While I don't normally make journals and all, this is just a heads up. Hurricane matthew is baring down on my location, and landfall may hit really close by, to the point I might get eyewall winds if it moves a slight bit west. I'm hunkered down, boarded and shuttered up, got lots of supplies, and a heavy duty hurricane resistant house. Still, wish me luck here, this is a scary situation and I can't evac due to my pets and health issues. I'm not on a barrier island and it shouldn't flood, but still can worry. Hope goes out to all the others caught up in this mess too. Hope I can return soon in case things get bad.

Outside of that, not much going on. Trying to keep my house clean, dealing with El Nino making the local area too stormy to fish, and just getting by. I have many stories in the works but none completes. Someday I'll get more uploaded!

Still hurting, but that won't ever go away it seems. Wonders of spinal cord injuries and all. I got a new pc though, epic gaming rig which is helping wonders to distract me as lawsuit waits and waits. Big company likes to delay things to bankrupt people instead of paying out, frustrating thing that. Makes me angry at all the people who sue over every little thing make people like me, who are really hurt bad, wait and suffer for their stupidity.

Trying still to get back into drawing and writing, it's hard on medication and pain but I'm determined to get back into writing, even if it's slower than before the accident. Note to everyone, don't ever hurt your back if you can help it.

If there are any central florida area furs reading this..I got a litter of kittens that will need a home as well as some older kittens a few months old. Older kittens are silver, gray, and cream tabbies. Newer ones are born on christmas day and are calicos...one is a black kitten born on mayan doomsday to a mother named Maya, of all things.

Been awhile since I updated but worth giving a shout about what's up and up. Had back surgery, not a pleasant experience although I did have an interesting OOB experience during it, fun stuff, weird stuff. Found more things wrong inside but did their best to correct them all. I'm currently undergoing physical therapy and under rather crazy restrictions about what I can and cannot do, but I'm hoping things will lighten up soon as cabin fever is a dreadful thing. Being stuck inside and mostly in bed for over a year can drive a man crazy.

Luckily I have a friend staying with me as a helper, letting my dogs out, cleaning, shopping, and all other things we take for granted. Working on a few stories, but it's been hard staying focused and inspired being stuck in one place all the time. Lost Vaguely Familiar chapters in a HD crash but I'm re-writing them so you can expect to see some soon.

Figured I'd give a bit of an update to folks as to why its been so long since I've really uploaded anything, and that reason would be the wonderful world of back surgery and car accidents. I was in a terrible car accident, not my fault at all thankfully, that messed up my neck and back. Thankfully my neck and upper back healed, sadly messed up discs, fracture, and broken bone in my lower back called for an intensive lower back surgery. Needless to say I've been more than a little held up by pain and lack of ability to move, but I've got ideas brewing to put to text when I'm capable of doing so.

Will likely be on meds and partly disabled for life, but at least I'm not paralyzed and the fact I was hit by a company vehicle is making sure my medical needs are fully taken care of. Skunks, inflatables, martens, even some non usual stuff should be coming in a few months time at most. Also got a werewolf novel waiting to find a publisher, so when and if that happens I'll give an update and link. No drawings for awhile though, all my art stuff was lost in the accident and I lack funds to feed myself all the time, let alone buy new art supplies and a replacement tablet pen so stories will have to do!

I completely forgot about the journal function here to give an update, which is long overdue. I did lose my home thanks to Gustav, thanks to national guard forcing me to leave or be arrested despite not having the money to do so and also pay rent, as well as someone breaking in while I was gone and letting rain flood part of the inside. I'm currently stuck bouncing between family in the chicago area, which is far from a pleasant experience when your family is a bunch of fundamental crazies and devot uber catholics who restrict sites off the internet (somehow FA isn't) and don't allow me to call out to friends.

I'm trying to find a way to get back down to where I was, or at least in the area, but have had no luck yet. I've also been trying to find a way back down south at the very least, florida maybe, but its been a rough search. FEMA has yet to accept or deny my application for aide, so that's also up in the air. If anyone knows of any programs, room openings with people who don't mind a dog, or even jobs that give temp housing, please let me know.

As many have heard, hurricane gustav is headed towards the new orleans area, which happens to be where I've been living since moving down to help rebuild after Katrina. The storm has grown to monstrous proportions and it's no longer safe where I am, so I'm evacuating to chicago where I came from. I don't know if I'll be coming back or not, the area is supposed to take an amount of damage even greater than katrina and it's likely I will be without a home. I don't know when I will be online again, but I'll give a heads up as soon as possible.
