no value to us, the artists. If we had input on the story or it involved our characters, it may have some value but, at this point, it's a big no from me.

Okay, I'll try to explain this. You right now have a vision to make this comic be created. We as artists also have visions we wish to see come to life. you are asking us to stop working on our vision to help you make yours. You are asking us to do this with no recompense. You are asking us to work on your dream. We don't have your dream. We have our own dreams we wish to work on. Now, you have asked us to work on making your dream come to life and I for one consider it rude that you think that us doing that for you isn't worth anything.

Yes, we take pride in what we draw. But our time and effort to make what you want happen is worth something. And you saying it isn't worth anything is calling us worthless. And when you turn around and try to pose these questions to us declining your request (because, as much as you pose it as a collaboration, its a request because the other artists have no say in the final outcome.) you are basically going "Well, why do you think you are worth anything? You're just an artist."

I wish you luck, but, if you aren't going to compensate the artists in at least some form, whether its by giving them creative input on the final outcome or monetary means, I doubt very highly you will get anyone to help.

In not offering us compensation, you are saying the art you want is worthless. You are call us worthless. You are insulting us. I'll say it as gain as it doesnt seem to be getting through to you. YOU ARE INSULTING US.

Do NOT contact me again. I will not work for you. At this point, I wouldn't work for you if you offered me money. No artist will work for you. Any that does has no self worth and will not be a talented artist. Get it into your head that what you are asking for is worth money and if you want it, you HAVE TO PAY!
