August 3: Status updates, TF sequence policies
General | Posted 6 years ago(Version française à venir bientôt!)
Hello everyone! I hope August is going out well for you and that the summer's heat hasn't crushed you folks too badly in this new summer of record temperatures. Here there's definitely been a fair bit of very warm days combined with extremely high humidity levels but thankfully things are finally cooling down a bit! Now since it's been a while since the last journal I wrote, there will be a lot for me to cover today starting with a round-up of the last month's works and events as well as updates to my commissions policies(specifically as they pertain to transformation sequences). Plus I also have some what I think(and hope!) might be helpful personal advices for those who might be interested in commissioning TF sequences from an artist.
Also, as today's journal is rather large the french and english versions will be posted as separate updates rather than an unified post.
July's round-up :
As people have noticed, July has been a pretty busy month for me with a massive sequence that I have just recently completed this last week and uploaded the last image of to FA. It was certainly a lots of firsts for me not only in the size of the sequence and timespan within which I finished it, but also in term of subjects which included my tackling some specifics NSFW features and elements I never expected to prior to working on this.
This said it was very hectic and busy outside of artwork which meant I haven't got to work on a whole lot of projects outside of this one, with a lot I ended up having to deal with at home. Nonetheless, now that this sequence is complete I am well and fully open to more commissions!
And with the added freed time I now have, I also just recently completed a series of images(including a new digital painting for the first time in a while!) that I have just uploaded to my Patreon for "early access"-level backers but which should be available here sometime around next friday!
Commissions status and sequences policies updates
As stated, having just finished a massive sequence last week, my queue sits currently empty which means I'm now fully open for more commissions! As usual, you only need to give a look at my pricelist and then hit me up via email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com !
Now, my sequence policies update:
The experience gathered working with this sequence means I feel a bit more confident about tackling transformation sequences commissions of varied length and at a faster pace, but also has led me to have a better idea of what I need in return to make this possible. This means I'm updating my policies relating to transformation sequence commissions.
So as of today my policies for sequences are updated as follow:
1- The monthly cap for sequence is replaced by a weekly cap.
Previously, when it came to larger sequences, I would work at a pace of only 2-3 images per months to avoid "project exhaustion". Thanks to the experience acquired with the latest sequence, this cap is removed but I may instead work on a given of (sequence) pages per weeks. The soft "weekly cap" thus allow me fast progress on even the largest sequence while leaving myself plenty of time to tackle other people's commissions as well(such as working two sequences for two different people at the same time). As such the cap is not global but rather on a "per sequence" basis instead.
2-I will require refferences and a clear scenario to work from.
This one is a new requirement, but from now on I will not accept sequence commissions for which I have insufficient reffenrences or even just too unclear a scenario for me to work from. To put it simply:
I will no longer accept requests for which the only informations I have is "a man transforming into a wolf" if I don't know what the man looks like, what causes the transformations and gives me even less about how the character should react.
A scenario doesn't have to be complex. Just the recent "transformation caused by potion" of the recent sequence commission gave me plenty to know how the sequence would work, how the character would react to it if the potion was one they personally wilingly drank/looked forward to with enthusiasm. Similarly for the same sequence I was given only a single refference but in this case in the context of the transformation I was able to apply it to both the character subject and their transformation which helped guide the work.
3-I will demand a strict "game plan" in term to pages count and general structure.
This is somewhat of an extension of the second point, but from now on I will no longer allow mid-production request for additional pages or changes to order of pages themselves. To work on a sequence, I need to know exactly how I need to go about pages. Should additional pages be requested, they will have to be done only after the run we agreed upon is over. This also mean that I will not accept changes to the planned structure; # I will no longer accept to changes a previously discussed upon preTF page for an additional midTF page.
4-I am taking a hiatus from accepting "Painted" sequences except for before/after sets of images or single illustrations.
As said, I am no longer currently accepting digital painting sequences projects outside of before and after images. Digitally painted images are a level of work that is very hard to adapt in a full sequence. However they remain perfectly solid for before-and-after shots where I can work them into a "beauty shot" format that mech very well with the medium of a before and after contrasting pair of images.
Extras- Some General advices.
Now these are less rigid rules than loose guidelines which can help with commissioning a sequence. But when when it comes to the subject, I feel these are all points that can be useful to keep in mind! A lot of these are all points and factors which I feel and believe can often help in producing better looking and more satisfying outcomes.
For one, do your request need to be a full sequence?
Could the desired outcome be achieved with a shorter project like a before/after or a single midTF? It might be worth asking yourself if the scenario you have in mind really lend itself well to longer sequences and spare yourself the cost of longer projects. Similarly a subject that is stretched over too long can sometimes result in lower quality if steps even begin to feel like they are being "forced" rather than flowing more naturally in the process of a sequential work.
Similarly, how much of a foundation does your scenario give?
The potion theme worked well because it immediately implied a cause to the TF but also immediately added an emotional component. How would the character react? Do they enjoy/fear/dread/desire the transformation? These are all factors that helps an artist and even moreso with the flow of the sequence since it helps gives us a foundation not just for the sequence in general but every single pages we'll make for it. Telling us how you want the anatomy to have changed at every pages is one thing but is also a very dry foundation to work from if we have to figure out on our own how the character should even react to such changes! That goes the same for figuring out the character if all we're given is a very generic subject such as "a man" with no clear tropes for us to draw from.
For example: "A man changing into a wolf" is extremely generic and gives off little about even the transformation itself. "A man changing into a werewolf under the light of the full moon" already gives more content to work from since mentionning "werewolf" and "fullmoon" already gives more context than the generic "transform into a wolf" we'd otherwise would have to extrapolate from ourselves without beind certain what we'd make is what the client exactly wanted.
Similarly "A warrior succumbing to the transformation under the full moon after defeating a werewolf" already gives a ton of context about what type of character the subject is, why they are transforming and how they might even have contracted the lycanthropy in the first place. And it still all could fit in a single sentence!
If this is not your first sequence from the artist, is it a subject you've already asked of them?
This is a bit of a personal one, but ultimately repetition can have a wearisome effect on an artist. If your request include the same character, does the new transformation request really bring anything new to the table, or is it a
rehash of something that was already done before? This can be worth asking as it can be hard to keep the same scenario "fresh" if it always the same one being repeated all over. Instead consider asking yourself if more satisfying works could be produced by focusing not on repeating the same transformation but instead thinking about the context of images of the character(s) before or after they transform.
Did your request include reccurent hapeshifters for examples? Then consider you might instead explore expanding the ways the characters can be portrayed! What do they do when they aren't changed into their other self? What is their relationship with it? What kind of activities(mischiefs? adventures!?) could their transformed selves being involved into? These are all salient points to keep in mind and could lead to even more interesting outcomes than you might think!
Similarly, know your artist!
Do they have specific types of subjects they seem to favor or excel at? Think of giving a look at what personal art they create when not working on commissions! This is more of a loose advice than others, but for first-time commissions knowing an artist's strenghts is a good way to ensure the best of outcomes! The same goes about being aware of their weaknesses and being unafraid to asks them if some subjects might be more difficult for them to tackle.
For some examples I utterly love werecreatures in most of their permutations and varieties. Being able to inject traits of "weremonsters" into the recent FA sequence is one of the aspects that helped me complete it despite the facts that outwardly a lot of the NSFW features of it were ones I had very little experiences with. On the other hand, I heavily struggles with "ferals", particularly ungulates and "barnyard" animals like donkeys, chicken and cattle. It's not that I would never draw them, but requests involving them will very much not be playing to my strengths. If you asks me a request of a character transforming into a plain nonmorphic donkey, I will verily admit to you I will be uncertain if I will truly be able to give you the best results. On the other end, if you're asking for something like a powerful anthropomorphic monstrous weredonkey, then I may well be your artist!
And never be afraid to asks! Despite all my transformation works and how much I love TF, I also enjoy working on fantasy and science fiction characters even when they don't involve TF! And that's just a tiny part of the subjects I can tackles!
These are all factors to think in mind when you desire the best of outcomes for your request and I hope they will help no matter who you decides to commissions works from!
All of this now stated, I hope you people will be okay with these new policies for TF sequences and I look forward to all the future projects I may work on! Thank you for taking the time to read this and and I hope you continue to support and enjoy my work!

July 9: Updates, commissions status and more
General | Posted 6 years agoHello folks! New update for the new month.
So far things are good. I still only have a single commission to work on, but it's definitely a substantial one. It's admitedly currently exclusive to my furaffinity account, but 5 pages of it have already been uploaded but once it's done, the final results should be a 10 pages sequence. It's definitely larger than what I usually do, but thanks to a lot of conversation and pre-work planning it's been going at a brisk pace so far. Doing this in the inked+simple colors style I'm starting to develop seem to also be a pretty decent match for the process.
This said, part of the reason I'm doing this commission in weekly chunk is specifically to keep myself open for more. So anyone else who is also interested in a commission just needs to give a look at my pricelist here as usual: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30007563/
If you then have an idea you'd want to see drawn and some of my options seem to be your thing, just hit me up with an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com so we can start discussing everything.
In other subjects, The fact I'm keeping time to tackle more art has also meant I've found time for more personal art as well, as you can see by the recent "Ruling Lady of the Court" upload.
In fact, I've also got two more currently up on my Patreon's Early Access, which will be respectively uploaded here on July 13 and July 16 so here is something to look forward to!
If you do want to see them immediately though, you can access them at my 5$ pledge level immediately at these links:
Prayer to the Goddess Moon(public on July 13): https://www.patreon.com/posts/early.....ss-to-28180269
Throne room of the Werewolf Queen(public on July 16):https://www.patreon.com/posts/early-access-of-28235844
Overall, things have been very productive as of late and I'm grateful for everyone's continued support. I've made a lot of progress in what I want out of my art in term of styles, research and more and in no ways do I want to stop now. So I have to offer everyone my thanks again.
Sincerely, thank you for making this all possible and I hope I can only further create more of the content that you enjoy.

Throne room of the Werewolf Queen(public on July 16):https://www.patreon.com/posts/early-access-of-28235844

2019-06-10 - Commission status and life update
General | Posted 7 years agoHello everyone! As you can see I just uploaded a new commission to my gallery, a werewolf color drawing for
Witchfiend. It was my first time working with them, but ultimately it proved a most enjoyable project to work on.
Thus, things are going mostly okay even though I am still recovering from a recent spat with illness which led to delay in the artwork.
As for commissions proper, I still have one color image for
Fenchurch as well as a three-pages inked sequence left to work on for another client. This said, I am still open to taking more work so anyone interested just need to send me an email(at fringecrow@gmail.com as per usual).
To be honest, the unability to easily do art this last month has caused a bit of an income drop for me. As a result, now that I'm able to draw in more dedicated fashion again, I'm actually looking to build myself a bit of a queue of work to try and make up for all the lost time.
All of this said, I thank you all for your continued support and enjoyment of my work! Until next time!

2019-06-10 Back to artwork and open for commissions
General | Posted 7 years agoHello folks! Some have seen the prices/opening image upload already but I'm also writing this journal for those of you who prefer the longer written form.
The last couple of weeks were hard due to wrist/hand/carpal tunnel pain suffered last month grounding me from making art for weeks. Thanks to rest and exercise both however, I'm finally back to drawing on a more regular schedule again.
I'm still not entirely out of the wood yet(I'm notably experiencing some soreness today) but at least I've made enough progress to actually be able to hold a pencil again and hammer out a fair amount of artwork as long as I pace myself properly.
So to take it easy I'll be starting with three* commissions slot for inks and color inked commissions exclusively for the time being. Anyone interested just need to hit me up with an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com !
*(perhaps a fourth, depending on the status update regarding a commission request from last month when I was dealing with my hand pains)
Just recall that in this case, it's definitely first come and first served! Though I will update the slots' status below at the bottom of this post accordingly however as soon as the first commissions requests are confirmed upon so no one is ever left in limbo as to what is still open or not!

Quick update, still recovering
General | Posted 7 years agoJust a quick update. Continuing to rest a bit, perhaps even more dedicatedly than before, but recovering seem to be starting even if a bit slowly? To a degree I think I'd underestimated the extent to which I'd strained my hand so I'm currently trying to take it extra easy.
On the good side I'm *starting* to be able to make art again a bit. Nonetheless I want to avoid a relapse so I'm keeping off OpenCanvas and digital art for now and trying to avoid intensive sketching(and fineliner inking in particular) for a bit still. However I've dusted off my bristles-based brushpen(a Kuretake and Pentel) again and started practicing this again as it has proved a way to keep "active" at less strain than other mediums. Ordered a lot of supplies to make sure I don't run out of either ink or paper in case recovery takes longer.
In the meanwhile I'm trying to book a meeting with my doctor. These things take time here so I might be well on the way to healing when I meet her but by this point I feel the meeting would still be useful even if just to discuss future prevention and exercises to lessen the chances of a relapse.
In the meanwhile, thank you for your continued support throughout this and I really hope to be able to create art again soon for you all to enjoy again.

2019-05-27: Life update, dentist
General | Posted 7 years agoJust a short update for this Monday but I've just returned from the dentist today and I'm now two wisdom teeth lighter. As a result I might take the next 1-3 days off to rest though I intend to resume commission work afterward. With the recent inked piece, my queue is empty again so if you want anything it's a good time to book it in advance!
----

2019-05-20: Recent commissions and open for more
General | Posted 7 years agoHello everyone! I just uploaded a new personal piece on my galleries now that it's out of my Patreon's early access. As you can see, I also recently completed a bunch of commissions including, in particular, a pair of sequences(3 steps and a before/after) just last week! This said, this has now left my queue empty so if you want to get anything from me now's the time. :)
All in all, last week was pretty productive even in spite of arm/wrist pains. The phyrexian and Mermay sequence were both very fun projects to work on and made me definitely looking to do more. I still have some light hand pains but they're already fading thanks to how I paced production last week so I'm taking this monday off to get closer to a full recovery specifically to be able to tackle more the rest of this week.
In fact I already have some personal artwork projects to make sure I don't idle away should there is a lack of commissions this week. I even already have a new female werewolf piece up on my Patreon( https://www.patreon.com/posts/early.....ccess-26955976 ) for 5$ patrons that should become available here as well around the next weekend :)
In the meanwhile, I hope you all enjoy the recent batch of artwork and want to add you will also enjoy all the future artwork as I give you my thanks to everyone who have and is supporting my work so far!
----

2019-05-08: Updates, commissions open
General | Posted 7 years agoAs usual, a new update for a new month.
With how business has slowed down there, I think it's fairly safe to say my technical drafting contract has "officially" ended last month. This has left me with less income but more time to produce art. As you can see by recent uploads, I've thus done my best to keep busy with both upcoming personal art and the recently posted commission work, the later going to be very useful with upcoming dentist costs that might stretch across the year(and specifically wisdom teeth extractions this month).
In fact as I'm typing this I have a before/after set of TFs to work on today still but after that my queue is empty. If there was any time you ever wanted to get anything from me, now's the chance! As usual, just give my pricelist in my gallery look and hit me up with an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com !

Slow week, open for commissions!
General | Posted 7 years agoIt's actually a slow week work wise as I'm still waiting for a call to know if I'll be working at the drafting job tomorrow(by most appearances, it looks like I won't be). As a result, I'm actually looking for commissions to work on at the moment being. As with the recent post in my gallery, I'm specifically opening for inks and digital flat colors commissions this week, both being something I want to develop further.
If any of this might interest you, do send me an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com !

State of the Crow-April 2019
General | Posted 7 years agoHello everyone, it's been a bit! Well, not too much but it's still been a month since the last update. I hope you are all doing okay!
On my end, things aren't too bad as I hope you can see! For what concerns bad news, the place where I work my dayjob as a part-time technical drafter has recently experienced slowdowns in term of work load coming from clients. This has thus meant less work hours for me. Art-side however, I've begun using the added free time to try and polish my abilities and allow myself some personal explorations(the recent commission for Onom/GibbsGryph being one of my first public example of this).
I also noticed that after last month's journal update, I've actually let myself go a bit in my resolution to try and make available my work and updates in both french and english. I've thus gone over some of the more recent uploads to appropriately add the french version of their descriptions as well. I hope the delay didn't bother you much!
Commissions-wise, I have a potential sequence in production but as it remains a potentially large project to be spread over a potential longer period, I'm still open for more business! If that interests you, just give my pricelist a look and send me an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com !

State of the Crow-March 2019
General | Posted 7 years agoHello everyone! Just a bit of a status update to start the new month and one of my first french/english posts in a while!
I'm bringing a couple of subtle and less subtle changes to my Patreon. The core change however will be switching from the "complete exclusive access" model I'd slipped into over the years roughly "back" to more of an "early access" model for major pieces that I will make. What I have in mind is a two-weeks periods of early access on Patreon before publicly uploading on other galleries.
Meanwhile patrons will still keep exclusive access to WIPs, many warmups as well as a lot of concepts/process types such as speedpaint video. Note that a lot of "promotional" pieces for projects such as "Le Beau et la Bête"(a project I will likely talk about more soon on my Twitter) will very much be "public" works though Patrons may well still have exclusive access to the WIPs leading to these piece.
-Commissions
I'm still open for commissions! If you want anything, just hit me up at fringecrow[at]gmail.com and we will start discussing your request, pricing and scheduling.

Image descriptions edited with proper pricelist link. Oops!
General | Posted 7 years agoBit of a major oops I only just realized now but my current default descriptions when uploading new images was still linking to the old (now unexistant) commissions pricelist in the links section of said descriptions.
I've thus now fixed said link in my default template when uploading and edited the descriptions of all images in the first page of my gallery for now. As this take time I might slowly edit the links in older pictures's descriptions as well but for now all future picture should include the default template.
As a reminder, you can now find my new pricelist Here!

Commissions prices update for 2019.
General | Posted 7 years agoFirst of all, happy 2019 everyone! May it be a good year.
All of this said, having discussed with many different people and realizing how little my prices changed in two years despite how I changed various things over time, I've decided to hike my rates for the new years(whilst leaving myself the possibility to tweak them as time go). This will be my first hike in a while so I wanted to write this journal post(as well as similar writtn updates in other venues) to make sure as many people as possible would be informed of the new hikes.
Among changes will be a return of more traditional inked works including digital color/shading for such, and a subtantial hike to digital paintings. At the same time, standard sketches are removed from the public pricelist while I review my process for sketch-style works though private agreements may be achieved on a case-by-case basis until a formal price is decided. The reason for this temporary decision is that my previous sketch level works would actually take me almost as much time than inked pieces if not more(and thus were probably underpriced/over-rendered for their pricerate).
Note that the new pricelist might be due to fluctuate as the year progress and I further adjust based on effort/time required to make pieces to find something closer to the actual effort going in this artwork, so updates to price might be possibly 4-8 months from now.
This said, you can now find the new pricelist HERE
And with that, my commissions status if officially OPEN. Feel free to hit me up with an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com !
Or should you wishes to support me in other ways, you can always consider making a pledge on my Patreon !

State of the Crow, December 2018
General | Posted 7 years agoFirst of all, I wish everyone here who follow my work awesome holidays and a soon happy new year! Without your support, I don't know where I'd be.
Now, time to kick off some two months of cobwebs!
To be honest I've been much less active here than I'd have liked. Granted a case of "Surprise, we'd have a new job for you!" in the form of new (and decently paying!) employment might not have "helped" but it's not entirely an excuse.
Nonetheless it represented a major change to a routine I was getting used to a degree over the years now, and I now realized there's been a couple of critical areas where I often tried to overcompensate for it on my days off, leading to nasty cases of extreme procrastinations(by my personal standards) which I kept trying to blame on many things though a large cause was, in part, myself. I've finally had some time today to try to better reflect on it so now that I have(thanks to the nature of the job) some holidays vacations to think things through, I hope to be able to correct my aim so that 2019 can hopefully start on a much better note than 2018 was starting to head to if I didn't do something now.
One of the major(potentially temporary) changes I did now was to leave a couple of social medias that I overextended myself upon, often at the cost of time I could have better spent not just on art... but even just on relaxing better during my periods of rest proper. That's the easy part, of course. Harder will be trying to fix my sleep schedule, as I began to notices the way I'd frequently badly overcompensate the strict sleep schedules of my work days with foregoing sleep until absurdly late the very days after the end of my week's work days.
That had the ruinous effect of screwing up my sleep schedules on the days I do have off and thus the ones where I *would* have time for art but thus never had the energy to. As it was standing, I was regularly undersleeping from going to bed later than even the latest I would normally go before even starting that job.
Hopefully, by the time my vacations will be over I should have this under control again and start having a more stable output of art again as well.

General | Posted 7 years ago*Dust Off Journal*
Hello folks! It's been a while since the last journals, hasn't it?
Thankfully, things have been doing well on my end as you might attests from uploads that continued during that period. To put it simply, that "Posted by Postybirb" has been quite a godsend when it came to managing my multiple galleries, I will heartily admit. It's a small app that allows one to crosspost both artwork and even journals(as I'm now doing for all of my FA, Tumblr and Weasyl at the same time as I'm typing this!) over multiple websites, even supporting a selection of up to dozen different sites.
Technically there's even an option to schedules posts in advances though I've not used it as much since the app does kind of need to be open at the scheduled hour for the posting to happen ^^; .
Nevertheless, it's been quite the quality of life tool to keep my galleries updated in a seamless fashion while I can(and do) still easily check on messages and new notifications by visiting the sites themselves and directly replying to comments there.
As you can see I've still been busy with artwork and, as you might also soon see, been pretty busy with inktober this month not even missing a single prompts yet as my suscribers on Patreon can attest!
And as will be soon shown, I even have a new commission sequence cooking up that will likely be of interest to people watching my works, starting this month and normally finishing with a final image in December proper!
Talking of commissions too, I have another thing cooking up that should hopefully (soon) see me releasing new options alongside a new Pricelist to boot, something I hope to be able to work on this weekend. This one will be a full on courtesy of the work and practices I've been able to garner during this very inktober, for an hint ;)
Likely before the new pricelist is released however I will most certainly be having a new upload giving a clearer indication of things to come, something which I hope you folks will enjoy.
All of this said, I want to thank everyone who keeps watching and supporting my work so that I can continue doing this :)
And with no further ado...
Interested in supporting my work or just seeing some exclusive pieces? Then do consider giving my commissions pricelist a look or supporting me on Patreon or Ko-Fi. I also have an Itch.io account where artbooks will be released!

August: Open for commissions!
General | Posted 7 years agoNew month new updates!
So far things have been a bit eventful last month with my tablet failing on me. Thankfully warranty allowed it to be replaced very promptly. Still lost some time to the hassle but things are back in order now. This said, having completed a couple of commissions since I can now officially state I'm open for commissions again!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28267082/
As usual the process is very simple. If you have an idea you'd like to see illustrated send me an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com and we'll discuss your commission there and then be it a sequence paced over multiple months or a single image!

Night of the Weredook complete & open for more commissions!
General | Posted 7 years ago"Night of the Weredooks", a 8 page transformation sequence I did for
Lightningfire that I started with the first two pages in April is now complete!
You can find the start of the sequence in the link below here, and all images of the sequences have seen their description updated with links to all of the other related pages: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27197340/
Now, as I frequently says I *am* always open for commissions but, with the completion of this sequence, I am now more than that as my commission queue is basically flat-out empty! So if you want anything done quick, now is the best time to commission it!
You can find my pricelist at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23060141/ but to keep things simpler my pricing is as follow: 25$USD for sketches, 50$USD for inks and 85$USD for digital painting. Should anything interest you, just hit me up with an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com ! It's the best place to discuss the details of a commission/payments and for me to share the work-in-progress prior to accepting any payments!
As seen with the recently completed Night of the Weredooks I also accept transformation sequences again!
The only simple condition I put forward is that larger sequences be spread over multiple months, at a pace of up to three images/months.
This better allow me to handle my queue and workload, allowing no single works to hold the queue down for too long, and to make it more manageable for clients by spreading the cost of a larger sequences into smaller chunks spread across those months instead of a massive expenses paid in a single month.
Again, for anyone interested in a sequence sending my an email at fringecrow[at]gmail.com is the best option for communication as it allows me with greater freedom to discuss details of a commission and sharing WIPs than FA notes allow.

Overhauling my Patreon
General | Posted 8 years agoIt's something I'd been musing since a while, but I will be starting to overhaul my Patreon starting next month. Chiefly, I will be removing the sketch commission category from my Patreon proper, and thus erase the artificial distinction between sketch commissions from my patreon and sketch commissions from everywhere else.
The change in a simple one, but one which I hope the impact will be beneficial overhaul.
On my public galleries, this will thus mean more energy to post and advertise commissions proper, instead of contacting a select set of patrons every month to asks for the subject of the month.
This should thus help seeing more sustained activity on my galleries here rather than the semi-monthly "surges" that otherwise generally happens because of the time conflicts between Patreon works and commissions.
On my Patreon itself, I will thus be able to more properly focus again on the personal artworks, warmups and experiments that I originally created my Patreon for, which might be expanded upon with more dedicated projects such as artbooks in the style of Knick-Knacks(that was made possible thanks to artwork originally primarily created for my Patreon). As a bonus patrons could likely also get exclusive access to work-in-progress shots of ongoing commissions and the like, as a way of synergizing both commissions and my Patreon rather than see them exclusively in opposition to each others.
My goals for now are thus:
A) To start more formally and frequently take and produces commissions again.
and
B)Finally redevelop my Patreon as the avenue for personal projects and artwork experiments that I originally wanted it to be.

First artbook and itch.io store is out!
General | Posted 8 years agoAs the latest upload shows, I've just release my very first artbook, Knick-Knacks!
This was something I wanted to make since a long while. It didn't happen exactly in the ways I'd originally planned it to be, but I am nonetheless glad that this is out nonetheless and welcomed the experience of working with Itch for the first time. Knick-Knacks itself is an assorted collection of works and experiments of mines previously exclusive to my Patreon that goes from the genre of Fantasy characters and landscapes to digital painting of werewolves savages and suggestives, even including an exclusive painting of a werewolf goddess and her followers. It's a decently sized collections of 26 separate illustrations done over a period going from 2016 to 2018 and thus represent a lot of the works and different interests I developed over the years.
I sincerely hope you folks will dig the work and if it interests you, you can get it here for only 5$ !: https://fringecrow.itch.io/knick-knacks

Major Announcement coming tomorow
General | Posted 8 years agoJust a head's up to warn everyone who follows me that there's a major announcement coming up tomorrow! I think it's something a lot of people here will enjoy so keep an eye out for updates!
Taking Sequences Commissions again(but see below)
General | Posted 8 years agoA simple end of the month update, but things continue being busy and good(especially with a new commission I will soon upload next week). I've recently begun a large commissioned project that I cannot post anything about until well into the next year, but it's nonetheless allowed me for an interesting experiment which gave me the confidence to make this announcement:
Starting today, I will be taking TF sequences commissions again, though with a small condition.
While currently I would only accept before/after deals or similar ones, this condition basically allows me to tackle larger sequences again. This said, the condition is a simple one: For each sequence commissions, I will only work at a rate of 2 images per month.
Basically the way this work is a 3 or 4 pages sequence would see me producing 2 images on the current month, and then produces the 1-2 remaining pages the following month.
The reason behind this is very simple; it allows me to pace my work and also leave me the ability to tackle different projects at once in a single month, while preventing any single "larger" project from dominating all of my production for a whole month that would still leave the following month uncertain.
It also means that by pacing payments over multiple months rather than all at once, it would leave it more manageable for clients from a finance standpoint.
Tentatively, because of that structure, I might thus also be able to work on more than a single sequential work; making it easier for me to take on the work of multiple sequence clients by leaving me more time to work on different projects during the month(compared to the past where a single sequence client could dominate all of my production for a month, such that I sometime had to decline other clients until I was done).
You can find my current and up-to-date commissions information HERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23060141/

Some activity, YCH commissions
General | Posted 8 years agoSome limited return to activity but as people can see sometime ago I posted a compilation of recent works, commissions and patreom previews, as well as a recent YCH commission opening. I doubt I can say this might be a full return to activity but with a start of tackling some thorny issues for a more welcoming atmosphere here I've decided to try showing a bit more activity.
It is unlikely that I would post the entirety of the art I produce but in the future there might be more examples of digital painting commissions and similar work(including potential future personal pay projects) that I am particularly proud of, with a focus on the quality of the works I might post rather than the quantity as it has occasionally been in the past.
