I saw some docs Friday, switched a med, was doing ok, and then had another really bad night/morning with heart issues. The combination of old med withdrawal and new med adjustment, along with anxiety over all this is going to do a number on me for a bit. So instead of going in and out of the hospital, i'll be going to stay with some family that are qualified enough to help monitor me and get help if/when i need it (so, so, so much cheaper).

Long story short, i'm doing ok now. I probably suffer from a rare reaction to one of my bi-polar meds; will be working with my doc and a cardiologist on that soon.

But yeah, Monday night my heart rate went to 130-140 beats per minute. I waited an hour, thinking maybe just panic attack, but finally woke nesil to take me to the hospital. When i was admitted my heart was doing 157 bpm with 150/something blood pressure.

Immediately i got a bed and was hooked up to lotsa sensors, blood work, etc. Finally got an iv with some proper sedatives going. But till i was released (and just a couple hours ago), my heart rate was staying at over 100bpm.

Unfortunately, i'd been having this problem with this med for a couple years now. I used to just chalk it up to late night panic attacks, or my night meds settling in. But about a month and a half ago i found out my phone had a heart rate monitor built in(!) and had started to monitor that. And yup, half an hour to an hour after night meds my heart rate would spike (causing me to react in various panicky ways).

I'm hoping this hasn't caused much in the way of long term damage. I'm only 43 and in decent shape, good blood work, so paws crossed for what the rest of the doctors i'm about to see will be saying.

Later Wednesday I'll be putting up slots for sketchbook commissions to help us cover the bills. Please keep an eye out if you'd like to help support me and get some furry art on the side ^_^

So, I may be done with commissions for the year. I'm going to take some time to work on my own stuff, and i don't know how long/how much i'll be doing.

I basically want to do a portfolio/journal of the furs in my fantasy setting, fleshing out the details and stories of characters that i've been drawing for the past 26 odd years. I'm aiming for it to be a combination of full color and toned tan sketches with annotations to go along with them.

I almost never mention it for jinx reasons, but 's my birthday. I'm glad I've made it this long; the furry fandom has really come into the mainstream and it's a kick :3

We recently finished running through Malcolm in the Middle and 30 Rock, then LorR extended editions, and currently almost done with Archer.

For new stuff, watching the latest Legion (love the soundtrack and visuals) and (yeah i know) Final Space.

So the first half of last month i really pushed myself. We had a couple friends that we love stay over before and after FWA, and between that and the con i really leaned into one of my 'as needed' prescriptions. The exertion and withdraw has taken a few weeks to get over, but worth it for the rare chance to hang out and talk with peeps i had been wanting to for awhile.

There's also a lingering depression about feeling left behind in artistic growth and place in the fur fandom. I lost several years of development, and some of the medication i'm on (for aytpicial bi-polar) really stifles that.

The sudden worse stuff is with close family. Things seem to have settled down, so hopefully now there's a more peaceful environment to work on things.

But anyhow, nothing life-threatening, so fortunately life is going on. Thanks for all the support, and i'll try to get out of ghost mode soon.

It's been a really off month, and it just got even worse, so i need someone to have a good time in my place.

It was great to see everyfur that i got a chance to at FWA! I'm still recovering from the con, but damn it was worth it ^_^

So next week i plan to finish sketchbooks from the con i couldn't get to, and clear out my mailing queue.

I may open a couple slots after that, depending on how i feel.

But then i plan on taking myself back to formula, as it were. Hitting the sketchbook's sketchbook. I feel i'm only a few lines away from being a lot better, and i really wanna hit that next level, but it's going to take some grinding.

Yip yap y'all! :) It seems my head's been clearing up with the weather, so i'm setting down some goal posts for myself.

I have a few color pics to finish up, and then hopefully one backlogged sketch. I don't think i'll be taking in any more work until after the con.

I am going to try to have prints for sale this year, and i need to see about assembling a new cd addendum :) and i will definitely try to do sketchbooks as well!

My vertigo and tinnitus has been at a higher baseline this year, with harder spikes of suck really pushing me to panic attacks. It's been a bit difficult with commissions with so much fuzz in my head--i've been leaving out or messing up a detail or three. I'm trying to be calm about it, and figuring ways to lower these error rates. Thanks to my patrons for working through it with me!

Whew! Ok, made it through the last two weeks fine, all things went as well as they could have :)

I've finally settled back down enough to get back to arts and the like, so hopefully will wrap up this round of commissions soon.

Between health and family events, it's been a tiring last couple of months. Things such as shipping, correspondence, art, just fall to the side as i try to deal. But i'm out of the woods and have a clear calendar for the next two months, so i'm ramping back into gear!

I need to finish two sketches, and then i'll be ready to take in another round of sketchbook commissions. This time i plan to announce a day/time i'm opening slots, and this time it will be a ten slot round instead of five. And i'll probably introduce a cool-down of at least one round for previous patrons, just so other furs can have a shot.

I posted a pic a little while ago of sounding, and i've realized through conversations that some things really need to be paid attention to!

First, never use glass! It may be smooth on the outside, but it is jagged and full of razors on the inside. If that breaks inside you, it can not only slice open your urethra, but poke through your flesh. You do not want that! That comes with blood everywhere, an ambulance, much surgery, and a long term (weeks to months) catheter.

Do use: stainless steel, silicone. There are toys made specifically for the purpose of safe sounding. Hell, you can get them from amazon even!

But even with these toys, be careful! Don't go too deep, and don't force keeping it in. The urethra lining is only so strong, and toys played with too stongly can still cause tearing, bleeding, er trips, and long term catheter use.

And no matter the injury, sexual or otherwise, don't hesitate to call an ambulance if needed! Your life is more important that your pride; power through it and carry on!!
