Just a casual reminder to fight against artistic repression. Be not afraid to draw or write what you want. Do now cowtow to the whims of out-of-touch corporate dunderheads or soapbox enthusiasts who only lend ears to the sound of thier own voice. Call out idiotic policies where you see them and support indie artists whenever possible.



The obvious exception being don't support actually harmful acts, I would like to believe I wouldn't need to clarify this distinction as it is obvious, but hard to tell with some people...

Who is fueling the decisions in that company? What kind of delusions are they to keep trying to make the money sink live service a thing at the cost of the actual creative folks with ideas?

And that goes for all these game studios. Stop trying to make us like live service money sponges, it's never gonna happen!

You know something folks? I think I'm jealous of my OC Stuffy. I'm jealous of her drive, her self-confidence in her skills and determination to get what she wants in life. Villain or no; what that girl wants, she's willing to bring the sky crashing down to make it happen. In fact, I think the villain aspect hightens it, because she truly has no one but herself to please and think about. Sure, she has tough customers, but again, it's all dependant on her and how she can handle the situation. That's not to say she doesn't hit lows, of course she does, both with and without her magic, the gal can have moments, but she picks herself up and charges on. As the New Year begins, I realize I want to be more like her.

For some reason that no senible human could hope to fathom, a Spyro and Crash crossover was canceled and Toys For Bob thrown to the wind after all thier hits. In the same breath, Bubsy Bobcat of all things is getting a museum from Limited Run, on top of all the other mascots they've been giving love to.

Like, I am having the most bizarre existential crisis trying to piece things together.

I wish so deeply for this journal to find it's way to the staff, but I cannot find any way to get in touch with the site staff as this is more a future concern than anything and have no connection to directly message them, so I have to either hope someone on staff sees this or one of my watchers has the connections I lack.

In recent days, there has been an uproar as various online storefronts and art sites are being strongarmed into altering policies about NSFW art (or rather anything that Collective Shout finds immoral), with recent examples including Steam and Itch.io being threatened via payment processing companies into more or less nuking thier more mature games and putting the livihoods and hobbies of many innocent gamemakers and artists in jepordy. On a more disturbing note, recently the site Fansly has begun a complete deletion of, among other aspects of art, anything involving furry or anthropomorphic art reguardless of context, decrying it as on the same level as beastiality.

Hopefully, I don't have to explain what will surely happen when this site lands in the crosshairs, and while I hope this mess is stopped and all efforts redacted before then, I find it better to be safe than sorry. So I must ask...

What steps, if any, is the site taking to ensure that the works of all the artists, writers, commisioners and more on this site are safe from such pearl-clutching Joe Liberman throwbacks?

Why it is that we humble creatures are the ones cursed with the ability to create the strange, fasinating and creative while it is the suits and noncreatives who have the money and power and yet devote the energy of thier worker bees to soulless remakes and products so strained through focus tests either of folks who aren't the 'target demographic' that they lose all sembelance of imagination?

So, over the last few weeks, I have been seeing continuous ads for some writing AI called Squibbler. And it just continues to get under my skin: the idea that there people who either have so little self-confidence or so little respect for the written word that they choose to use/make things like that. And that they are so desperate for people to jump on the bandwagon that they needle and pester and attempt to downplay any emotion

I say to you all now that I will NEVER use AI, whether it be for my fanfictions or my actual book work. Whether you draw, write or some other form of art, do not despair, or better yet, use that despair in your art to create things far better than any machine.

Just by attempt, you are already better, because unlike a machine you have the creative drive and artisitc passion to create. Mere lines of code do not have the emotional or artisitic appreciation, the experiences, none of the human aspects that are poured into every word, every line, polygon and shadow we create.

Art is a process, and process takes time. But that time is always well spent if you make what you want, how you want and for whatever reasons seem good to you.

Can someone explain to me why we have yet to see a remaster of Um Jammer Jammy even though the Parappa games have had remasters for years now.
