2025 Update - July: Moving to Chile
Posted 2 months ago(Or at least that's the plan.)
I've been debating whether to keep working in here even after graduating, but the job market is on a chokehold from companies who hire architects with very low wages and 95% of the time won't allow them to move up. My city is small so i know almost every workplace is the same. Also, my family has always relied on our extended family to live well enough. I have grown used to just asking for stuff and now that i'm a proper adult i find that it led me to not have a good personal discipline.
For these and other reasons, i have decided to move to Chile. While attending SAFE i also researched about the job market in Santiago and, while it might be the same in certain aspects, it's enormous compared to that of my hometown. Which means i have a lot more chances to grow professionally and thrive in there.
I want this to be a challenge, honestly. And it's starting as one. I have calculated a budget of $2800 to be able to settle for a couple of months while i finish my job hunting (which if i'm lucky i might get within the first two weeks of being there). This means that you guys can ask whenever for commissions, they'll be open for the next three months. I also work on traditional drawing, for which you can ask examples.

2025 Update - April
Posted 4 months agoThis first trimester was wild. Some of the best days of my life so far, as well as not so great days. Just got the flu for the first time this year so i'm writing this from my bed.
January was mostly about my work as you might have read before. On February, on the other hand, i had my first flight alone out of the country and my first furry convention, SAFE 2025 in Santiago (Chile). I met awesome people there, went out with them, danced a lot and had so much fun above all. Chilean furries really made me feel at home, so i thank them a lot for that. Specially the friends who i spent most of my time with in there. Love you all :3
I started my school year almost right after. I have a big personal project planned so i have been trying to work on a lot of stuff recently. I am currently making good progress with it, but it's been a bit complicated to work fast on commissions. Nevertheless, half of them are completed and i'll be trying hard to catch up with all of them this month so i can open a new batch. This time i'll be working more on adopts and YCHs.

2025 Update - January
Posted 8 months agoHello guys! I have left my FurAffinity account unattended for a long time so it was already due for me to post something for the users who are not active on other platforms.
The last year and a half were quite eventful. Some slight health problems, a lot of progress in academic stuff and a LOT to handle with work, specially these last 6 months, where i wanted to resign because the supervisors and chairmen at the small company i work in were doing a very bad job at task management and working within their own organization chart, so i took it to myself to make a slightly lengthy memo noting each of the noticeable issues that were causing losses for them and proposed new terms for their own organization. Trying to involve myself more despite working part time was a challenge and it might have not been worth it. I was told off, in a very polite way, yet still they realized what i wanted to do and offered some alternatives. None felt good enough even though they offered a raise. I'm still working with them, holding on for a few more months and knowing they've been relying on me for client relations among other things ever since. I still want to resign because i constantly have to discuss responsibilities to avoid being overworked, and with such a low drive to work on their own organiation i see no future in there. I want to work at a place where i can not just put my technical skills to use, but also my administrative skills which i want to develop more. Maybe i should open my own business as soon as i graduate. 2026 shouldn't come too slow.
As per more personal stuff, i've been struggling with keeping up a good schedule, but i'm working on it. Having a variable amount of free time when i'm in school season makes it more difficult. But it's going. I plan to travel more, which i expect will help me relax, as well as trying to pick up a workout routine which i know will help with my anxiety. What i'm trying to get time for is to learn new stuff (improve my art, some industry software i've been wanting to learn, maybe learn Korean, and also a new instrument, which is very ambitious for just one year of plans). But i have to keep my head up and do what i want. "Day one, not one day" is a super cheesy saying which i love for these situations, and it definitely moves me if not just a little bit.
Hope you guys have a great year.

Sept/Oct Update
Posted 3 years agoHello again! Monthly update has been kinda delayed due to me having more responsibilities lately, but here we are.
Things have been doing better, i got a new part-time job and am also finally fully finishing my first year at college hahaha. September was a veeery busy month due to my job mostly, but i got most of my commission list done.
October was pretty uneventful apart from it being a busy month (again). Though, i had to go to the hospital last week due to an emergency, i suddenly got some sharp pains on my abdomen, which were very intense and lasted for quite a bit. I had some tests done and apparently it was due to me being constantly stressed, so i'll have to take care of that. Still recovering from it, it still hurts a bit there but i'm way better than before!
Also, commissions are on the way! I still have to finish 3 pieces and then i'll start to post the newest batch. I hope you guys look forward to them, i tried my best but these last ones were definitely a challenge. I shouldn't take such a number of comms at once!
And lastly, i'll be reviewing my prices. This is due to me changing my style, i've been adding a couple of extra steps to my drawings that make them take more time than expected, so my commission sheet will be updated soon enough.

August Update
Posted 3 years agoHello guys! Hope you've been doing good.
First of all: regarding commissions, i've been pretty slow due to a few bad weeks lately.
Now that i've been doing better, something happened: the anonimity of my account has been compromised since one of my family members followed it. This was a real shocker and it is to this moment, so i blocked them, i changed my bio, my profile picture, my @ and my name. That means that for an undetermined period of time, my Twitter account will be inactive, at least until i feel safe to go on normally; or in a more extreme case scenario, rebrand myself.
Either way, now that i'm doing better and keeping a low profile with my family as a precaution, i will continue commissions at a regular pace. Commissioners can expect WIPs soon or can either contact me on Discord or Telegram.
Thanks a lot for the support guys. Hope things get back on track soon.

July Update
Posted 3 years agoSo, here we are again. The response to me opening comms has been so quick and almost overwhelming so i'd like to say thanks to you all again. It's been a huge help, and even though my slots are full as i'm writing this, i'll be definitely let the people interested know when i get a few pieces done.
Personally, family debt is still there but we're helping the way we can. Even though the last batch's total earnings were super helpful, it was super hard to work on so many commissions. I took 16-17 spots and it was super exhausting, but here we are. 99% finished with them and also getting started on new ones. And also, i have been looking for part time job opportunities, for which i know i can get accepted. I trust my skills :)
It's honestly hard having to be worried about money so often lately, and given the current global situation it's always present to me that my family is not in this thing alone. But i wanna help them in the way i can, while also being able to support myself. It'll be hard with college and only having a part time job but for now, i got this. All i can say is thank you guys for the constant support, new pieces are on the way for y'all to enjoy. <3

June Update
Posted 3 years agoHello guys! I've been alright. Despite pressure from external sources and from myself, i've been managing to work on commissions (slow but steady) and do fairly good at school. Family debt previously explained on the last journal has been less of a burden since we managed to pay most of it and for other things at home to be fixed. Thanks a lot to the people who had enough interest to pay for a commission or had the interest to just ask. It means a lot to me and it helped me and my people <3
For now, commissions have been going slow, but i'm still trying to work on them often while trying not to burn myself out as well. This first batch has 15 commissions so far, 2 of which are finished. The rest is currently under work, but none of them is not started with yet.
I'll definitely try my best to satisfy everyone who got a slot from me, and i want to thank you all for your support again.

Update
Posted 3 years agoI tried to hold myself from saying this because things were going relatively alright, but i believe it's time to tell a certain detail about my situation.
I had a trip with part of my family in which i agreed to pay my part because i chose to go with them in kind of a rush. Due to various inconvenients that happened during this trip, the total expenses of it jumped approximately from $1500 to $3500, the $2000 extra being for car repairs, international towing, and tickets for a transport back home. After this trip -which happened last year- my parents ended in a way-bigger-than-expected debt, and also found out they were scammed (twice) by the seller of the car used for the trip. Add that to a few months of expensive energy bills and they were in a situation that really was above them. They took a few loans to try and mitigate the situation but ended up in pretty much the same debt to different credit houses. At this point me and my sibling decided to help them giving what we could to them. Since i opened the PayPal payments, about half of the income i had from commissions i redirected to help them pay this debt and the energy bills. The other half has been directed to buying myself the books necessary for my career, paying for my work laptop, a new working tablet and other personal expenses. Right now the situation they're in keeps them from bringing enough income to our household, due to the situation previously mentioned. I work a part-time and sometimes my payment, which is less than $200, gets on hold for days.
The latest batch of commissions are currently being worked on, i expect to finish most of them soon. This time i'll try to open a new batch sooner than the usual, so i can raise more to help them. If it's in your heart to donate or give tips it would be greatly appreciated, just let me know privately. And if you took the time to read this through, i appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
I love you guys, and hope you have a great day :)

Commissions
Posted 3 years agoHello guys! It's been a while since i posted in here. Just want to make a little update since i've been mostly quiet everywhere. First of all, commission progress has slowed down a bit since i had a LOT of work these last weeks. College and work have both been very demanding and that forced me to delay some of the work. And also, i moved my setup to my room temporarily, which means that i can't count with much privacy to draw. All that said, i am still working on them -though the progress might be slow, but still steady-. Thank you all for understanding and i hope i can get to post my work for you guys to see very soon. Thanks for the support as well <3
And another thing, also: once this is all done i'll be putting up either a YCH or a couple of adopts. I'll keep you guys posted.
Hugs :)

Commissions
Posted 3 years agoCommisions are closed! Thanks for the interest guys <3
I'll keep you guys posted on anything new. Once i get most of the comms finished i might put up a YCH!

Getting started
Posted 3 years agoI am currently wanting to open commissions this week. I'll most likely take my free time at night to prepare my new comm sheet and anything else needed for the matter. Since i'll be going to work away from home for about a week i might be busy to answer any inquiries, but feel free to contact me through Twitter DMs, personal notes in here or via email (ftrccn@gmail.com) and i'll answer whenever i'm able to (unless we're mutuals, message me only for business inquiries, please!)
I'll be posting previous personal work and commissions throughout the week to have this page active at least for that period.
Also, i've been wanting to make a YCH, but i'm not really sure whether it should be up for auction ot for multiple sales at a fixed price. I'll keep you guys posted still (mostly on Twitter, lol).
Have a nice day y'all.

First time in FA
Posted 3 years agoUhh, well. I always told my friends, whenever the subject was brought into the conversation, that FA was a old fashioned blog site that was definitely out of my understanding (and it still is, for the most part). But i know there are so many great artists and users that i would like to reach and other cool people that i would love to talk to that pretty much don't have any other forms of social media. So, i decided to push myself to use FA, since it's a community directed to furries, made by furries. I hope i can have the best experience i can have here, and if you got to read this, thank you for that.
Now, let's try and see if i can post consistently in here, haha
