Posted 17 years agoMan. I'm away for the net for only, like, twenty million years, and this many submissions pile up?? I'll have to make it my part-time job to catch up, but dammit, that rocks so much that y'all are putting all that out there :)

Wheee..!
Posted 17 years agoDropped of the radar for awhile there. Anyhow, back :)
Thanks so much for the folk who put bids down on my last auctions. The support really helped put me back on an even keel again :)
Speaking of which, I was going through one of my closests and found my big box o' markers! Finally. Time to get some stuff done :)
Also! I'll be at AC!!!!
I won't have a table or anything, so I'll be wandering around in a faint daze o' freedom. Still, I'll most likely be taking the sketchbook or few from folk that run into me. :)

Halps! (auctions)
Posted 17 years agoI have a couple other commissions in the wings, but I'm needing one last push to get and keep my bank account out of the red (which is as red a m'fur *^_^* ) To that end, I've just put up two commission slots: one for an inked work, one for a colored.
Inked: http://www.fureauction.com/item_51243.html
Colored: http://www.fureauction.com/item_51241.html
Thanks <3 :)

Seriously?
Posted 17 years agoI'm a little surprised at the reaction my last post received. It's no revelation to me that you guys rule.
Sure, I'd continue to do my art if just for myself, as I enjoy it. But having a community to share it with is so much more rewarding. And it's not just any community.. it's YOU GUYS. The furry community tends to be so much more vibrant and in open touch with their feelings (such as animal lust, mrrrr) that it's a pleasure to be involved and to meet and greet everyone.
So keep on doing what yer doing, and know that it's greatly appreciated :)

My life, so far...
Posted 17 years agoA general update to let people know what's been happening in my life these last few years...
Where to begin? I was living in the bay area of California, in the Fremont/Newark area south of Oakland, with my mate at the time, Tursi. Our relationship at the time, however, was causing me too much personal pain, so I split up with him before feelings got hurt too much, and we could remain friends. He was kind enough to let me rent room space while I tried to figure out what to do.
I bounced from a job at Shutterfly to a privately owned print shop. However, due to the high stress of the job, and the state of my personal life, things quickly went downhill. I was considering moving back to my home state of GA, but really wasn't sure that my skills could be put to work in Bumblefuck, USA. That, combined with a relationship I was getting into with someone else in the area, slowed my desire to move.
Browsing Craigslist one day, I found a position that seemed perfect. I applied, and was flown out for an interview. When I got back and resumed work, I came back from lunch to find lots of things erased from my personal laptop. The production manager had found out I was sniffing around at other places, and got on my computer while I was out to delete 'company' things. Needless to say, I walked out that day.
Fortunetly, a couple days later I was called back by the GA company, saying that I was hired. They also covered moving expensives, but needed me asap, as they needed me to get their new digital print division up and running. So within a week, I was packed up, and left, waving goodbye to Tursi and Marjan (who was visiting at the time).
Once in GA, I got to work on settling in, and getting work going. The division I headed was a $4mil digital offset press division, and not only did I have to get the 4 presses up in time, but to integrate and solve file/production issues, set up supporting bindery equipment, safety/recycling, and training.
I got it done, and got through the Q4 season. Unfortunetly, I had been moved to a middle management position. All my experience had been on the technical side of matters, and I was rather adrift and lost in that position. So, last summer, I was fired.
The good thing was that Nesil had moved in with me a few months before (which necessitated another move to a lager apartment, but no big). I had been thinking about asking him to move in with me for awhile, but didn't want to pull him from his life in FL. So I was really really happy when he asked if he could move in with me.
Although I wasn't worried for a job (I got two offers within as many days after I was let go), with everything I'd been through, it was a real life saver to have him with me.
So, yeah. Within the last few years I'm on my third job, broke up with someone I had a fiery love for, moved away from all my close friends in the bay, lived a long time alone in GA, and a few other things here and there. It's taken me awhile, but I'm finally working back up to, you know, feel feeling again, which really helps in doing arts.
Man, that took forever! Sorry to bore you all :)

Wow...
Posted 17 years agoThanks so much for the warm welcome guys! Honestly, I had no idea I was really missed; my thinking is that there are so many recent amazing artists in the fandom that there was nothing left for me to do. I forgot, however, the main reason I got into it in the first place: FUN! And there's always plenty of that.
I dunno that I'll ever get back to the prolific output that I enjoyed before, and I'm not going to stress over it. There's work that I owe folk, and work that I owe myself, and that's most of what I'm concerned about in that respect.
My main interest now a days is in encouraging budding artists (seriously, all you guys rawk!), and in enjoying all the amazing things happening in the fandom
Take care :)

Posted 17 years agoSo. I've been, like, majorly withdrawn from pretty much everything for awhile. Insert sob story here, and such. Anyhow, I'm kinda working my way back in, and at the encouragement of others, started posting to here. I'll see how it goes; I pretty much mean to chill and stay low key, and hope to enjoy it here :)
