Set minimal desktop "space" to 1280*720pixel (no more wild zooming)
Installed Google mod_pagespeed to handle CSS/js overhead(good)
Started Cloudflair test to cut 80% idle time for American visitors. (better)

Posted 14 years agoAurali keeps ignoring my requests so we have to start from zero again. Everything with < or = 2 stars or no rating at all got nuked. New server is coming around June and invites will we send be then. New stuff is added and some of that old structure is coming back.
Foxbox v5.0 is coming!
Posted 14 years agoFoxbox v5.0 is coming! Now that that is out... yeah. I managed to get a new job and got meds to counter my schizophrenia ... according to a game here in the German furry fandom a broken family scores 10 points on the "how furry are you" index.
My attempts to get a mirror of the ongoing foxbox 4.1.1 on furryplay failed so far. silent treatment all the way q.p so I have go start from scratch... shame that all the votes are going to wast.
About the money. Now that I have a steady stream of money to support myself and a server the donation // pay site option is out of the house for now. I still think that we need a little money in there to somehow pay the people some beer money for there work. Creating a flash requires a strong skill set and is usually not something that comes gifted.
As always there will be changes from the very very very little feedback I pulled from FA and lulz. Seriously I got like 3 emails in 1 and a half year from a site that had > 100.000 visitors a month... yes I#m German and I'm into BSDM but I've never killed or hurt someone against there will... o.o
Stay tuned. I'll post updated right here.

Update 03/21/11
Posted 14 years ago2010 was an horror trip. Jobless for the first time, family problems and I asked the wrong people for help. Thankfully there where a few furry friends I could count on in such hard times. I still need professional help to cope with the new knowledge but as far as I can tell I'm stable.
I'll move into a new apartment next month with a ... lets say work friendlier environment and I need a new time sink. I'd love to continue on the gallery project but I have close to zero to begin with.
Overfall I set things in motion again and just patiently wait for feedback. StarCraft 2 is a good way to wast time but I like being useful. Even if I is just piling up furry p0rn :)

I continued working with flash and soundbooth, as a result I'm now in possession of a more addictive sound loop that has never been used before and comes with great gayness and a "fuck me in the ass" punchline!
Sadly I was unable to find an animation that fits the rhythm... someone needs to create one :P

They locked http://myfur.net/ about half a year go because I missed to pay the bill in advance. I payed what they asked me for and they still didn't renewed my registration and gave the domain back. Well shit happens...
Here I though they would use the money I payed them for a job they didn't do to balance my foxbox.cc account... WRONG!
Use this IP/URL http://85.214.133.74/forum/ while I send hate-emails to the FLS people -.-

Posted 16 years agoThe 1$ donation thingy wasn’t a complete disaster. It returned the cost of operation but killed the little community that had existed. I simply had not accounted that the people who write comments, uploads stuff and are willing to pay the fee just do not overlap.
My conclusion is very simple and I somehow wonder why I got stuck with the idea to satisfy all the porn grabbers out there (keep up with the demand). I’ll continue to pay the vserver and domain reg. fee as before, only difference is that I’ll just cap of the flow of new users to Foxbox once the servers resources become once more an issue.
Foxbox long term evolution:
I don’t know how much the serve can handle with the new software in place; I cut down on resource hogging statistics, avatars and upload tracking. My guess is about 1.500 visitors a day before things getting noticeably slow.
Once that point is reached, Foxbox will be invite and “buy in” only. The money will be bundled and put up as a reward for artists to make some decent files.
That way Foxbox will not burn a hole in my pocket and I don’t have to feel bad about getting paid for something I use to do for free.
