Fear not guys. I haven't forgotten about y'all. I've been on and off working on them quietly. Been taking a bit of a break due to some stuff that came up, but I'll be back to full work on the 20th. Then it should be bi-monthly commission slots, given everything is laid out well and no surprises show up.

So, as a bunch of you may know, in the past few weeks, I had a visit from someone special. My glorious and dorky partner  NiTEi came to visit me for the first time. We had a pretty good time, barring my mental issues ruining a good chunk of the time, and me being a total wreck on the day he left.
His mother came with him for safety and to see what the family was like. She was pleased enough that she invited me to visit them next year, either during Spring Break, or Summer. The alternative is that I meet up with him at BronyCon 2019. But for this to happen, I need to save up money.

And that's where you guys come in. I'm not begging or asking for money, but I want to save up a fund to be able to travel to see him next year. That means I need to save up starting next month, and work as hard as I can for it. My first step is going to finish the YCH image I started roughly a month ago, and from there I'm hoping that by opening slots once every couple of weeks that I can save up enough that I can either fully fund the trip, or at least have minimal impact on my safety funds. (For those who don't know, I live on income assistance. I cannot work due to my mental issues, and a bit from my body's atrophy and awkward growth. I also have a "safety" fund for my insurance--if anything happens to my apartment, I need a chunk of dosh to secure insurance to replace whatever was lost.)

Hopefully by a decent time next year, we can have had saved up enough to go somewhere! If I do end up taking the BronyCon 2019 route, then I'll be sure to let you guys know when I'll be about! (But please don't be TOTAL weirdos to me!)

For those whom don’t follow me on Tumblr or my Discord, lately it’s been quite the struggle to deal with various things.

First, I stayed a week at my sister’s house to watch over their pets while her family was on vacation. When I came home, my apartment was flooded. Kitchen was soaked, counter top soaked, sink full, carpet soaked… Turned out that some idiot ended up clogging the pipe and caused the water to flow back up into my sink. That took about a week of heat exhaustion + heat frustration and a dehumidifier to clean.

Then my brother-in-law got into a NASTY car wreck. My other sister needed me to stay with her for about five days to care for her dog and her kids while she was out visiting her husband in the hospital. (Her kids are school age, so it isn’t TOO bad.)

Two days after getting home, some retard in my building decided to overload the washing machine and made it overflow. Guess what? I’m on the other side of the damn wall they’re on, so my carpet got fucking SOAKED AGAIN. So now I have to deal with the dehumidifier for probably another week while it tries to dry out the carpet. The best part of this?
My computer setup, my TV, and my Wii setup are all along that wall. I’m lucky there isn’t any lasting damage, but fuck man. Some people deserve a good smack upside the head for being idiots.
The next time I hear the washing machine being overloaded I’m going to take the initiative to go into the laundry room and turn the damn machine off, and leave a note telling that person that they need to learn to do their laundry correctly. It’s actually against the landlord’s rules to overload the machine and it’s even on the fucking wall in that room.
So, while I deal with heat exhaustion/frustration, looks like I won’t be doing much of any art for a while. I’ll probably try to do some work, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

This is one PSA I hoped I wouldn't have to write, but... Unfortunately, it's come to my attention that some of my followers have been using Sprite for things without my permission.

Don't get me wrong--I enjoy getting gift art. ...Assuming that YOU were the one to draw it. But using her in role playing, or commissioned work without asking me first, unless you're a friend of mine, isn't okay. It can go into some sketchy things (pardon the pun) that I may or may not approve of.

Most people that have wanted to do something with her have asked, which I am thankful for. But please, PLEASE. If you're going to get gift art for me (for WHATEVER reason...) which is done by someone else, ASK FIRST. That's all I want. I'm fairly protective of her, and disapprove of people tossing her around willy nilly.

TL:DR - Ask before using Sprite or her family in any works. Makes life a lot easier for all of us.

So. This is going to be quite the update.

As how my circumstances have changed very recently, I'm forced to change my art from a more hobbyist type of thing to an actual business venture. This won't affect the majority of things, but it will affect how commissions are carried out (and a soon to be updated commission list.) I am hoping this change will allow me some more freedoms for what I get in a new housing situation.

So what is this change, exactly?

Commissions will no longer be a "permanently open" status. I will leave my commission statuses as open, but I will be running them more like other "popular" artists--Once or twice a month I will open up 5 slots for commissions. Once they are filled up, no more will be accepted until they are finished.
One person can take up one slot, but can commission multiple works/comics. This runs with standard fees, however, and has no discounts. Standard work/difficulty fees can apply (usually not too much of a charge, but it depends upon the idea and the degree of difficulty it is.)
There will also be an updated commission master list to reflect my current works, and add on the addition of comics. Comic pricing will be as follows:
$10 for a black + white/greyscale 3 panel comic.
$5 extra per panel.
$10 extra for color.
$5 extra per character (for 3+ characters. 2 or less will NOT affect pricing.)

I am also considering changing my Patreon to have Patreon rewards. Maybe do something like others where I can release a monthly image (maybe voted on,) for Patrons a few weeks before it is released to the public.

If anyone decides to leave in response to this, I'm sorry to see you go. It's been a fun ride, but new housing circumstances came up and I'll need the extra dosh to survive.

Sooo yeah. It's the end of the year. Looking back on it, it feels like I was a terrible artist for not putting out very many works, and a terrible personality for having a lot of social issues, freak outs, etc. Including making everyone unsub to my Patreon.

I can't say that the next while is going to be much easier, either. The transition to being on my own with the dog hasn't been easy. The first several weeks had me so stressed I was ill, and almost willing to give up the dog. The winter drag down is also in effect with snow and brutal cold. I can only hope winter doesn't last until like May like two years ago.

I want to keep drawing, but it's hard to find the motivation or energy to do so. Lots of sleeping issues lately.

Instead of an art stream, would anyone be up for a possible game stream? Nothing like super competitive or dumb, probably just play some casual Starcraft while talking with people. Not 100% sure, since barely anyone attends any of my streams anyhow... But seeing as I haven't had the art drive, I thought that a game stream would be nice for a simple change of pace to chill with people.

And happy new year's I guess. I dunno. Another day.

After almost a ten month battle with cancer, my mother finally passed away last night at around 10:30PM in the company of loved ones.

She was kept on strong pain medicine around the clock the last few days, so she hopefully felt as little pain as possible during her time.

While I’m mostly unaffected right now, I’ll probably take the next few days to do as I see fit. The visitation and funeral are at the beginning of next week, so we’ll see what goes on and how I feel after then.

It’s the start of a new leaf and the future, as always, looks hazy and uncertain. Lots of changes to be made, and things to figure out. But all I can do is take things one day at a time.

I need not condolences, but I thank you regardless.

So. It's been a while, huh?
I'm not dead quite yet. I've actually been struggling to find the time as well as the energy and focus to draw with what has been going on.
If you haven't been a part of my Discord group, then you've probably fallen out of the loop. To summarize, my mother was diagnosed with cancer back in February. She went through treatment and had about two months of being somewhat free of the cancer. In August or September, it came back in full force. She began to decline from there even while going through a less powerful treatment of radiation and chemotherapy. However, after a few months, they decided to stop treatment as it wasn't going to help her.
Over the past week her physical health has declined rapidly, and as such I've had to step up and deal with a lot of things in regards to her. Medication management, assisting her with going from place to place within the home, dealing with various medical machinery, and even losing sleep due to having to pay attention to any little thing that went bump in the night in case she fell.

All of this, in turn, has put quite the burden on me. Now we're at the point where nothing is certain, and the future is very hazy at best. We're going through various things to figure out what I'm keeping when the time comes, what is going to whom, and what will be sold off for the manor. She has maybe a few weeks left in her, but I expect that she doesn't have even a month left.

I'm still trying to draw, but it's a struggle and a half. I have a few things in the back I want to try and do, but the chances of seeing any art any time soon is actually quite low. Sleep deprivation, stress, anxiety, and depression (this is not related to her, this is general depression) are all taking it's toll on me slowly. I'll try to do what I can and when I can.

I'm also trying to find a new place to live. I'll only have a matter of time after she's gone to find a place, or else my money is going to dry up faster than a puddle in a desert. I have the assistance of some siblings and my agent, but Celestia only knows that I will find a place I'd like.

I don't ask for money or "prayers," but just a general heads up that things are going to slow down even further than they already have.

So, while streaming today, I decided to take a doodle I did for shits and giggles, and was turning it into a full art piece.

Two and a half hours into the piece's work, I was almost done my good lines when guess hat happens? My god damn network driver crashes my machine, and I lose all my god damn hard work and data. Not a single ounce of it remains.

I am so god damn upset right now that I don't ever want to pick up my tablet again. That piece was going to be REALLY fucking good and now all the hard work is wasted from something that couldn't have been prevented nor fixed.

Pretty sure this is the straw that broke the camel's back. Life just wants to take away and all happiness I have left and leave me with a miserable pile of shit to play with. Fuck my god damn life.
