So I guess this is the part of the journal where I tell everyone how shocked and amazed I am. I hadn't really been paying attention to the number of watchers and... well, damn. I mean, Thank you all for just clicking +watch. ^^

So I don't... have the best social skills because I tend to go straight to business. Like I'm already doing. First off, I want to report how my previous year has been and, if the world doesn't end Friday, set up new goals for next year. I've been... less then active as of late because it's the busy season. And stress. But that second thing is my own problem. I'm also doing some other more frequent updates, or at least I plan to.

Alright, first up: How has your year been? Assuming that the world isn't going to end on Friday, I think it's safe to assume this journal will survive a little while. Although the updating did kind of stopped halfway through, I can assure you that at least one of the goals was completed. This was my first year with 5 goals so I wasn't expected all that much.

I've commissioned more then 12 pieces this year. I was merely aiming for a piece a month. Got more then I needed. Now, to reupload them all with less then clean stories. Streaming was not really one of my strong suits this year as I rarely had time to actually sit and draw what I wanted. It bugs me too because I tend to have a poor memory. I write down words and unless I really concentrate, I can't remember what kind of picture or short story I was thinking. So I've changed up on how to update on that front.

The self lesson challenge was a bust as, again, I didn't really have time to draw. The same could be said of the IMF comic pages and unfortunately, I finished the comic. So a bit sad, but... well, let's move on.

I've noticed that in my previous artwork, I have been in a rut, mostly drawing Canid. Wolves, Foxes. A few cats managed to sneak their way in. It's been the faces that have been bugging me. So I've resolved to create a cast. I got to thinking what I could do to make this band of furries? So, This year I plan to draw a sort of mascot for each continent. In this case, the 7 major continents: Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Antarctic, and Australia. This also means I cannot use any previous characters from friends or ones that I've already made, or the ones I'm working on.

The other goals are a bit tweaked from last year. I'll be writing a stand alone journal sometime before the end of the year, but in a nutshell, 7 Cast members, 12 illustrated stories, 12 unique artist commissions, AC 2013, and possible a personal milestone.

So... This "more frequent way to update". So, I have a twitter account and it's set to private. So you're probably wondering why I'm telling you this. Well, my twitter does accept viewship, but from furs only. And account is connected to my tumblr account. Tumblr is basically a blogging site. So I can write however much I'd like with no text limits, (As far as I know) including stories.

So It'd thought I'd write another one of these purely because I can! Well... more like an information posting. WELL... more like... a bookmark in what's been going on. Recently.

So, where to begin. Well, let's start with why I haven't been updating. October 17th, 2011, I got a job, seasonal, as a warehouse picker. One of those peeps where if you order something online, I walk around a big ass building with a pull sheet, grab the stuff, put it on a cart, and give it to the packers who send you your things... maybe not in once piece. I got moved at the end of December to a Return Clerk and have been man handling all your greased up used pants, and our poor quality packing job ever since. It's been an 8AM ~ 4:30 PM job and several weeks out of the year, I WAS LEFT TO PROCESS THEM ON MY OWN. A polite metaphor would be 10 quarts of crap being dumped in an 6 quart bucket. So, disappointingly, the last thing I want to do is come home and draw. I've been coming home, trying to find a game that I would enjoy to play, giving up, and reading or watching Doctor Who. (Did you guys see aggro's commission by the way? No, wait... off topic.)

So, um... right, where was I? Oh yeah, I've also had to prepare for moving. I was originally hoping to save money to go to anthrocon and maybe back to school, cheap on neither front. Unfortunately. That hasn't gone well either. I've been living with my dad because... well, I got screwed out of the house by my step mother. Shut up, I am blaming her. I would have at least finished school and gotten a job if she didn't drive everyone she met over a cliff. I got not metaphor for her. So I've been picking up the pieces since I moved back in and it hasn't been too easy. This was the first year everything's gone right.

Anyways, the house situation. My dad works at Verizon Business (Three divisions, Business, Wireless, Telecom) and he recently got a notice or a RIF. So in a few weeks, my dad won't be working there anymore. The house we're living in, the house itself is paid up through May... I think. So If my dad can't find a job to sustain the house (I know how selfish this sounds, but I'm still paying rent. Brother too.) We'll probably downsize. If that happens, I might relocate. First world problems, but I don't care. It's been bugging me that the only people who knew was family, co-workers, and my... my uh... boyfriends... 2/3 of them anyways.

Reason for not drawing. Check. RIF and Relocation. Check. Oh, right! So the final piece I wanted to discuss, was even though it sounded like I've been extremely lazy lately, I actually haven't. I've been writing. Some of you may have noticed artwork still popping up and I've been asking other artist if I could repost with their permission. I think all of them have gave me the green light. But really, who doesn't like reading a good story to go with those pictures. So I've actually been using office apps on my phone to create little scenarios and what not to go with the stories. Like Ota's "plugged" picture. or Aggro's "TF Red Panda" picture. So I'm hoping to get stories done and posted around December, I'm going to loath the next month of work. >_>

A few things happened today: Guild Wars 2 was supposed to be released today but got pushed back, Ghost Recon Future Solider was released, The funny thing about a "Gay Oreo" was posted on twitter, and... oh yeah. Shit hit the fan.

So, allow me to vent a little and explain why. Some goddamn mother fucker started a fire the Saturday PRIOR to this week. For those counting back, that's 6.23.2012. The Waldo Canyon Fire started up and it did not help because the mountain range in the way. Let's see... yeah, here's the picture. Picture Link. If I did that right, you should see the smoke. That was day ONE. Stats, 150 Acres, 0% containment. While this was going on, they were finishing up another fire. It wasn't until 4 to 6 hours later they took some people off of this other fire before they started working on this one.

Fast forward to this evening. 5100 acres, 5% containment. No, that wasn't a typo. This was not welcoming either. Picture Link, this was taken from... for lack of imagination and under some stress, a neighbors roof, pissing distance from my porch. literally. I could unzip and thanks to the direction of the wind, pee in that direction and hit it. But I'm getting off topic.

I currently don't have links for anything to help. Look for the waldo fire if you see something. I've evaced my home and I'm working on a lappy that I'm glad I bought a few years back. I'll update this journal later.

[EDIT 6.27.2012]Thanks for those commenting and checking up. For those of you that are wondering, I pulled up the evac area this morning PDF link. Our house is they area right before ute valley park. It's not too hard to find the place, just south of vindicator, east of centennial, and west of rockrimmon. It's just south of the A in "Area". I got the idea to see if there's still power or a standing home in my neighborhood and decided to call every once in a while to see if I can get the answering machine. If I don't get it, I'm going to assume the worse (From "They cut the power" to "My house burned down")

[EDIT 6.28.2012] Just a quick update, I am optimistic about our home, though I feel for those that know that they lost theirs.

I've been checking on our home from day one by calling our house. News reports have said they've shut off power to areas west of where we live and so the fact that our phones ring is, in my opinion, a good sign. The fact that I get our answering machine is a great sign, but in no way a completely confirming fact that our house is still standing. Just reassuring. The news reported yesterday afternoon/last night that Obama is coming out the Colorado to give a speech and (in my opinion) give a little boost to his campaign. I hope I don't sound too... put off by this, but I could care less about politics.

The evac has been lifted on parts west of I-25. Unfortunately, the Ute Valley area is not one of them. Hoping tomorrow afternoon or Saturday at the latest, is when they let us back in. I'll asess this situation, take pics and post some more. In the mean time, I'm trying to keep my frustration under control as a certain little kid will not keep his hands off my things. I could be more welcoming but the past couple of days have been extremely stressful and an undisciplined kid is not something I currently wish to deal with.

[EDIT 6.29.2012] I regret to inform everyone, there has been one death because of this fire. No one related to use, but the mountian shadow area as suffered one loss, and one person missing. Tuesday evening we lost structures, Thursday evening we confirmed loss of life.

Just as a quick update, there is that loss of life, and on a political front, Obama is here in Colorado until 15:00 MDT (17:00 EST). I'm hoping that they will lift the ban on our area, and north of us today. I'll try and update later. I'm going to try and keep myself busy while doing post today. Sooo... if there's an art flood from my end, I apologize.

[EDIT 6.30.2012]Really, this is turning into a daily thing. So as of yesterday afternoon, the fire burned 17,073 acres, 25% contained, 2 confirmed dead, Over 1000 firefighters working this. Sunday. they are scheduling tours, not allowed off the bus, to "See" your home. You're unable to get off the bus to go into your home and grab anything. I'm guessing my evac will end sometime at the end of next week.

I'm sure my next journal after the waldo canyon fire will be more or less a rant about work... They've said that we might have to work weekends and we're already going to miss the 4th of july. Barbeeque sales and shit.

[EDIT 7.1.2012]I'm not sure if I've done this, but I'd like to say a few things.

1) I'd like to thank to thank the firefighters who were working north and east of waldo canyon to save 81% of the homes in this region. Although I heard about some of the methods used, I'm still very thankful and I really mean it.

2) I was curious if any local furs have been/are still displaced because of the fire. I double I will get a hit but if you live in the affected area or nearby, shout out on my journal. I'm curious if I'm the only fur this side of the rockies.

That said, I did a little recon yesterday afternoon. Sunburnt my right arm but, meh. I have a few good photos and when this journal sort of... dies out like every other journal, I'm going to be creating a photobucket album with EVERYTHING taken during the fire. Well... except two pics. I'll probably be posting that on fA. :3

[EDIT 7.5.2012] I should have updated this one last time but yeah. As of... Sunday night (7.1.2012 @ 20:00) we were allowed back home. At the same time, I checked my text messages saying that we'll be working usual time. Yesterday was the first day home that I got to RELAX and try out some of the games, draw some of the art, and whatnot.

There are some... new avenues that I wish to explore as far as art, but for now I need to catch up on what I've already got going. I also need to post some waaaaaaay overdue comms that I've gotten but haven't posted quiet yet. I dunno, I'm still trying to get my barrings right. Fire made me do some... interesting things.

I have been drawing, but I've been more of a dragon hoarding a pile of gold then someone who will randomly update just for the luls and attention. I've been horrible lazy when it comes to repost too. I'll eventually get to them. But I'm working on a contest pic and a few I've been wanting to try out so I can make my gallery smuttier. Nothing too fancy, just trying to improve upon my art. I really don't want to admit this... but I can't make it to AC2012 this year. I really wanted to get to the east coast and everything! I was gonna meet Taki and Maloo and Ash and everyone I've been meaning too. The money didn't even come close to airfair, hotel, transportation, and noms!

Part of the money was put to good use, however. I'm finally finishing my power house system for gaming... which means I can now play the other half of my steam library. First game I'll play will probably be Skyrim... just to test to see if it can handle it. Or maybe that old copy of Crysis that I'm sitting on.

Anyways, I'm also feeling really bad about what I might have to do with other projects like IMF. The story is too good to just destroy, but I haven't had time to do anything with it. I might need to take it down from the website just to keep working on it and not be such a big disappoint about it.

Yep. Going old school, just a tad. I'm not hipster, I'm not fashion forward, or a retro lover. I just want to blog it. Anyone remember Blogger before it was Google? I got one, and If you're looking to follow, that'd be great. It's by no means PROFESSIONAL and I'm not looking to profit (Apart from the projects that will arise from it). It's really meant for people who might love text and pics of how I do my art and whatnot. Basically, some offline stuff.

And what will that mean? I'm trying out more art stuff! In particular, I'm aiming to make a fur suit. Starting with partial and moving to complete, plus tips and ideas and improvements that I will learn along the way! It's a (Hopefully) weekly or fortnightly update and I'll only be streaming updates via RSS and my twitter.

Like I said, I'm creating a suit, but I'm also doing clay projects. In fact, I'm prototyping my suit for a better idea. I'm still playing around with the idea of a draw as well. Maybe make a model of someone else's fursona (Maybe a 6 inch model) and fully painted. I dunno, I gotta get a better feel for it. Anyways, talk is short! First post will be tomorrow, hopefully. So while I'm at work, I let out my inner furry side by reading a couple of books (Most of them from Amazon Kindle). A few of them I would really like to share with my readers. I'll try and update this journal once a month with books that I've read and I wouldn't mind reading some more. I already have an extensive list ahead of me and one or two I need to re-read for the sake of giving a proper review.

"Captive of the Red Vixen" by Royce Day
Length: Medium
Genre: Romance
Recommended: Age 16+
Score: 7/10
Review: This book was a good start for getting back into reading. (I hadn't read a book properly in a while). The plot develops well and continues with a few cliche twist and a lot of unexpected ones, with a sciences fiction twist of pirates and secret plans.

The story starts out with royalty, Lord Rolas, being boarded by the Scarlet Claw. In a negotiation to the Captain of the Scarlet Claw, Red Vixen, Lord Rolas trades himself for the lives of the crew as a willing hostage. His captivity to the Red Vixen is riddled with unusual features, including being in a comfortable cabin then the ships brig.

His captivity of the Red Vixen is merely half of the book, as the story continues. It finishes on a happy note, with two endings. One of the protagonist and one of the antagonist. Two of my favorite scenes in this book is the dream sequence between who Rolas is in love with and Coda One. The book does have some flaws, but it was worth the price and I would recommend getting it if you've got some free time to read it.

"Not for Rent" by Taki Kuroi
Length: Medium
Genre: Erotica
Recommended: Age 18~21+
Score: 9/10
Review: For those who don't know who Taki is, or what he writes, I recommend checking out his art page some time, or buying this book outright. The first chapter is the only clean one, and the title took me by surprise as my previous novel was cleaner then expected.

The book starts off as innocent as possible, with a girl named Melissa, a white feline cat who's belief is signing up for a charity for helping third world. She gets dropped off with her friend at the place she is to be checked up for medical reasons. However, her check up takes a turn for the worst and she wakes up in the strangest places. The story continues, each chapter showing new and different situations involving her "dilemma"

I must say that if you're not comfortable with erotica novels or reading this in a public location, I suggest you don't. Only share this with the company of friends who have the same interest as you. The fetishes include Bondage in the form of petplay and medical, Female on female transformation, pawplay, peircings, orgasm denial, oral, bleeding, anal... And brainwashing, as far as I can remember. My two favorite scenes take place in Chapter two between the Skunk with no name and Melissa and the beginning of the delivery process.

So I've not really had the urge to draw anything lately. It's been a shame because I wanted to improve my style. Maybe if I bought a little manikin or something.

I thought I'd break into the writing scene though. My first two pieces are a TF story and a... well. Series of chapters involving petplay and bondage. I hope it work out because the second one, I On't know how long it will or what it will show. But if all works outs (and you guys lke my stuff) I'll open up commissions soon.

To everyone else, a fun year coming up, eh? So to all that don't know, I've gone exactly 365 days WITHOUT a single soda. Goodie for me. This year though, I'm gonna try some... new stuff. Yeah, new stuff, new year, all that wonderful stuff.

So, from the top of the list to number 5, here are the things I want to do.

1. Do 52 streams in 2012. (So, like, a stream a week, probably on Saturdays or Sundays.) (+25 EXP)
REASON: I like to draw. I also like to prove it. I reinstalled livestream caster so I can start doing it too. I'll try and post when I will stream on fA and twitter

2. Go to Anthrocon 2012, see a few friends and... well... *blush* (+1k EXP)
REASON: I've... never been to a con. I want to try something new and I want to go see someone... That is all I'm saying and leaving it at that.

3. Post at least 12~20 new IMF comics. (Yes, I know that number is EXTREMELY low, but I hate to see a good story go to waste D: ) (+50 EXP)
REASON: I've been bad... very very bad with comic updates. It always seems like the same spot I've been stopping. So I just wanna hold a middle finger up to the challenge and say TAKE THAT!!!

4. If I post drawings or even sketch in my sketchbook, Add a lesson on how to improve. (+25 EXP)
REASON: I actually want to see if I can improve and venture out into new types of drawing (TF, TG, Petplay, etc.) But I also want to improve to get there. I got the idea from someone I watch on dA.

5. Buy 12~24 Comissions from Artist I watch and/or artist who watch me. (+50 EXP)
REASON: I got a job and I want to support other artist... I also want to show my shy side that is Ryan Fawks. :3

Well, this week is going to be an upside, and it all hinges on tomorrow. I mean, any way I look at it, It's going to be nice. I start building a new system, I have plenty of things to watch and read, AND my brand new spanking icon of submission and domination comes in... more commonly known as my collar.

I want to get back to drawing, so come Monday, if my seasonal position ends, I will find out if I;m going to be getting more money for commissioning other people, or if I should open up commission trial runs to see if I can earn a little something from doing art pieces for other furries.

So, this account is not only my active fA, but primary. Well, for now. dA subscript has run out and I no longer feel the need to update anything there. Not exactly the furry warmth that is here or inkbunny.

Anyways, I've got a job recently which means less time for work and more time for earning a living. It's only seasonal but I'm hoping to become full time. In the mean time, some of my earnings is going to commissions. That leaves me just enough time to announce this: I'm trying my hand at the written word. More specifically, I want to apply stories to my pictures. If you can't already tell from my gallery and favs, I have a sort of Kink for bondage, pet play, and most of all, Chasity. The feeling of being in denial is... er... well... I'll ne more descriptive in my stories.

But, I wish to do more commissioning and more back stories to each one. The "Waiting for Dinner" and "Ready for Submission" pictures are the first of a hopefully 5 chapter story. I'm also going to send out first drafts to a few people for things such as grammar, spelling, graphical description, and any other notes. I'm hoping to get the first draft done here soon, and if I'm more comfortable with my writing skills, I'll ask if any of you guys want a link to first draft copies for notes.

Anyways, that's the update for now. I'll post a journal later this month if anything else is updating.

So I got like... a holy hell of an amount of journals on dA and this is like, my 3rd journal entry here. I want to keep it simple and small here, maybe like 4 or 5 journals. Anyways, I'm keeping up with the comics, and looking for a job. It would be nice to have an income and I need to fix a few problems like i.o.u.'s and such. So right now, my only form of flexible income is now commish. Well... when I'm taking them anyways.

I'll also be fixxin' my FurAffinity page to show when I'm open to commish, trades, etc.

I figured its about time I start putting stuff on this account. Not going to be much but all the "odd" stuff should be here. Experimental stuff, if you catch my drift.

I've taken a more serious interest in postin' here. Particularly my current project titled "It's My Fur", plus some digital work. I'm also planning to do some live streaming as well, so I'll update new journals when I stream.

Right now I'm just settling in to updating and whatnot. I'm open to request, or trades, and I'll update my front page with info on commish later.
