A week late, but I was finally able to announce that my brother and I were able to get into the new apartment. (The hang up was a lot of red tape and the office changed background checkers, and error corrections)

So yeah, now we're waiting on my brother's unemployment to kick in, and for me to shore up enough funds to finally file my taxes and other monthly bills. Back to the grind.

Okay it's March 17th, so I might as well update for you all. My brother and I have been waiting on our application to an apartment complex for over 2 weeks. The hotel we're staying is eating into our funds, so we might need more help. If you want to want to assist, you can send me DM if you're interested in a commission or something, and I'll get right to working on them once we get set up at the new apartment.

Anyway, hope you guys are doing well.

Dunno what to say; My brother was let go at his job at the apartment we are living in. However since the apartment was tied to said job, we're ineligible to stay; so we have like 3 days to move out, so we've gotta apartment hunt and everything.

While I could offer a link and ask for financial aid, I really can't bring myself to asking that of you guys; a lot of us are barely holding on as is.
So it'll be a while to apartment hunt for us, then once we're back I'll resume streaming via This Place (It doesn't help that my streams start around late afternoon PST (-8UTC) either.

Anyway if you guys want me to link something, I'll see what I can do.

I was drawing a few adoptable ocs and offering them to those in my discord, for the most part; however I was torn between if I should offer them publicly or not.

The question though is which variant would you guys be more interested in:

- Paying for the character and choosing their colors
OR
- Paying for the character after they've been colored?

I was also considering a base price of $60 and they would be flat colored.

What do you guys think?

What are you guys interested in knowing?

Is it the characters I've designed? Their species? Culture?

Is it the worlds they inhabit that interest you? Is it the factions they are a part of?

Or is it something else?

I'd like to divulge about all of them, but I figure it best to see where the curiosity is first.

I dunno what it is honestly.
Maybe it's my work ethic? (I stream every other day or so)

I honestly like making them multi-slot (i.e. multiple OC's being used in the pose) and I can fiddle with the background to make each picture more varied.

I want to explain things about the kriggle-verse, but I don't want to just vomit a lotta text to hafta read through; that's uninteresting to some. (like myself) Yet drawing a lot of pictures takes a bit too long to convey lore, so I dunno...

My brother and I have both handed over our keys to our respected places, and all our things are either at the new place or storage; now for me to return to a sense of normalcy and start posting things.

However, with all my catching up and etc, everything's out of place and quite frankly the list of trying to memorize and categorize everything has been fouling my mood in even posting stuff.

The updated lease gave red flags over the fact the place was getting renovated so we decided to bounce, but a slight issue came up; my brother has a potential job offer as a concierge to an apartment complex. If he gets the job we can room together at a great discount (preferred) ; otherwise we have to live scrap to scrap at another apartment complex.

Anyway, I've been slow on work due to packing and cleaning and spackling and painting that none of my roommates are helping with... as they already have places and got their stuff out.

Almost all of my OCs generally share the same cannon; with different realities with the others. I tend to think of my characters with various stories, to the point that 2.5 of them have their own 'dedicated' story plots. Therefore, the cannon started branching out and creating a bunch of worlds and species and topics for the most part.
Honestly I like chatting about the worlds and structures, but I only have a couple friends that ask questions/assist in world building.
Anyway, if you guys are interested I'll see about drawing up a couple talking points, or reply to some things.

Hey guys, hope ya'll had an awesome holiday and etc, I actually remembered to let you guys about my streaming schedule.
Basically I start Wed-Fri, around 1-2pm (pst) and usually stop around midnight (I take breaks but I don't stop the stream) while I work on my commissions.
I try usually do a warm up, and work on either my backlog or have my assistant  jsk244 provide me with the list for the day; though there has been moments of conflicts of interest from time to time.

I'm not very fast, though. and I have jsk (butternut) in the stream as a bit of a mediator so as I don't get caught up in whispers, and not draw

I also am planning on changing my prices, but those that are still on the list won't be charged the new prices.

Technically I made it back yesterday, but all of that day was a weird mess of consciousness. Anyway I had a ton of fun hanging with so many people, attending panels, and buying stuff at the dealers den and artist alley. Also went to a hoffenhausse and Pogo de Chau (brazilian steakhouse) and stuffed myself there.

How was your guys' weekend without me?

Sorry I didn't drop this sooner, been super busy keeping things running, along with trying to work on my commissions (mostly on the down low)
If you guys are going, you might see me; I don't know, but I will not be running a table; my skill is not at that level yet; I will likely be all over the place for a bit.

Yeah a bit late, but I spent my birthday (4/28) pretty much working all day; no big deal really, but I am glad that things are starting to look up.

Though to be honest I've done a lot of art lately and haven't posted any, and that's silly of me; I'll try to fix that up soon.

Hey guys~ So update, my friends and I moved into a house to rent (instead of an apartment) It's pretty nice, though last night it snowed and iced the roads, so essentially I'm snowed in... but I consider moving to a new place a Christmas present all its own

Which of my characters do y'all prefer to see more of?

I mean I know a lot of you subbed to me came for Rebecca cuteness, but still I'd like to know.

Every time I sit down to draw I always have that conversation in my mind,
"I need to improve my art."
"okay, what needs improving?"
"dunno, but it can be better"
"I know that, but what do I focus on"
"beats me"
"..."
"... well look at other artists and see what your art is lacking"
"that is a very broad look at improvement, and doesn't specify aspects that I'm lacking. Everyone's style is different, along with their methods and techniques; looking at some amazing piece to compare my own to doesn't tell me where my art needs improving, just shows that I'm not at that level yet"
"So you admit that your art sucks?"
"As subjective of a thought that is, I can't say my art is perfect; it's always needing improvement, that's life."
"Still means yours needs improvement"
"Okay but WHERE?!"
"dunno but it still could be better"

...I can't tell if I've been too long a shut-in to find having a mental conversation with myself truly pathetic or not, but I know my art is lacking something.
However, I can't seem to isolate the varying problems to address and improve upon.

What do you guys think? Do you guys see any common issues my art is lacking, or things they need to be better?
