I have company this week and next week which will be taking up a lot of my time and these commisisons are easy enough to do and get approvals for.

Updated Terms of Service for 2025
Posted 9 months agoOnce again time to update this, mostly just tweaking things and making other things more visible.
First and foremost: (bolded and in huge letters now since people seem to want to ignore it)
1. I have the right to refuse service to anyone. (basically if the subject matter makes me uncomfortable, sorry I'm not going to draw it no matter how much you beg plead or throw money at me.)
2. My prices are not up for negotiation. I have priced my work based on the time I work on it and my need to make a living doing it.
3.Money must be tendered immediately before or IMMEDIATELY after the commission is complete. The only exception is a "brief" 24 hour window between when the commission is made and when it it paid for. If you don't have the money or are not sure you'll have the money in that time frame talk to me and we can work something out.
4. Artwork I make for you is still technically owned by me. This will allow me to use it in portfolios to show off my work to other potential clientele and post it on my various art-sites. That being said:
Out of respect I will ask you before I do any of the following:
A. make prints of your commission and sell them.
B. Recolor your commission to other characters for my own use.
C. Recolor your commission for someone else's use.
5. Artwork I make for you is yours as well to do with as you please with some small exceptions:
A. Do not alter non-adult work to make it adult.
B. Edits that are made or modifications that are added after the fact should be clearly labeled if the artwork is displayed elsewhere so viewers know where my work ends and yours begins.
C. I ask for credit and a link back to my FA page accompanying the artwork where-ever it is posted.
D: Artwork that is made for professional/commercial use: RE: book covers, Logos etc. will come with a Copy write contract that must be signed and notarized. and a fee of 50% of the final commission total. this gives you contractual right that will hold up in court should anything occur that gives you 100% copy write privilege over the artwork.
6. ASK PERMISSION if you are using someone else's character in your commission. This is a fast and loose rule and it's not very strict except in a few situations, these being:
1. In a romantic subtext or similar theme.
2. In any sort of bullying aspect. (I'm all for playful teasing but lets be adults. I want to make sure everyone's in on the joke)
3: Fan art is considered on a case by case basis, please ask.
7: Fan art: This unfortunately needs to be added to the TOS as I've had people ask for it and had to turn it down. I am happy to draw MOST fan art via commission EXCEPT:
A. Characters specifically owned by Disney, in the Disney style.
B. Characters specifically owned by Sanrio, in the Sanrio style.
If you would like something in the Disney style but is your own fan character, that's fine. But I can't/wont draw Simba, or Retsuko or hello kitty etc. because these studios are litigation happy and I like my house.
And Finally:
I will NOT draw adult imagery.
I will NOT draw most obvious Fetishes. If everything you ask for his suspiciously the same theme, I will judge that on a case by case basis. Don't make it weird and We'll be fine.
ONCE AGAIN I SHALL RESTATE. IF YOU ARE A MINOR: you can not Commission me. While engaging with my social media is allowed I would prefer you were 18 before joining my various chats on Telegram and Discord.

So begins my much deserved Holiday break. and news:
Posted 9 months agoHeyo Obviously no commissions will be happening this week as I enjoy Christmas and holidays in general. I MAY POSSIBLY take commissions next week, mostly because circumstances have happened that made me desire to take off the week -after- new years so Im contemplating my options there. We'll see how I feel.
There will still probably be an overlord Stream on Saturday but I'll keep you updated on that.
AND FINALLY news:
I've tried really hard not to do this as I've had increased my prices before a few years ago but didn't last year because I felt like with the economy being what it is I'd rather not become SO far fiscally out of reach that people don't commission me at all (and people still say my prices are too low >_>)
ANYWAY. The price for the Shading options are going up across the board for all of my detail teirs. Normal detail shading will be increasing by $10 and I'm still on the fence for how I will increase the Medium and High Detail prices. But they'll be adjusted over the next few days and go live on the first of January.
I appreciate everyone who commissions me and hope to see some new faces after the coming new year. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and I'll see you guys in the new year <3 Thank you!

IE. You do not have to attend my streams to get a commission from me. Please note that the commissions are still drawn and completed while I am streaming, the "offline" part refers more to the customer than to myself. So if you've ever wanted a commission from me but can't make a stream because of whatever reason (totaly fine!) please check out my Weekly featured Journal to grab one of the offline slots. As demand increases so too will the slots offered for these but right now they're limited it 3 a week.

Ringing in the New Year Under the Weather
Posted 2 years agoWell I had planned on Reopening commissions on January 2nd but the new year has decided instead that I need to rest. I caught a bad cold on my way back from my trip to visit relatives so I'm resting and recovering. TENTATIVELY I am planning on returning on saturday for our usual Overlord Comic day. Provided I can kick this cold to the curb by then.
For those of you who might worry or fuss. I'm fine. Im taking vitamins, my own home made cough syrup (with family-made honey!) and a some cold medicine and that seems to be helping keep the symptoms from being to awful.
Since I didn't say it sooner I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a lovely new year. Hopefully this one will suck less.
I'm not too broken up about being sick honestly, as it means I can get the rest I didn't think I was going to get before I started work back up so in a way I feel like it's God looking out for me.
See you guys Saturday hopefully! <3

Pondering "Offline" Commissions. Interest?
Posted 2 years agoIt's been brought to my attention that a lot of people would like to commission me but the narrow 3-4 hour window that I stream is a bit inconvenient. While "WHEN" I do commissions wouldn't change, I'm open to the possibility of taking commissions from people who can't watch with some caveats.
1. I need to make it worth my while to do something where the customer won't be able to watch. Which on it's own is a little nerve wracking. So the Artwork must be for line-art and above, medium Detail and above.
2. VERY VERY limited "free" edits. The price of additional edits will vary picture to picture and I may invoke an additional fee if it starts getting ridiculous. (re: 20 edits) If you're the type of person where you just need to micromanage your artist I am not the artist for you anyway.
3. Until such time as I determine this might be "worth it" for me I will limited "offline" slots to 2 per week on non-patreon weeks and 1 slot per week on Patreon weeks. If you're not sure which is which at any given time please refer to my weekly feature commission Journal. It's very convienent for keeping track of when my wednesdays are occupied.
ANYWAY. What are your thoughts oh great watchers of my FA gallery? Would this be something you'd be interested in? Questions? Comment down below.

Introducing Stripe to my Payment methods for commissions.
Posted 3 years agoWith paypal being... particularly stupid lately... I have decided to open up another Payment method for those of you who wish to stop using paypal and close your accounts. UNFORTUNATELY due to taxes and other things I am wrapped up in at least keeping my account for a bit longer but I hope to move over to Stripe if paypal continues to think that enacting arbitrary fines for stupid reasons is in ANY WAY okay regardless of the reason.
YES I know that paypal already backpedaled on its decision to fine users. I also know that many of you already hate paypal for it's various policies that are, frankly, Furry fandom unfriendly and sadly I can just see that hostility continuing to increase as time goes on. As a small business owner I need to recognize the writing on the wall and offer more options for my clients.
As with Paypal I do not make my payment link terribly public to avoid issues with mispayment etc so the best way to aquire the new stripe link for payment is to attend a commission stream where it will be presented as an option. For those of you who still use and rely on paypal, the paypal link will remain for the forseeable future but now you have other options.
I DO also have cashapp but I'm still working on integrating that into how I take payments , eventually I hope to just have a webpage that people can go to where they can choose how they pay and have a bunch of options.
Anyway This is not me trying to tell people what to do or how to operate, I just personally feel that having more than one way to accept payments is probably a good idea and now you can feel like you have options too, especially if you hate paypal.

Posted 3 years agoIt is with a very heavy heart I report the passing of Tigger, my beloved bengal/tabby, PLEASE do not invade my notes with the rainbow bridge stuff. I appreciate the sentiment but I have a different view of kitty afterlife and I just ask that please be respected. I am going to miss him dearly and this was not an easy decision, but it seemed a lot easier than it should've been given his condition. Thank you all for your patience with me as I process this.

Price increases, News and stuff.
Posted 3 years agoSoooo Shit's getting expensive lately and unfortunately it means that I have to accomodate for that in my own work and income. Normally this would simply mean taking on more work to even out the balance but I'm going to be honest, I'm almost 40. And with getting older comes the realization that if I continue to push myself like this I'm going to hurt myself and probably burn out which is NOT something I want and am going to try very hard to prevent. For Over a decade my basic normal detail sketches have been $10 per character, and it sucks but for the first time since I've started this career of mine I feel I need to increase that. I was GOING to wait until after Megaplex but I also know ME and I know that It always takes me at least a month to recover from the convention. Which means I won't have the energy to tackle that.
SO. I still feel like a proper warning is necessary albeit a bit sooner than I had planned. Starting July 1st, my prices will be increasing by $10 across all my sketch detail levels. So Normal Detail will be $20, Medium will be $30, and high Detail will be $40. The rest of the price incriments will remain but fully finished one character pictures will essentially look like this: Normal detail: $70, Medium detail $110, High detail: $150.
I apologise in advance, but I hope that the increase isn't too rough on people. It's not something I personally -ever- wanted to do but I can't ignore the fact that things cost more now than they did.
And no I do not want to discuss the causes or the politics of the situation, if you get politcal in my comment section I will shut it down and delete the comments. Please be civil.

Posted 3 years agoSoooo funny story I was technically supposed to go back to taking commissions LAST week as per my plan, but then I got kicked in the face with the flu.
Against my better judgement I am trying to get back to work, slowly. Just please be patient with me as Im going to be slow as I get back into the groove of things.
A few orders of buisness:
1. There will be no "updates" to the existing price list for this year. I will be adding more options later, like digital watercolors, but nothing is getting changed or increased this year. (unfortunately if inflation continues to be a thing I will have to raise my prices next year but hopefully things will simmer down and be less crazy so I won't have to do that. I don't care about politics. I don't care about what's causing it. If you come to my journal to complain about any of that I will hide your comment and block you this is your only warning.)
2. Gen, Vex, and I are working on a new project when you guys have seen the art of. GLORY! This is going to be more "open" eventually but for now we're still developing it. If you want to be a part of the ground floor of it you will need to join my Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/islaaukate. (at it's lowest tier it's $1 a month and still gives you access to tons of extra content from me)
That's mostly it! I look forward to seeing you guys in the streams and I hope 2022 ends up being a better year for all of us. I look forward to getting back into the swing of things and hope to see new and old faces alike. <3

Posted 4 years agoI honestly got the idea from Vivziepop's Helluva Boss where the artists of the show post instagram pictures of their lives outside of the show.But I felt like it could really add a nice level of immersion to the overlord comic AND allow people to interact with Rain.
She doesn't have many posts there yet and commissioned posts will still end up here on FA But please go follow her if you want!

Just bear in mind that I will be a little more picky about ideas involving my character so please don't take it personally if I suggest alternative Ideas for her interacting with your character if the situation is too out of character for her.
