By commissioning me, you agree to the following terms.
Please read everything carefully before sending payment.
1. Artist Rights & Usage
* I retain full rights to the commissioned artwork, including posting it publicly, displaying it on social media, and using it in my portfolio.
* The client may use the commissioned artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
* Commercial use (e.g., merchandise, streaming assets, V-tuber models, self-promotion, etc.) must be discussed in advance and will require an additional 100% fee of the original artwork price.
* Unauthorized commercial use will result in blacklisting and reporting to relevant platforms.
* By commissioning me, you acknowledge that I may use, modify, or resell the artwork if the commission is cancelled due to a chargeback or breach of terms.
2. Payment & Refund Policy
* All prices are in USD and must be paid via PayPal within 24 hours of receiving an invoice.
* Full payment is required upfront. For commissions over \$300, a 50% deposit is accepted, with the remaining 50% due after sketch approval.
* An Artist Fee will be applied to every commission. This covers all changes, edits, and adjustments requested by the client during the process.
* The fee amount is set at my discretion depending on the type and complexity of the commission, starting from \$15.
* No refunds will be issued under any circumstances once payment is made.
* Chargebacks will result in the client being blacklisted, and I will retain full rights to the artwork, even if it contains the client’s character.
* I am not responsible for any financial changes or issues on the client’s end after payment.
3. Commission Process & Timeline
* Commissions typically take 2 weeks to 2 months depending on complexity and my schedule.
* Work-in-progress (WIP) updates will be sent at key stages:
1. Sketch (pose and composition changes allowed)
2. Base Colors
3. Final Preview (minor adjustments only)
* Clients must respond within 1 week of receiving a WIP. Failure to do so will result in being moved to the bottom of the queue without a refund.
* Expedited commissions are available for an additional \$50 fee.
4. Revisions
* Clients receive three free revisions:
* Two revisions after the sketch stage (pose and composition changes allowed).
* One revision after line-art (minor adjustments only).
* Any additional revisions will be priced at my discretion, starting from \$15, depending on the complexity of the request and the time required to complete the changes.
* Significant changes requested after final completion may incur extra fees.
* Clients attempting to abuse the revision policy, guilt-trip, or use PayPal disputes will be blocked and blacklisted.
5. References & Communication
* I work exclusively from reference images (OCs, fanart, etc.).
* Custom designs start at \$100+ depending on complexity.
* References must be clear and detailed. Poor or unclear references may result in extra revision fees.
* Communication is handled via FurAffinity DMs, email gemscaleart@gmail.com, or Telegram: [https://t.me/TLB\_69](https://t.me/TLB_69).
* Final designs will be sent via email gemscaleart[at]gmail.com in PNG and JPEG formats.
* PSD or other editable source files will not be provided unless specifically requested. If requested, an additional fee will be charged at my discretion.

* Please credit me when sharing my work online.

Just a quick update to let you know what’s going on.
I’ve managed to get my hands on a One by Wacom tablet secondhand, and I’ll be working in Clip Studio Paint for now so I can slowly start taking commissions again! My health has been stable so far—something I’m really proud of. I’m getting treatment and staying on track to improve my health over the next few years.
I’ll be reopening commissions soon to help add a bit extra to my savings, so I can keep putting money aside for a new Apple iPad. Please bear with me while I get back into the swing of things-every bit of support means the world to me.

50% Discount COMMISSION PAGE iPad Dead – Temporary Hiatus Notice + Explanation otice.

Just a quick update to let you know what’s going on.
My iPad Pro, which I use for all my artwork and commissions, had been giving me issues for a while—and now it’s officially dead. I took it to a trusted Apple repair shop, and they told me the only way to recover my files would be to pay around 4,000 ZAR (roughly $200+), and the files can only be transferred onto another iPad—which I currently don’t have.
That means I’m unable to take on commissions or continue working until I’m able to save up for a new iPad. I’m planning to buy it directly from Apple with iCare+ theft protection, because buying secondhand here in Cape Town is extremely risky. It’s just not worth the chance of getting mugged or having money stolen.
To my past and future commissioners: I’ll be on a short hiatus until I can get back on my feet. Any refunds or partial refunds owed will still be sent outI really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.
Art and commissions have been a big part of my life and a vital source of income. I’m working hard to save up and return as soon as possible.

I wanted to share something really upsetting that happened yesterday afternoon. While I was taking a nap, someone broke into my house. They climbed over the fence, got in through the backdoor (which my roommate accidentally left unlocked), and managed to grab my phone off the table in my room.
As some of you already know, about a month ago there was an attempted break-in here in the middle of the night. I reported it back then too, but the police told me this incident isn’t connected. Even so, it’s hard not to feel like my sense of safety has been completely shattered.
I was completely unaware of what was happening yesterday since I was asleep, and my room wasn’t locked either. Thankfully, the guy didn’t stick around for long because my roommate came home and scared him off. I’ve already contacted the police, but they weren’t much help again—they just told me to file a report and try claiming insurance. Unfortunately, the insurance payout won’t cover much since my phone was an iPhone 13.
Right now, I’m feeling pretty shaken up. I’ve got two of my cousins staying over to help me feel safer, but I still feel violated and nervous. On top of that, I’ve been dealing with medical bills, so things are extra tight financially. I really need to get a second-hand phone in the meantime, but I can’t afford it without some help.
If anyone would like to commission me or even send a few dollars my way, it would mean the world to me right now. Anything helps, truly, and I appreciate any support more than I can say. It’s a way for me to make up the extra money I need and also something to focus on while I process everything.

Update - Someone Tried To Break Into My House/Medical upd...
Posted 10 months agoAs some of you know, I’ve been dealing with medical issues, which have led to a stack of medical bills for my treatment and medications. With the recent change in medication, my body’s been adjusting, and I’ve been experiencing severe nausea, constant fatigue, and general discomfort. The nausea and exhaustion have been affecting me quite badly, making it challenging to go to the gym or stay outside for long periods, as I sometimes end up feeling extremely unwell or even throwing up. This has really impacted my creativity and has slowed down my drawing process more than I’d like.
To my loyal patrons and commissioners, I can’t thank you enough for your patience and support. I wanted to give a general update to let you know that, due to these physical challenges, my turnaround time for commissions will be longer than usual. I’m doing my best to stay positive and manage my mental health by staying active where I can, focusing on self-care, and finding ways to keep my creative flow going. Still, it’s been a rough period, and I’m working through these effects as best I can.

Payment must be made via PayPal within 24 hours of receiving the invoice, using the PayPal email provided.
Full payment is required upfront.
For commissions over $200, I offer payment plans: 50% upfront, with the remaining 50% due after sketch approval.
Please note: clients are responsible for covering any additional transaction fees (such as PayPal fees) associated with their payment. This fee will be added to the final invoice amount to ensure the full payment amount is received

Payment and Transaction Fees:
All payments must be made in USD via PayPal. Please note that clients are responsible for covering any additional transaction or transfer fees charged by PayPal. The total cost will include the commission price plus any applicable fees to ensure the full payment is received on my end. By sending payment, you agree to this policy.
Client Communication and Commission Delays:
If a client does not respond within 1 week of receiving the sketch for approval, and has been contacted multiple times, the client will relinquish their spot in the queue and will be placed at the bottom of the list.
No refund will be issued for this delay, and the client must wait for their turn to resume the commission.
Commissions can take up to 2 months minimum to complete, depending on my schedule and workload. If a client wishes to expedite the process and bump their spot back to the original position, an additional fee of $50 will apply to complete the artwork more quickly.

Reference Images: I work exclusively with reference images (OC characters or fanart). I accept custom designs though the price may vary from the starting price of 100$+ for a single pose/ character.
Timeline: Depending on the complexity, commissions take between 2 weeks and 2 months to complete. I will provide work-in-progress updates at key stages (sketch, base color, and final preview).
Communication: If preferred, you can share your Discord ID for better communication during the project. However, the final file will always be sent to your email.

Revision Policy: Each client is entitled to up to two revisions per commission:
First Revision: One revision is available after the initial sketch is provided. This allows for changes to the composition, pose, or any significant elements.
Final Revision: A second revision may be made once the illustration is completed, as long as the changes are minimal (e.g., small color adjustments, minor details).
For any additional or significant changes requested after the final illustration is completed, an extra service fee may apply. This fee will depend on the scope and complexity of the changes.
By commissioning me, you acknowledge and agree to this revision policy and any potential additional costs for further changes."
Final Delivery: The finished artwork will be delivered via email in three formats: a flat PSD file, PNG, and JPEG. Please ensure you save the final files, as I will delete the CSP/Live2D files from my system one month after delivery.
Attribution & Usage: Do not claim my art as your own design. Please credit me wherever applicable.
