God, it's been a month since I last uploaded something, my apologies D:

I'm currently working on many things at once, one of those things being a Horstraw fursuit head, which should be able to get 3D-printed very soon! There's also some more things happening in life which I might talk about later on in detail in another journal.

Well, this year surely was fucking intense, holy shit. It was probably my most stressful year ever, filled with new things, eye-openers, life-changers and all that jazz. I'll try to sort everything by month, just like I do every year :D

January:
- Finished one of my biggest drawings to date.
- ...I already forgot what else happened but it was probably all administrative documents stuff

February:
- Wrote my first small story.
- I switched from using Photoshop to Clip Studio Paint.
- I got stabbed 5 times by needles for a blood test lol

March:
- Had to get glasses instead of contacts as my eyesight for being train driver wasn't good enough, but that fixed it.
- Started the train driver classes.

April:
- Got my own flat!
- Made Horstraw's eyes blue instead of brown.
- Passed phase 0 of train driver exams.
- I've driven my first train.

May:
- Twitter randomly suspended me lol
- Received my train driver license.
- Started working on Horstraw's 3D model.

June:
- Bought a new PC! ...Which I first didn't work, had to return, but then it was finally running.
- Bought a new phone! ....Which someone replaced with a bootleg phone. Returned it, got the actual phone I ordered.
- I've started to question my sexuality, thinking I might not be so straight as I thought I was...
- Started to let me hair grow longer than usual.

July:
- Someone began to impersonate me on Twitter and FA, and I still have no clue who it was, but Twitter and FA dealt with them and didn't bother me again.
- Passed phase 1 of train driver exams.
- Shit broke down, it's all downhill from here.

August:
- Visited Milan! ...I still haven't uploaded those photos, have I...
- I fell over a toddler lol
- I'm started to realise that I'm not only bisexual, but also a furry. At this point in my life I decided to not let my personality be controlled by anyone else.

September:
- I started pole dancing. Yes.
- Hair reaches a length where people think I'm a girl.

October:
- I biked over a child lol
- My bike got stolen D:
- Bought a new bike.
- Received Horstraw as a plushie~
- I tried eating a vegetarian hamburger that tastes the same as meat and please give me more of it.
- I'm physically starting to feel I'm reaching my limits. Oh no.

November:
- Finally got to try Super Mario Cereal, really wish I could get another box~
- I did not pass through the phase 2 exams for train driver, making me not allowed to drive trains for the Belgian Railways for the next 3 years. I'm still not sure if this is a blessing in disguise, as I started to realise how much stress it was giving me... Like, I loved driving trains, but the anxiety to do anything wrong was making me question every single action I did...
- Went lasershooting for the first time with new friends~
- Bought an Arduino Starter Kit to get back into electronics, something I haven't done for like a decade or something.

December:
- Bought a TV for all my consoles that i couldn't play on since I lived in my new flat lol
- Trying to figure out what to do as a job, still no idea what I could possibly do...
- Planning out my first "party" for New Years Eve, sure hope I'm not gonna fuck it up lol


So basically, job and love wise I'm the same as I started 2018: unemployed and single. But I do however feel like on other things in life I've improved, or at least sort of. I just hope 2019 will give me more peace of mind, because this year was just overwhelming.
....And an actually finished 3D model for once lol. But I feel Horstraw's 3D model should be finished soon enough!

And with that I also wanna apologise for not having put any art online in a while, life has been kinda hectic recently and I didn't pass the train driver tests... so yeah, it's basically back to 0 again.

So it's back to job-hunting again, maybe I'll just drive for private companies instead, who knows~

The next upcoming 2 weeks will mark my exam weeks, with next week being an exam on a real locomotive and one on a simulator, with the week after one having a vocal exam.

Wish me luck because my stress is through the roof

Since I'm making a lot of summaries of everything I've learnt so far in my train driver course, I barely have time left to work on art.
I hope to get something out soon, it's for Halloween so I better have it done before the month ends lol

I was getting kinda worried I wouldn't be able to manage to go on holiday during my summer break, but right a few weeks before it starts, I managed to get something scheduled :D

I'll be staying in Milan for 4 days around August! I have never in my life been to Italy, so I'm pretty excited! I'll also meet up with the wonderful  OkamiWhitewings , continuing the yearly tradition of meeting up with online friends :)

And just like last year, I'll post photos and videos about it all (and also link them here), but this time after I'm back home again, since I'm not taking my laptop with me anymore lol

Whew, after a pretty stressful exam, I have now passed phase 1 of the train driver education! I'm now practically safe with all my payments until November, that's when phase 2 ends.
I'm pretty relieved to hear that I can continue, but I'm not done yet. Heck, I'm not even halfway lol


In other news, phone finally works at it should! Turns out that I also had the wrong size SIM card, so I could only start using my phone since today lol

But yeah, I now have 2 weeks of practice days, and then 3 weeks off! No clue if I can/will go on holiday then, kinda aiming for Sweden...?

I just can't order new tech without problems, it seems...

I ordered a new phone this week, a Motorola Moto G6, but when it arrived and I opened the box, inside it was a whole different phone!
The phone inside was a fake Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS, a phone that actually costs over €1500. I contacted the store and they also have no clue how that happened, the box was sealed and everything. But they've sent a new free replacement, and now I finally got the phone I asked for. No one knows what happened and both the online store service center and the post office were confused, but the person who did this is in deep trouble...


In other news, I have my Phase 1 train driver test next Monday, so don't expect any art this weekend. We did a test-exam past Thursday and that went pretty well, so that will hopefully be the same next week...

Now if you excuse me, I need to study hundreds of pages about railway stuff, see y'all on Monday!

The good people at the PC shop managed to repair my new computer, and it's now working properly :D
Now instead of 2 computers, which comes with its own troubles, it's now 1 meaty desktop with 2 screens and a pretty neat keyboard! Here's a comparison image to show how it used to be vs how it is now:

I've so far been able to move most of my drawings on the new pc, and all the settings from CSP are now also the same. I'm not sure if my screens are colour-calibrated correctly yet, but that's for another time lol

I want to once again thank  OkamiWhitewings and  Doryx for all their help with this, you're both wonderful <3

My new PC arrived recently, and it's a HUGE machine! But sadly enough, it has troubles starting up, showing nothing on the screens at all.

This, besides all the train driver theory, makes it a bit of a struggle to work on art atm, as I kinda want to continue only after my new pc is installed. No idea how long this will take, but I'll keep you all updated :D

From now on, Horstraw's eyes will be BLUE instead of BROWN, this to make him fit more to how I look like, since that's basically the last thing that's different from us. I'll update all 2018 art and ref sheet with this update~

After a nerve-wrecking day which was more waiting than filling in a test, I successfully passed the first phase of the train driver education :D

This allows me to get the European train driver license and pretty much everything I need to be able to start actually driving one (this also includes a pretty bulky tablet lol)

But for now it was all easy, now comes the toughest part... 2 more phases of those. Oh dearrrrr

I've slowly but surely made my new apartment more "me". Got myself a pretty huge desk, hung some art on the walls, replaced most of the lights with LED panels, put blinds and curtains where needed the most and so on. I'm already getting used to my new place and it's honestly such a wonderful place~

It did need a ton of cleaning and such, the previous owner wasn't exactly tidy lol.
But just the fact that I live nearby everything I need is so great, and even though I live in the center of the city, I live in a very calm street.

Everything is going well, now it's hoping I can keep affording it lol

It's finally happening, I got the keys to my new flat in the city :D

It's a pretty roomy flat on the corner of an intersection, giving me a gorgeous view. I will also be living very close to the station, making my life just that much easier :)

It will be a very busy week(end), as besides all the moving I also need to study for the whole first phase of the train driver education (and the exam is next week already too), so dear lord sorry for repeating myself once again but art will still be slow D:

I hope to have more time for art once I live in my flat and have a new setup and everything. I will also only have a decent internet connection next Friday, so keep that in mind too~

So the last few days I got a lot of information, booklets,folders,.... about my new job as train driver, and I would be lying if I said it wasn't very overwhelming. Today I basically had to travel all across Belgium to meet my new colleagues and get documents fixed for example, very glad I travel by train for free now lol

Of course, I haven't done much the last year work/school-wise, so it's going to be pretty weird to get into this rhythm again. The upcoming days will all be standard working hours where I'll have to follow courses and pass the first test, and then it's time to actually go to the depot. Then there's also me moving to the city which also needs a lot of stuff to be sorted out, so yeahhh, gonna be pretty busy the upcoming weeks!

But it's all pretty neat so far, just very overwhelming and exhausting, which is something I need to get used to. I hope you all understand this~

As it has been 2 years ago since I've made ref sheets for my characters, it's time to get new ones!

I'm doing this because the old ones are way too long, text-heavy and my art has vastly improved over the years. The new ones will be a lot smaller with only the essentials to draw my characters right (which means basic info, characteristics, likes/dislikes, front and back views, outfits, colours and some emotions)

Currently I'm making one for Palocoria, as she doesn't even have a ref sheet at all. Afterwards I do Horstraw, as he's the main dude after all (and I also just want more art of these two :D )

As these are smaller, they should be done faster too. I'm guessing Palocoria's sheet will be done this week. It's looking good ;)
