Last journal I posted was last month. I'll try and keep these things regular then, shall I?

████Furry Fiesta 2015 (FF2015)
Post con wrap up. I had a relaxing weekend. I didn't work, I wasn't /TOO/ stressed, met some new people. I had my share of disappointments with the con but nothing to bring down to the 'scritch 'n' bitch' panel. Only thing(And this might not ever be fixed because scheduling is always a pain in the ass) was the Guest of Honor Luncheon fell on a Resin Mask panel. Everyone freaked out at the weather, to which I gotta say "bishplz". You might have freaked out your audience but a lot of flights were cancelled to less than an inch of ice. True, you're city is ill equipped to deal with it but you damn near scared off half the con Sunday around noon. Thankfully, next years con will take place March 18th-20th, with a Bayon Nights theme. Actually, I'm going to half to wait till D.R.A.M.A. updates their website because I can't find out what it is on google. I just get pictures of statues in Asia.

I got my swag on this con as well, I got a new badge from truebluefox. I'm hoping to get my scanner working because it's an awesome badge and people should totally commission her. I also managed to snatch up quiet a few more books. Mouseguard was the major haul this year. I finally got Baldwin the Brave, Winter 1152 (I still need to aquire Fall 1152), The Black Axe and Legend of the Guard. I also got the Roleplaying game as well and I hope to learn it. Finishing off books, I got Sabrina Online (The first 10 years, it looks like), and I was genuinely surprised to find a Wolf Children manga. Oh and the second volume from Peaches and Cream.

Let's see, what else. I also acquired some dragon artwork from Theresa Mather, and an absolutely adorable piece from Fablefire titled "Gems Are yummy". Also got a HTTYD piece with toothless chasing fishes from Sophiecabra. Last of my swag bundle was a fox hoodie from Lemonbrat along with two sleeves. ████ Commissions: Fact or Fiction?
I've always been saying "Oh, I'll take commissions. Eventually". I just feel absolutely bad taking money for that reason and it's why the word "Eventually", "Sometime" or "Soon" always comes at the end of that sentence. Well, I've decided I should at least try (I've got a few request to finish up first... that I took over a year ago). I did set up a commission page on fA tab when they first started but I never actually opened them up.

Two things though: Since my art is a bit of a niche thing, I'm still learning. I'm not big on realism but I still try my best to be anatomically correct. You've seen my submissions. I picked up some tricks from a Photoshop panel and I hope to use them to try it out before I officially open up. I really want to do badges so I need to get a lamination machine as well. I'm shopping around but if anyone has any suggestions or inputs let me know. I'd love to hear your advice.

████ Rocky Mountian Fur Con (RMFC)... or Something like that.
This one surprises a lot of people after they find out I'm a rocky mountian fur. I've never attended. Because it's so late in the year, I can't really get the time off which sucks. Since my company is doing some internal reconstruction, I'm going to take advantage of it and score this time off. I might be going stag, or I can try and find a room with someone. In case you might be wondering, I don't mind sharing a bed. I don't know why you'd be wondering that. I'm just throwing it out there.

Anyways, I'll post more info once this plot has been solidified. In the mean time, Yes, I plan on attending RMFC and hope to see ya'll there.

I'm not making any resolutions this year because I believe that even though the new years is a symbol for new beginnings it should not be the reason for change, but the inspiration instead. Everything I want to do that's new I've already been working on for the last few months. New drawings, learning techniques and languages, making people laugh, generally being optimistic in a pessimistic world.

Hope you all had a happy holidays and I hope you're looking forward to the new year as well. :D

It's not too commonly posted in the fandom willy nilly as far as I know. Some people ask for support either financially or mentally and people are there to help. Other times people won't say anything at all and they have their friends to help them out and talk to them, listen to them, make the problems seem a little less... big. problematic. impossible.

To all my watchers out there, I want to thank you for showing people that the furry community is more then what mass media makes it out to be. We are not weirdos or deviants. These are just the characteristics that make us unique and cool. We are an awesome community just like any other with the same interests and can share those interests though mediums as art, stories, and television.

Been trying all day to write this journal which I feel is going to be short, sweet and to the point.

████ Twenty Five
First off, thanks to all those who wished me a happy birthday last weekend. I was a bit preoccupied and even though I didn't make any plans to throw some big party for myself, still enjoyed it with my family. Sushi was supposed to be on the menu but my dad ended up working that day and my brother was feeling under the weather so not much was accomplished and I ended up just keeping my brother company. He didn't get me sick so that was a nice present.

████ Media
So I've been playing around with some software that I got a little while ago for video editing and I actually have a somewhat decent video recording program. If I felt dangerous, I'd format one of my drives and start doing lets plays out the ass, but in the mean time, I wanted to do time lapses of art pieces. Simplified, I should do a drawing of a drawing. Draw-ceptions! I don't know, probably not. Just chibi drawings or something just to get started.

████ Alive
The busy season is already on me, poor ignorant middle management thinks we still have a few weeks. I really do not wish to put up with this company for another season but as most other seasonal jobs have already been filled by now, there's not much else I can do so I'm going to ride this one out for another season. In the mean time I hope to keep drawing, even if I cannot accompany all my pictures with cute little fantasy stories.

████ Upcoming Events
I still have two sketches that I need to do and I'm not even sure if the people that asked for them still want them as the last time I did it was over a year ago. (I think. It was right before "Suite Comfort".) After I take care of them, I can probably go back to keeping my bearings thought the busy season.

I'll be saving up for my annual trip down south to TFF (Yes, I'm still going to call it that. Because it's in Texas), and going to knock out a few things that I should have done a while ago. So there might be a month or two where I am completely absent again.

So it seems over the past year I have received numerous faves and watches on artwork that was and wasn't mine and a few patterns for me emerged for me to work with. So with that, I do have to thank you all for just simply being there and I'm sorry if I haven't delivered in over the past year to fA, Weasyl or dA.

████ Status Update
Currently, I'm getting over a sinus infection that seemed to knock me out so hard that I didn't even want to goof off and game. It even caused me to break my nice chair when reaching for the thermometer, but that's first world problems.

Personally, I've been battling migraines and intermittent cases of depression that, from my own point of view, has made me an all out dick. The thought of being such an asshole has sort of given me headaches leading to migraines and more depression. a vicious cycle. So I'm trying to get organized again so that I don't feel quiet so bad by keeping myself busy. Apart from a string of preorders for the next few months to... er.... keep my optimism up, I also want to get back to drawing. I know I've probably said this a few journals in a row, but I really do want to draw.

Since our company is going into the busy season, I had an idea too. I might work myself ragged but whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, amirite? Wow, two cliches at once. Anyways, my job schedule is 8:00-16:30 with a half hour lunch, so I thought, while the Saturdays were mine, lets do something with it. If I can get a steady workflow going, I'll even start up request streams. The problem being most of my Saturdays are being distracted by other errands that I'm too polite to refuse. But I figured the same work schedule to work on whatever, it's a dedicated time for me to draw while I can.

████ Convention status
It really bummed me out that I only went to one con this year, but still, that's more then most I guess. Still, I didn't know if I could make it to Pitts for AC due to living arrangements which I sort of didn't help on planning out how that would go. I was hoping to make RMFC last weekend, but when I went to register a few weeks before hand they had closed reg. So I just decided not to go altogether. I had no money to attend that week, nor fuel, fewd or lodging. So Texas Furry Fiesta was the only thing I attended this year.

As for next year, I do plan on going to TFF2015 and I'm getting on making lodging and travel arrangements too. Any other cons? I'm not sure where I'll be in July but I do want to attempt to make AC next year.

████ Thoughts...
I just wanted to add this to the bottom of the journal. I need to get out of this dry spell rut of just gaming and I have a few ideas of what to draw, but if you guys have any suggestions let me know. I'd love to see the creativity you guys have. It doesn't specifically have to be my characters in your ideas, so I can have a list of request that I can work on any time I hit a wall in a picture.

I'm thinking my persona might go though a hybrid change soon too. If I get really creative, I'll add a back story.

So, I can't help but thank all the new watchers and faves. It's just absolutely surprising and astonishing that even with an inactive account... actually, hiatus account is more account, That I could still get followers and people who enjoy my art and stories that go along with it. I'm hoping over the summer I can finish some of the TF/Bondage stories to go along with my 1~2 year old commissions from awesome artist. >.>;;

I've still got only two sketch request to do as well (assuming the people who requested them still want them). In the mean time, because I'm sure it might be a while before the next update (I swear, I'm getting my stuff together), I wanted to tell everyone plans for the next few months.

I'm looking at moving out and it's still up in the air about where I'll go or what I'll do. I really don't know and I'm torn between staying at home and getting out. In short, it boils down to the money, honey. I don't know what I could possibly do, but I can't do what I need to on the income I have right now. Majorly because my current job is just absolutely going to hell in a hand basket since we got bought out by a major retail store that has to remained unnamed.

Hey, I completely skipped journals for the first two months of the year. So sue me X3

Anywho, this is the first journal of the new year which is usually where I post my resolutions and such. Well, not this year. Sounds a bit lazy, feels a bit depressing, I honestly can't think of new ones that I'd be willing to share. Sorry folks. ^^;

████ The Story Thus Far...
So, The story seems to repeat itself. From about mid to late October, my job picks up and my time in the furry community goes down to almost a nonexistent stage. I'm only left with IRC and Skype chats with friends, if even that. Well, this year was a lot worse, getting absolutely screwed every which angle, between customers and management. Only instead if Mid-October, it was early July. My only other coworker applied for a higher position and he was hired right before the weekend I left for Anthrocon. I was able to sneak in one more sketch request set before I was put on hiatus, due to being understaffed. By understaffed, I mean I was the only one in my department again, and no one was hired until Mid November (Which is when we are supposed to have a fully trained staff in all departments for the seasonal rush, even before night shift starts.)

I guess it's more of a rant at this point, but I'll sum it up as best as I can. Management sucks. In this case, this is the order. Understaffed, trained way too late in the season, finally have a full crew, got overlooked for department lead, overstaffed, and now just tired of the whole damn thing. First world problems, the only plusside is that I still have a job. Wondering when who's getting the axe because we're running out of work at this point. Even full times like myself aren't exactly safe. There is no such thing as job security these days.

████ Working on...
I've actually gotten back into drawing again, thanks to TFF2014. Few free sketch request were done and I wanted to get them scanned but my scanner is a bit outdated. I'll find a way to get them up. In the mean time, you can take a peek at them on my tumblr account @ http://ryanfawks.tumblr.com/ . I'm also going to get those few sketch request back out too. My tablet is still glitching a bit on me, dual monitors and it keeps saying that it's drawing on a 3200 x 900 resolution instead of 1600 x 900. I want to expand my art a bit as well, including starting to take extremely cheap commissions and stuff.

Apart from that, I'm working on becoming more independent as far as stuff in my personal life goes. Insurances, taxes, educations, yada yada yada. I do have plans but nothing is written in stone. As it is, I'm playing it by ear. I want to get a lot of this done before June or July as well.

████ Wrap it up.
Apart from that, there's not much else to report on. I want to thank all the new people for watching and I hope they like what they see in my gallery. Thanks for reading my rant/journal, hope to post one more before the end of the month. ^^;

P.P.S. Yay! I got Thursdays off again. What does that mean? Higher chance of being able to start up sketch request again!

Another year come and gone and still here, living. Well, not so much living but I got my health, my home, and when I have a minute, my work. And MY GOD, the number of followers. They've sort of trickled in one after the other and I can't stop thanking the lot of you that started watching me. You know, dispite my lack of updating.

As a bit of an annual tradition, I get to post resolutions, status updates, and shout outs to people. Well. The resolution thing might have to wait a bit, but I'm still brainstorming.

████ Sum Up...
Another year comes to a close and I've been working at the same internet store warehouse as I have for the past two years. Damn time flies by.

The pay is... decent. Ish. I mean, come on, it's not great but it's still an income. I've been growing toward the finalization that I need to change careers from my job to a computer linguistic. Well... the idea sort of changes but the general principle remains the same. C#, HTML, SQL, PHP, Basic, Basically a white collar pencil pushers job. But that's a few hurdles away. Still... It's there.

But that's the future, The past year as been... Exciting to say the least. At least, that's the word I use to sum it up. Let's see, January, nothing too exciting happened. As far as I know. I had two co-workers in my department so I couldn't complain. At least, I think I did. I have a bit of a poor memory for mundane details. February came and I got my official drivers license a week before I went down to Texas Furry Fiesta. By no means a small feat either, owing to the fact that I had just got my license, and two major snow storms blew through. With my luck, the day I left and the day I came back. I wound up sleeping in my car for a few hours just entering Texas, picking up a local residential cat, and on the afternoon leaving Texas to go back to Colorado. I learned two things: Travel by day with cash and make sure you schedule the day before and the day after you travel off. I mean, I drove the same day I worked... so I was fairly fried already.

Um... anyways, Texas Furry Fiesta was fun, but if I had to do one thing different, it's visit more panels. March: Nothing much, April, one of my coworkers got a promotion/transfer, May, Not too much, June pretty much flew by. I went to Pittsburgh, PA to AnthroCon. That was... A unique and costly experience as well. I must say, I was very glad I spent a few dollars more for the super sponser option. I spent a lot of time wandering really. I only visited a few panels, and tried my hand at dancing. I honestly did. Turns out this fox can't dance. At least not to rave, wubs, or techno in general. I'm a very... secluded fox who listens to a lot of rock anyways. Rise Against, The Offspring... I mean, there are a FEW Electronic songs I do love but I can't actually dance to any of them. I listen to music to usually get inspired or motivated usually.

Anyways, Anthrocon. I would have done a lot more but all I really did was visit the message board, The Zoo, TF panel, Gold's reading panel, Uncle Kage, Dance... and actually got to know a few people. Would I do it again? I'm still not 100% on that.

After AC2013, I came back and I knew one of my coworker was planning on getting transferred to another part of the company. I guess that's when things started to go downhill actually. I was the only person in my department so I had enough work to do by myself, but I got kind of screwed by the general manager for the warehouse. I wouldn't have taken it so rough if they had not done the exact same thing 12 months ago. August, not nearly as fun as I would have enjoyed, September, another year older, October, Just about ready to give the warehouse manager the middle finger and find another job.

Only last week did they decide to hire someone new. They get general training the first day and I get to help them the following week. My numbers fluctuate from extremely poor performance to normal quota during this time period. On the plus side since I'm helping someone else out to share the load, my numbers are allowed to go whichever way as long as I am helping. So the workload is no longer stressful to the point of destruction.

And to my knowledge, that's been the general year so far. I've only got Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to too, and I'm hoping the additional coworker's work will allow me to come home less stressed and actually get some work done.

I really do want to thank everyone who've watched me from my commissions through various artist, word of mouth, even people I've met. It's a sort of comfort for me to know that even if life sucks monkey balls, I still got a community of people like you. :3

Quiet a few of you, actually, I wouldn't mind getting to know. I know I've been... well... more or less a dick. Some PMs I've had to more or less ignore because... well... I'm the sort of person who's quiet. I'm only so quiet because... I tend to calculate exactly what to say. I don't want to burn bridges before I get to know someone.

Catching up is the jest of this journal. Real life has taken priority as management does the absolutely nothing to help at work. So before I get all depressive about any angle on life, let me break it down, shall I?

████General Art News
I haven't been able to get to do much in the way of art which is why I haven't posted news about sketch request since... shoot, July? Looks like a little after Anthrocon. This was because pretty much everything at work seemed to go downhill since then. I need to tell a little back story for you to understand, or at the very least, give you a more colorful read:

I've worked in the Returns Department at a culinary store that will not be disclosed in this journal. I believe up until April, there were three employees working in my department. Our company got bought out and joined with another website, both working under this new investor which I am not naming either. They had a strict HR policy about anyone who has had ANY felony, even if they were clean and off parole, had to be fired, no ifs ands or buts. Well, a few new positions opened up and both the co-workers who were working with me applied and got the positions (I applied for it too, but the over all management decided she liked fresh meat(This is not sexist, this is just my point of view)).

So from early July to present, my department has consisted of me and a package material handler that has been trained to help me. Between the two of us, I am barely getting ahead each day. I would not be so behind on work if I had not been called by an amazingly idiotic fool who somehow manages to get away with more BS then anyone in the company put together, to work in his department because he couldn't manage keeping his workers to come in and work (gosh, what a concept). He called me to work /HIS/ department for a week which, with no one in my department to work returns, has put me a week behind. Now my ass is getting ridden for being behind on returns. I wonder how that could have happened.

I'm ranting at this point because I honestly think this job is not worth the hassel, but as there's not much in the way of work, I'm going to ride this job for a bit longer. I'm going to eventually get back to school so I can apply for higher paying jobs at better companies that do not make you want to hang yourself from the pressure, just the other petty stuff in life.

Apologizes for that last comment, but it really is not worth what they pay me to stay there, they give the absolute minimal for raises as well.

████ Furry Update!
So, aside from being too tired to draw and aging another year, I'd like to update that I went to not one, but two cons this year, and living situation permitting, I'll try and attend some more next year. I'm already putting some money aside for Texas Furry Fiesta and I'll confirm it once I get the funds to stay at the hotel. As far as anthrocon goes... I'm not too sure. While it was amazing to visit the east coast again, there was little to no people I recognized or clicked with which made me feel like I was back in high school on the first day. Everyone seems to have a group of friends they recognized and it basically left me either stalking the Den, Artist Ally (Didn't even visit the art auctions), or just hanging out with the peeps I roomed with.

Even though next year is supposed to be a secret society theme, I have doubts on if I should show up. It's probably not worth the price of the flight. So I might keep it local and at least attend Rocky Mountian Fur Con (It's in my own back yard and AC made me too broke to visit!)

Anyways... I think that's a summery of what's been going on and a little bit of plans on what I want to do next year. In the mean time,I'll be watching awesome art pop up and hope to chat with ya'll sometime.

Still alive and kicking. I've been sidetracked from a few things and have pretty much ignored the sketch request from July. It wouldn't feel right for me to open a new batch until I get the last two pieces done. X3

Between my lack of self discipline and work, it's been hard to find time to do anything extra and that's not mentioning my upcoming living situation. It seems to be the same as last year at work where the two people who used to be in my department transferred out, so I'm a week behind in work (thanks to someone who doesn't really care about how much work gets piled on for us) and have been trying to catch up.

I'll get back to working on art when I can, hopefully sometime at the end of this month or start of the next. ^^

████ Sketch Request Question
I feel I'm going to salvage this journal or one of my previous sketch request journals prior to this journal for a Frequently Asked Questions journal. So if any of you have questions, feel free to ask me anytime, Not just when I post this journals.

ALSO! I wouldn't mind learning your kinks and fetishes! But if I just willy nilly draw you porn, I'm quiet sure a few artist I know might not appreciate that. I know a few artist make a living out of drawing your stuff. It was really the only second major reason why I'm drawing "moderate to mild themes". So in order to be fair, I might change the rule about Mild to moderate themes for FREE sketches only and $5 USD for Moderate to Mature theme'd pictures.

The one other thing I'd like to point out is that I've added two new rules in particular.

While I don't always have a fully active art site to rely on messages, I do have an E-mail account. It would be extremely useful and helpful if you provided an e-mail address IN A NOTE! I will not share personal information and I won't sign you up for a shit ton of porn sites. That would just be wrong.

48 Hour Slots
This is one of the fewer improvement ideas I thought I'd try. I was thinking people might just check their Journals or messages EN MASS! Yeah, I did that two when I was absolutely archiving every little art piece. So, if you're on any other social site and you want a slot, let me know! I can hold a slot for up to 48 hours of when I received your message so you can bump your friend or family or whoever off that computer and send me your request! Or, ya know... 48 hours to think of one. Your name will say "(pending)" until you send me what you want in a messaged PM

Back Log Slots
Since Adding the 48 hour slots means that there is a chance that the slot might not be filled, feel free to send me more work anyways. The backlog slots will allow me to fill in empty slots for later just in case. If all the slots filled, I'll send you a PM just in case you still would like something.

Came in off a flight from Pittsburgh yesterday and, well... after catching up with the family and showing off my "swag" or "booty"... Minus the hardblush stuff. Even this morning I slept in a bit late.

████ Anthrocon 2013
So, I was able to attend a few panels that I wanted to, including Transfurmation, the tail end of Kyell Gold reading, and even attended the dance. I did the two things that I remembered that made me all plain and dull down in Texas. I really did try my best to avoid the Zoo.

In accordance to ACTFur, I swung by Furnando and got my doggie bowl with fewd (arf arf!). I met David and Liz Lillie from Dreamkeepers. I even got a sketchbook with a sketch in it, and I don't think I could thank them enough for that. So I also came up with a little personal thing for when I go to cons: Bring that sketchbook, get commissions. I want to fill it up with everyone elses artwork.

I also got a cool bit of pixal art from Pyxle beads. Unfortunately, I lost their business cards! I swear it was in my backpack, it disappeared. I had one other card in their that I was saving as well.

Um, let's see. Oh, so I got to know a little bit more about istanbul as well as neybulot and even without the party room invites, I had a great time with them. Really wish the data from my 3DS wasn't gone though, I got a lot of street passes and tags.

And I finally met a few uers that I've wanted to meet in person for a while. Actually, I met... three people that I wanted to, took a picture of one, and was too shy to go up to the last one. BUT I WANNA COMMISSION HIM SOOOO BAAADLY!!!!

I think that was it. Sunday night is always depressing, but that's cuz everyone else has to go to work the next day so... I wouldn't have it any other way, I guess. I guess the only good thing is someone didn't mind me drawing them a free chibi in their sketchbook. And I should have swung by Redruskers booth for an art CD. What's done is done. I'll try to make it next year, but I'm not too sure. I need to see what happens at home. I won't bother you all with the details.

████ Sketch Request (Upcoming News)
Guess what! Something that I've sort of kept under wraps for the past month or two, I think. So, you all have been seeing that when I post "Free Sketches", it's usually followed by the letters, "Mk. II" or "Mk. IV". Well, I've decided that when I hit 60 available slots. (It's been 5 available slots per number so, "Mk. XII"), I going to open up commissioning.

The thing is I still need to play around with quality control and pricing. I've noticed that quiet a few people enjoyed some of my mature works and I was even told that my trade with Dark Orange was above and beyond my usual work(In all honesty, I really did want to do a summer beach scene for the longest time, but I was going to trade someone else for that. Funny how things work out. I still loved doing it!).

In order to play around with quality control, I'm going to do something exclusive for sketch requester only. Coming up, any previous sketches that I've completed will be available for completion. Full body picture, scenery, and maybe even little stories. In order to get an idea of how much they should be, I'd ask for a donation.

So the summery. 1) Has to be one of my previous works for a sketch request, 2) Donations are welcome. If you can't afford it, at least give me a number of how much you would have paid.

████ Sketch Request (Coming up)
So, I was hoping before I left for AnthroCon 2013, I would get all the images done. Unfortunately, I only got one of the pictures done, and I didn't even send out the approval note. I figured even if they said it looked good, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to upload the pictures anyways. No thumbnails, no tagging, no resizing, etc. So I'm sending out the notes today.

In the mean time, I would like to remind everyone that I'll be taking sketch request for July (and maybe August as well. Start a bit of back logging). In the mean time, I just need to recover a bit from jet lag and post con, plus get back to work. Yay for the daily life of a closet furry in the rocky mountains.

████ AnthroCon 2013
So, it a couple of days, I'll be taking off and landing in Pittsburgh to attend my first Anthrocon. I mean, I was at Texas Furry Fiesta and got some cool stuff, but this is the first time in a while I've been out east for family or friends. ^^

████ Sketch Request Info
Normally, I would post at the beginning of the month more sketch request slots. Lately, I've taken... a bit of a break. I've got one out of three of the sketches finished and I need to send a note out for approval.

I've taken an entire week off of work for anthrocon and I was planning on opening slots all the week I would be away from my keyboard. However, I don't want to feel work piling on while I'm at home.

I did want to try something though. Since my flight is going to take most of the day, I'm suspecting, I wouldn't say no to trying out some traditional. I have no color pencils though. Best I could do is a little detailing. I don't know, it's just a thought.

████Connectivity Issues
Among the small group of people (It seems), who are having issues connecting to the furaffinity, I seemed to be one of the lucky few. It's been a pain in the ass as far as browsing goes, but I haven't tested it as far as uploads go. I also know I still have one or two people I have to private message so if you don't hear from me for days on end, now you know why.

It actually hasn't been just fA in my case though. I got a lovely note from ISP telling me to cut down on my browsing. It's a shame but not wholly discomforting. I just need to log onto my services carefully. So if I have you on Steam (and wherever else I might not consider), I'm just hopping online for "as needed" basis for the mean time.

Although, it seems to be the most active one, out of the... five accounts I have? Yeah, five sounds right. I'm registered and attending the con! I've gotten most of my expenses paid and I'm working on the last piece right now. So for those of you planning to be there, it'd be cool to meet you :3c

████ Fursuit Info

I plan on updating my ref sheet, basically correcting it anatomically and with some real life info. I know when commissioning a suit, I need a DTD for the fursuit artist as well. I know a lot of artist prefer %30~%50 of the total cost as a down payment, so I won't be getting it anytime soon, but I was aiming towards filling out info before the end of the year comes up.

I was curious if there was anything else a fursuit designer might need. I was hope to get a digitigrade toony head suit design.

I was actually curious about art trades among the community. I know people with greater skills then I have posted art trades and I actually wanted to start posting art trades to other artist. The only problem is that I just want to avoid drama if I can. I know quiet a few spats have developed from art trades themselves. Starting next month, I'll open up dedicated trade slots I believe.

So, I seem to be keeping it somewhat steady and regular as far as pictures and post go. I'm also establishing a few ground rules. Currently, my biggest challenge I'm facing is anatomy and style. I'm hoping to establish something of my own, but for now it's just exploration.
I've also noticed a trend to furaffinity involving YCH (Your Character Here) commissions/auctions. I have a few opinions that lead to an ultimate decision about them.

Free sketches still going! I want to keep it up so as to make sure I got the endurance for this kind of thing. I'm also thinking I should limit what I draw, such as mild to moderate art, limiting the nudity to underwear. After all, if I keep this up, what would happen if I opened up for commissions? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Also, the only other reason I want to refrain for explicit images is because I don't have the best anatomy skills to begin with. Which is why I opened up a request line to begin with. Practice!

████Your Character Here(YCH) Auctions/Commissions
These prepose pictures have been dismissed as some artist being lazy and that's only about 20% true at best. Even if the layout of the body or bodies are shown, You still have individual characteristics, and final details that still need to be determined about them. Even the environment could or is a factor in the art.

I personally dislike the auction approach to any piece and tend to "buy out" when I can. However, I can understand some people's wish to save money anywhere and everywhere they can. The only other thing that feels unfriendly like competitive bidding is being shown commission slots available when I'm flat broke. Come on, we've all been there.

So next month, I want to try a flat color cell shaded YCH picture. I'd like to hear some opinions on if I should just post a cheap flat charge for prepose or if I should place it auction style so as to have the chance to get it for a steal.

████ Free Sketch Info
All you need to do is post on here what you want to see as a sketch. You're probably thinking "There's got to be a catch". Actually, there is. For me. I need ideas, concepts, and most importantly, practice. My only problem is when I come home from work, I'm too tired to even think up creative ideas and so I wind up plopping down in front of my computer and surf the net.

So here's where you come in. It sounds a bit egotistical, but I feel I have amassed enough viewers to make this interesting. I want to upgrade my tablet and go from using an old wacom bamboo to a surface tablet. That said, it would be an incredible waste of money to buy the tablet and hardly ever use it shortly after. So I want to prove to myself that I'm committed to drawing enough to invest in it.

I can earn the tablet. I need the motivation. So if you have ideas, please post them to this journal. Refs are highly appreciated, but if you don't have one, I'll see what I can do. I'm hoping to start a routine to stream these sketches on weekends or if you prefer in private, that'll be fine too.

EDIT: Just to be somewhat fair and dynamic, I'd like to ask one request per person. If I'm not doing anything, I wouldn't mind doing another one. And if I don't respond, don't worry. I either got your message or enough info to do it.

For those of you that know me, I seem to have gather quiet a kinky collections of commissions (Try saying that 10 times fast). I not only want to draw, I want to write as well. However, with the busy season, I couldn't get anything done. So this part of my journal is more for my sake. I need to keep a back log of commissions I need stories for. Since I don't update much, starting off with "Hey guys, it's been a while hasn't" it? seems moderately pointless.

I will say I had a fun weekend, even if getting home was more trouble then it was worth. I went down to Addison, TX for Furry Fiesta and had a lot of fun. I saw plenty of panels, bid on some art in the art show, and even got an old sealed copy of Office '97. I was surprised to see a couple of fursuiters I recognized by fursona. I do have a few pictures I need to post on here and possibly one video that needs to be uploaded to youtube.

The running joke of PCD is supposed to stand for "Post Convention Depression", But I figured "Post Con Developments" works just as well. I'm back home and back on the computer in the mean time, drawing as much as I can... well, I shouldn't say that. It's my first night back. But I do want to get better at what I do. Which leads me to reconsider opening up comms. I still need to finish this very late one, I believe.

Apart from being undecided to attending RMFC to the STATE I LIVE IN, I'm getting back to work and enjoying as much as I can. I'll be posting pics from TFF2013 soon. :D

Hey guys. Trying to keep a regular journal so here's what's been going on in the past month.

I actually managed to finish an overdue commission which... all jokes aside, took me way too long to finish. Hah. Six months really. But I decided to scrap future commissions for now and just get into the habit of drawing since I'm sort of, kind of, not really losing interest in gaming. I've also been trying to keep up drawing something every month which is quiet harder then I remember. I've been drawing a lot of chibis lately and so far it seems to be nice, apart from the fact that they all pretty much have the same post and no anatomy whatsoever.

I've been heavily preoccupied lately as I'm trying for my drivers license next Tuesday. It's been quiet stressful and a little embarrassing seeing as how I'm... er... 23. I got my permit last winter so I'm hoping I have enough driving experience under my belt. As for up coming events, I'm heading down to Texas later this month to attend Furry Fiesta. I'm going incognito. As stealthy as one might be wearing a "Fawks" badge. No fursuit, but depending on how this con works out, I'm hoping to change that.

I'm going to wrap up this rather short journal with a new years update. So far, I've got 1 illustrated story posted and 2 unique artist commissions. I hope I can upload something of my own once a month.

A Full New Cast
Previously, over the year, it's been bugging me that in video games and stories, I've only used two characters. Both of them the same species, though different types. I actually want to create an original cast. So, I've decided as an indifferent and colorful test, I'm going to make one from the 7 major Continents. For those not fully aware or unable to name them, each "Cast" will be from either Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Antarctica and Australia. I may even include a few more just in case I can't decided the right species for one place or maybe just to make it an even dozen.

12 Illustrated Stories
As most people are favoring and watching my account, I've noticed and personally enjoyed from my end a good story with my pictures. Really, I'll read just about anything. Well, mostly anything. A painter paints 1000 words but a writer can do the same. So I wanted to try my hand at writing stories as well. My goal was to have 12 commissioned pieces either from this year or next year in my gallery with stories. Will they be a connection? I'm not entirely sure. Maybe stringing them all together might be fun.

12 Unique Commissions
So this year's commissioning wasn't really a challenge. and I cannot thank the artist I commissioned enough for the pieces they've done. It makes me so happy. I did want to add a little twist to this year's commission resolution though. This year, I wish to commission 12 unique artist. I mostly thought of this because I want to share other people's work as much as my own. Even if I'm unable to preform a commission in a reasonable amount of time. Really, I've been working on the same piece for far too long. But yes, I will be keeping my eye out on artist and dropping notes in the future. I hope to see a bunch of new artist soon.

AnthroCon 2013
Last year's attempt to get to anthrocon was a bit embarrassing and very very disappointing. I really wanted to make it out to the east coast, not only for anthrocon, but for a family visit too. Hell, if given the option (which actually might be a reality, future journal postings), I would like to move out to the east coast. Hey there people looking for roomies. I'm hoping to budget enough to get out to the east coast, All weekend, to anthrocon which is... July 5th~7th this year. I might register to get my foot in the door and I'll try and make room reservations if I can. More then likely, I will make a separate journal posting for this even and I hope to see you guys there too.

Personal Milestones
Truthfully? This thing can't really be gauged because I have a lot that I want to accomplish and what CAN be accomplished. Among them are things that I can most likely do like keep my job nailed down and save up money, Get my driver's licenses, and personally things like... moving out and going back to school. Yes, I'm back at home, hush! But, well... this house might not be an option to me anymore. I started saying this about the middle of the year, 2012 is going to be an interesting year. But really, I wonder if 2013 is the year I can call myself... well...

But anyways, my plans are set, and I hope you all enjoy this new year as much as I do!
