So, uh, an update.
Posted 3 years agoSo I'm actually trying to start back up with school soon.
And with that I'm significantly reducing work for the time being. Gotta actually focus on uni this time; whee.
With that in mind, I'm just here to remind that I am in fact open for comms, though there's a distinct possibility of that closing come next Wednesday.
and because i had a case of this happening, for the love of god, i pretty much only draw definitive adults

Posted 4 years agoOkay. It's been too long.
First of all, I'm still fuckin open for comms. Always have been. Still should be for the coming future.
Second, uni. Finally went through with the reinstatement process there. Will not clarify.
Kinda wouldn't suck if I didn't need to spend 3.5K on a replacement clutch pack because Certified Ford Powershift Moment™.
Won't go broke over it but it is one of those setbacks that kinda sucks considering I was on the path to quitting work while I focused on finally finishing my degree.
Anyhow, that's it.
Nothing's changed beyond maybe actually having a reason to take comms
Oh yeah, considering adding a crop modifier for comms. 60% price busts and shit like that.

I'll try to do a better job of updating profile stuff here, but TLDR, fuck it, opening now.

Posted 4 years agoFirst off, I meant to open a long while ago, but I still never quite landed on a decision on how I wanted to handle them.
I've been toying with the idea of having forms for the sake of just handling basic stuff (namely contact and sorting), but I also feel like it's a bit redundant to do so if I don't have a particularly high volume, which is deffo the case w/ me.
Also, forms can kinda give me anxiety, but then again, so do ANYTHING ELSE so.....
On a completely unrelated tangent, I've started streaming on twitch at twitch.tv/FormulaAzureJackal, where I've been so far just streaming Satisfactory, though I plan on expanding to a few games and maybe music.
So that's a thing.

Posted 5 years agoSo let's sum up everything starting from the 13th.
October 13: My right shoulder dislocates yet again. It was out for over four hours while i waited for help, and being the shoulder, it goes in instantly when a doctor attends to it proper. I'm out of work for two weeks to allow it time to recover its strength.
October 20: I finally see my orthopedic. We both agree on having an MRI and I have one scheduled originally for the 29th.
October 26: I begin to have issues with breathing. Also, headaches, disorientation, and cold sweat is also present. They were actually happening about the time i started streaming.
October 27: They worsen and I begin to suspect myself of having Covid. I call out of work for the week.
October 28: I finally have my Covid-19 test. Symptoms were bettering though breathing was still inefficient.
Literally the only good thing to come from this last month was that I finally got my results back and that I tested negative. Which is a relief.
That still kinda doesn't change that I missed three week's worth of work. While it's not the most desperate thing for me, it's still income i'd rather make up.
I had informally closed new comms whilst I recover and get my strength back to par to have a drawing session, but now, I'm physically there to where I can actually open them again.
So yeah, comms are open. Inquire here or on Discord, Discord being the preferred medium.

A question about lineart
Posted 5 years agoBasically, I kinda wanna get opinions on what sort of lineart style looks best with my art, be it the with thin lines of variant thicknesses, thinnish lines of non-variant thickness, or thick lines of non-variant thickness.

In the meanwhile, I know I've gotten a few inquiries about comms. I was closed then, but I am going to open them back up now and reciprocate with those that sent me stuff about that, in chronological order. I still have one comm that I'm currently working for that's roughly two-thirds of the way done; burnout in large (and specifically on large fats, which is still kinda ongoing) had been preventing me from progressing further from there..
In the meanwhile, I am back open for commissions (I know, I should remember to update my FA status for that sometime; it's kinda out of the way for me). There's just a backlog of inquiries I need to handle first.
I should probably put together a Google Form sheet related to commissions again sometime...
Aside from that, I'm still trying to focus more on defining my characters and how they interact with each other...
