It's pretty big and is about the same size as a standard couch throw pillow, except instead of being a bland square is a cute huggable paw with soft nuzzleable fleece pawpads! It's hard to believe I actually have over 1000 watchers now. o.O; I didn't actually set out to become Popufur™, and am not quite sure that I actually am, but in any event I'm glad that there are so many furs who like either my character and the art I get, or my personality manifested in comments and such. I know I like seeing the art many other frequent commissioners on this site get, especially the ones with more of an interest in paws and sizeplay and so on, and I'm happy lots of other people can also enjoy the art I get!

I also consider it a positive that I can help to give exposure to the artists I get commissions and giftart from, by shouting them out in the upload! More than a few times, I've checked an artists' list of watchers before posting a good picture I got from them and a little while after, and noticed a spike in the number of people watching them. That's certainly a very good positive aspect to having lots of watchers, because there's lots of underexposed artists on this site who deserve to have more eyeballs viewing what they draw.

Anyway, I certainly have no plans at the moment to stop uploading the stuff I get! So I hope you guys continue to enjoy the paws and sizeplay and other things I guess I am "known" for, soon to be joined by a few more maws than before. ;3

It would be helpful for a project me and a friend are working on if we could commission an artist to do a piece of art that is very much in the classic style of propaganda art. A bold, direct image that conveys power and message. Are there any artists on FA who work well in that style and are available to be commissioned with a reasonably quick turnaround time (before the month of February is out)?

Only seven days left! One week from today, on Thursday the 21st of January, I will be 30 years old - and it's also the day I fly down to San Jose for FC! Needless to say I'm pretty stoked. :D I'm looking forward to hanging out with friends, going to interesting panels, eating out a lot, hitting up the Star Trek museum, and getting lots of commissions. I think a few of my friends have some plans for my birthday too! It's going to be fun. ^.^

In the meantime, one of my roommates,  neziggy, also has his birthday this month - today in fact! So go wish him a happy birfday and snuggle him and all that. =) Dinner out tonight will happen and be filled with deliciousness, and I'm looking to Sunday for a small joint birthday party for the two of us for which I can make a +5 cake of awesome and all that good stuff can happen. Though hopefully given the occasion I won't have to do any further cooking for the party than that - I do like it and am good at it but there are some days where I shouldn't have to be the one in the kitchen!

Well, it's traditional to make new years resolutions and such, so I guess I should too! I wonder how many of these I'll fail at. :3 I'll limit this to five because any more than that probably isn't realistic, something will have to give.

In no particular order...

* I will cook or bake something new at least once each week that I've never made before. So far so good, I've made stirfry and also lime bars so far this year, both of which I somehow had never gotten around to, and everyone loved them. :)

* I will procrastinate less on, well... everything. But particularly on getting roleplaying game stuff written out and finished so it can be played with. Making progress, got a wiki set up on my server to play around with house rules and all for my Mouse Guard / D&D hybrid project, but I need to actually crack down and work on it. Procrastinating less also means actually getting around to playing the video games I have but haven't really done much with.

* I will officially get a boyfriend... who I will hopefully be able to call master! Certainly doesn't mean I won't be sub for others online and off anymore, I will still be the obedient subbycoon, but there's gotta be priorities you know? :3 I'm hopeful but we'll see.

* I will try to be happier in general. I never mean to be a burden on my friends, and that especially makes me feel bad since I'm so beta. Hopefully the current prescription will work out, I'll get more rest and feel less fatigued in general, and my health in general will improve, because it's probably going to take a combination of all three things. As part of it I also need to generally get less stressed about things that go south. This is going to be hard because I still generally feel like crap physically, and I have a lot of stress from things like the VPN for my "second job" screwing around with me for three weeks straight now and preventing me from working while deadlines loom.

* I will get stepped on by more kinds of furries than I have to date, and start getting more art featuring characters beyond just myself again. ;3 With FC coming up this is a good time to start making this happen!

Time to waddle off and work on D&D stuff again. :3

So, RPs aside, these are the species I've been at, under, or worshipping the feet of at least one member of in art, some of them multiple people with the same species: cat; dog; dragon; fox; furret (pokemon); griffin / gryphon; houndoom (pokemon); spotted skunk; tiger; velociraptor; wolf; yoshi (dinosaur thing). I've been in pics with the following where paws were on display somewhat but I unfortunately was not directly involved with: coyote, ferret, raccoon, rat. Virtually all of these in the first couple categories are people I know or who have won a kiriban from me. Then there's the great mass of a bajillion species who I have not had the pleasure of being artistically stomped by yet.

And that is where you, the reader, come into the picture! Most of you watching me share my interests to at least some extent, you represent a wide variety of species, and quite a lot of you are good artists. I'd like to see myself at, under, and worshipping the feet of more species, especially males thereof, bearing in mind my overwhelming preference for pictures that are 'clean' other than the 'fetish' content. I dislike elephants, hippos, and most hooved animals, but tend to like most other animals, and would especially like to see my second-category list up there moved to first-category along with a few other favorite species like red panda, certain digimon, otters, kangaroos, and so on.

I do (obviously) have tbe ability and willingness to pay for various commissions each month, though I'm more than a little drained compared to usual after coughing up $4600+ in the last two weeks for rent on old place, movein and rent on new place, uhaul, utility transfer, vet, doctor, food, car payment, student loan, et all. Even otherwise my ability to do this isn't unlimited, making this the most artwhore journal I've ever posted since I'm going to restate the obvious in that I also like getting gift art. ;3 Anyway, I am certainly willing to do some commissioning of some of you fine folk if you can't do things freely but want to respond anyway. Just bear in mind that I can only do so much of that at a time, because I try never to let my commission budget debilitate my ability to pay essentials and go out and do fun things in RL. Consequently, I might have to respectfully decline or demur to a later time if others get to me first, and that's not necessarily a reflection on my opinion of your abilities.

Now that I think about it, there have also been two vorish pictures involving me so far: a cat, and a raccoon. Seeing as I am becoming interested in that side of things as time goes on, I don't think I'd mind seeing pics like that either... especially if the face of the pred was visible and it wasn't random maw etc shots that could be anyone. :3 Since I'm much more into sizeplay and paw and dom/sub stuff though, I'm less willing to cough up money here except for friends or if someone's got the magical combination of very good and quite cheap.

... is the number my next kiriban thingy will be at. I still have the last one due because there are very few artists on FA that were appropriate to his request, but it has an artist and is waiting in line for its turn to come up. Anyway, this is going to be like before - color nonporn pic of your character and my little raccoon Shiro, in a scene of your choice by an artist of my choice who I will determine based on what your character is and what scene you're asking for. I obviously love sizeplay and paws but am game for almost anything as long as it doesn't involve genitals, sex, diapers, scat, watersports, or extreme obesity.

Don't do it to my notes or shouts or any other journal or I'll ignore it. 30k is some ways off and I am going to bump this journal off my front page tomorrow, so I'm thinking the winner will probably be someone who, A, is already watching me, and B, has a good memory. =)

I always say that coonies like surprises, but... there are some surprises I'm not keen on.

If my continuing string of failed Sense Motive checks is any indication, Wisdom is my dump stat.

Back from RF! It was a lot of fun, and though there are some things that could have been done better (*coughDon'tPutTheDealer'sDenInATinyClosetcough*) it was overall one of the best cons I've been to. One thing I particularly liked was how accessible the staff was and how much better organized it was compared to last year. Since there were over 1000 attendees this year, I think that RF has suddenly become the fourth biggest furry con after AC, FC, and MFF. For all those people though the only assholes I ever encountered were in the headless lounge.

On the runup to the con, I spent all week over at  michaelj's house helping him with the frantic rush to get his new fursuit done in time... providing material help to the project the first few days and then "moral support" by cooking for the crew and the like the last couple days. Fortunately enough people helped out that he was able to get the suit done on Friday, the first day of the con, and join us all there, though it would have been even better if everyone hadn't ditched him on Thursday.

At the con itself I roomed with  tyco,  shiuk,  rooboy, and  cyxthedragon, all of whom were sweet and wonderful. I met and re-met lots of people, spent a crapton of money in the dealer's den, won an awesome bag in the art show that I will use for a D&D dice bag, went to a couple great events like the variety show, and generally enjoyed myself. Particularly noteable was that Tyco built a fursuit sized to fit me from my measurements, a skunkcoon named Gomi, who I piloted around the con quite a bit... for over five hours total on Saturday alone, including in the fursuit games, the parade, and the dance! It was quite a bit of fun and only the second suit I've been able to wear due to my rather ironic enormous height in RL; the first was one sent down by  rainrat for a party at MJF's a couple weeks ago.

Definitely looking forward to FC even more now! But I'll see my roomies and  tahoe again before that, because I'll be visiting Reno in November! I expect that to be fun and expect to be taken to the good sushi places I keep hearing about. ;3

I got Scribblenauts last week, and basically it is made of win! There's so many ways you can solve each level just in the sheer variety of things you can summon up. For example, world 4-9 on the "Puzzle" track has a closed door to the right with a star you need behind it, a Spring Heeled Jack in a corridor above, and a lever guarded by said monster that both opens the door and drops a crusher which destroys the star before you can ever possibly get to it no matter what you do. I created a Hole and just went down under and around the door to get the star, not even bothering with the monster, the lever, or the crusher. :D

Some items are definitely better than others though. It's fun to find new ways to solve each level, but when all else fails there's a couple reliable things that usually work. Summoning a Singularity is the final word in death dealing, even to monsters with absurd amounts of hit points like the Dragon, Hydra, and Giant Enemy Crab, and it will even dispose of giant spiked balls and numerous other nuisances. A pterodactyl will get you virtually everywhere because it combines perfect maneuverability with being smaller than any other aircraft besides the Jetpack (which is faster and smaller but less maneuverability and has limited range)... and if you attach a Rope to it you can solve at least a quarter of the puzzles in the game with it (such as "get object A to point B without killing / encountering / whatevering thing C in between" and similar tasks). Calling up a Rain Cloud is much better than summoning an Extinguisher, because it continuously produces rain without running out and without needing to put Maxwell in harm's way, and can be moved around as needed... and the Thunder Cloud is an even better version of that which will mount attacks beneath itself. However, I think that's all fine; I like that the game basically rewards for you for getting creative and thinking of awesome solutions. (At least one of which for me involved the use of a Hover Tank!)

Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced my DS charger over the weekend. If I can't find it, I'm going to have to go to Gamestop and buy another one.

I've tried to explain spacetime to people before but not been able to come up with the right words past a certain point. This video has the right words. It is the most coherent explanation you will ever find of the official doctrine relating to dimensionality, string theory, and the like, except maybe for this:

I do have one problem with it. To my mind it has the same flaw as most string theory wherein it stops at three spatial dimensions and treats all dimensions after the third as time. Meanwhile, I think there could be fourth and fifth dimensional spatial objects that weren't fucked off through time. In other words, I think time and space should be treated more independently, as separate but coterminous dimensional constructs. So to use the analogy of the standard X-Y grid, you could define your place in the multiverse with an X spatial "coordinate" (which would actually have multiple subcoordinates of course, being multidimensional itself) and a Y temporal "coordinate" (likewise).

One of my girls, Freya, has it, with a swollen adrenal gland on her left side. And the vet thinks it might be cancer and has ordered an ultrasound and additional work. I don't so much mind the vet bill today unexpectedly being $400 higher than usual, though it stings, but what I am really concerned about is Freya... I love them both but Freya is the most loving of the two and my favorite. I feel extremely awful right now and I am hoping it is "just" adrenal disease and not cancer, but I have the feeling our luck's not that good. >.>

More than sympathy I'd like meaningful advice from other ferret owners who have had a ferret with an adrenal condition before... What should I do?

So I figure I'd do something fun. I'm going to offer some free art, like I do when I hit kiriban points. But this isn't a contest to be first, it's something different this time. So before you start commenting, look at the rules below.

1. This is only for people who don't have art of their characters! I want to make this something for the people who don't have artist friends and don't have the money to get commissions. This is a chance for at least a couple of those people to get something drawn they might not be able to otherwise. If you have drawn your character yourself though and have no artistic ability (be honest with yourself, not emo), you can still be eligible.

2. You have to be watching me on FA to participate. You must have already been watching me before I posted this journal, so I don't get people creating accounts to watch me for this.

3. You specify in a livejournal comment here (the post is screened, so it won't be visible to anyone) an idea involving your character with my tiny raccoon character, Shiro. You need to include a link to your FA page and a description of your character or you're automatically disqualified. Since this is being prompted by hitting 666 watchers, devilish ideas would be the most appropriate ones. >:) If I like the idea enough, I might pick it to be drawn, at which point I'll commission it into existence.

4. Fair warning. If your idea involves sex or genitals, it's going to be rejected out of hand; I'm not a puritan but I am protective of my character and don't want him in porn. I'm obviously a pawslut, and I am open to most other fetishes, even those I do not personally share, but there are things that are too squicky for me. I will not do anything involving scat, watersports, diaper, hyper, extreme lardroll obesity (pudge is okay), or mpreg. I'm on the fence about guro; my "day job" in public health may involve blood and decapitated animals and all that, so I'm inured to it, but doesn't necessarily mean I want Shiro in it unless it's very stylish.

5. You have to promise not to hound me, and not to get pissy if your idea doesn't win. This is something free, you're not commissioning me, I'm not an artist. :)

I know that it was apparently Decided by The People Who Decide Such Things that breasts are the "premium" parts of the chicken. In about a week and a half, a good friend is visiting me from Virginia for the whole last week of May! I direly need the vacation. Between dealing with all this swine flu bullshit at the lab where I have my day job, and coming home to contract work on the game I do writing for, and being ill for weeks, I have been really stressed and depressed. I requested the vacation time off months ago and I don't care if we have another outbreak before then, I'm damn well taking it. :P

I'm glad lunar_prodigy invited me up to visit him in Canada this last weekend. We saw Star Trek and it was awesome. We also attended fursuit bowling, went golfing with lope, went to a furmeet with undertones of birthday party, did dinner out, went to the beach and trails in north Vancouver, went up to see the wolves and the reservoir dam, and all that. I think I would be continuing to implode from stress if I hadn't gone. I'm coping better with it now. :3

The only cons I am presently planning to attend in the near future are Rainfurrest 2009, which is near me, and FC 2010, which is not but which I wouldn't miss because FC 2009 was so fun. I have neither the money nor vacation time nor desire to go to Anthrocon. But you will see me at the other ones, especially if you're an artist and I come up to you with my sketchbooks. ;)

*muffled underfoot* Whenever I try to change my life situation, there's a furret, keeping me down. Ah well... guess it's back to being micro again. The whole macro thing was fun while it lasted but it doesn't look like it's going to be allowed. ;3

Have you ever noticed that macros have more fun? Yeah, so have I. Micros get to be enslaved and abused and stomped on... while macros get to do the enslaving and abusing and stomping! No one even notices a micro until they get underfoot, but everyone knows when a macro is around and gives the proper deference to hopefully avoid being stomped and vored into oblivion. (Well, except the ones looking for that...) And of course, where micros often have trouble even getting around, a macro can cross miles in no time flat, and the whole world is like a destructible sandbox playground.

You've probably noticed me playing around with macro from time to time in my gallery... In the months since I started uploading my commissions, I've uploaded quite a few pictures of myself taking the bigger role already. Well, it's time to make the switch for good! Oh I'm sure I'll still be micro from time to time, just for old time's sake and because it's cute, but I have to admit that being worshipped (and having my paws worshipped) is also cute, and something I've wanted to explore for a while. :D So that's what you're mostly going to see from now on. Well this is certainly shaping up to look like a good week! Today I made more progress toward creating a *censoredforsurprisevalue* recipe that is safe for  rickgriffin and his food allergies, and I also get to meet up with friends for dinner and card games like Zombies!!! tonight. Monday is a holiday so I don't have to go into my day job (though I still have a deadline for my creative writing side job to meet), and I'll meet up with my parents for an early birthday dinner. Tuesday we get to throw out the old loser and install a new president, who can actually put five words together and not have it come out sounding like something an autistic child would say. Wednesday is my birthday... and I still won't be 30 yet, go me! Thursday I fly out of Seatac to go to San Jose for FC, and to meet up with friends; I'll be staying with Rick in the motel near the con hotel. ^.^ And then from Friday on, the con and other fun stuff! Of course my commission uploads will be on hold while I am not home.

Well, everyone and their dog keeps telling me I should start uploading all the commissions I accumulate to my FA account. So I guess I will... but I have a lot built up, since I seem to be one of the more prolific commissioners on this site. I know art floods are annoying so I think I'm going to take this slow, like 1 a day or 2 at most. ^^;
