I'm back!!
General | Posted 8 years agoThanks for all the kind messages and well wishes while I was away! I’m back, and the whole hiatus thing only lasted about three… maybe four times longer than I originally said it would? I’m still recovering a little, and I won’t be able to draw super properly for a couple more days till I can get back to my usual set up (I’m currently typing and drawing from bed), but I’m just about back to normal.
Thanks to all the new watchers who appeared while I was away! Look forward to a return to regular uploads!

Short Hiatus
General | Posted 8 years agoI'm gonna be on a short hiatus for about a week or so for health related reasons... but after that I'll be right back at it drawing the stuff I draw! And I'm pretty sure I'll be able to draw more often to boot. So yeah, look forward to it!

General | Posted 8 years agoworking on a lot of commissions can really take it out of you! although i can definitely get all of it done - that was never a question - it's surprisingly easy to underestimate just how draining it can be when you're taking work on, and then get blindsided by it when you get around to actually doing it. if you're a fellow artist, make sure to stay healthy and don't become sleep-deprived if you're busy with a lot of paid art! take breaks! don't draw in the dark or you'll hurt your eyes!
on an unrelated note, since my test streams last month were a success, i'll be streaming again semi-regularly (or as regularly as possible) once i'm done with my current batch of commissions, which should be mid-late april. commissions are gonna stay closed for a little while, but when i open them up again, i'll most likely ONLY be offering pin-ups at a flat rate, at least for a while.

General | Posted 9 years agoi'm not dead, promise. i've been drawing a lot of stuff - but some of it is stuff i haven't been able to post! ;-; so i've looked quite inactive. that said, i'm gonna be able to post more soon, including art of my OCs! so that's neato, and i'll probably be opening up commissions again soon (and making a journal containing some commission guidelines, like i said i was gonna do like three months ago).
anyway, that's all! the fluffbug's heart still beats.

2017
General | Posted 9 years agoso i guess i just wanted to make a short 'thinking aloud' kind of journal regarding the turn of the year.
when i started off going into 2016, i'd only just started properly trying my hand at digital art, after a history of always being too perfectionist and frustrated with my own work to ever really get going with it. over time, i got a lot better at overcoming my limitations in that regard, and as a result, i've improved significantly over the last year - not only in regards to actual artistic skill and knowledge but also in regards to my own attitudes towards self-betterment. it's important to be able to look at your work and know that it is flawed, but that that's okay, because you can move forward with that knowledge and improve using it.
i'm really looking forward to seeing what i can make out of 2017. i have a feeling it's going to be a very significant year for me in regards to my art, and that this time next year, i'll be able to look back upon a lot of cool stuff that i did! of course, that can only happen if i keep working hard - so my new years resolutions are to draw draw draw, improve, and then draw some more.
i'll be posting some commission guidelines soon in order to make it a little easier for people to see what i will/won't draw and such, so people don't have to note me just to find out!
