It's been a long time since my last journal, but I figured I might as well put something up for all those people that follow me.
I spent this weekend at Dragon Blade Wars, that wonderful larp event put on by Amtgard.
Twas a fun weekend full of fighting, meeting new people, and hanging out with friends.
Oh, I also got to be the only sober person babysitting drunks, but that's what happens.

Im still here at Dragon Blade Wars for Amtgard. By a strange turn of events I haven't had power or service for my phone. This morning I plugged in my truck charger and found that I had service and I had woke up just in time for a horrible emergency at home.
Thursday I got to be with good friends, Friday I got to shoot people with my nerf guns and today we are having our tournaments. This weekend has been amazing.

Well, today is this the start of Dragon Blade Wars, one of my amtgard kingdom's big events (Kingdom of the Desert Winds). I'm packed and ready to set out this morning to pick my tent and beat the crap out of my fellow LARPers. I also got hold of a new crossbow, so I'll be sure to shoot a few of them too.
This means I'll be gone til Saturday, not that anyone will notice xD

Well, I felt like making a journal this morning, so that's what I'm doing xP

I'm getting ready for a big trip this weekend, so I'll be unreachable for a couple of days. The trip is to an event called Dragon Blade Wars for Amtgard. I'm looking forward to this event, especially the big Left 4 Dead themed battle game we'll be doing. For all you LARPers out there, you should totally check out this event if you have the chance!

In other news I uploaded a picture of my pet snake. Selene is probably one of the more cuddly pets I've had, including dogs and cats. Feel free to comment on how creepy/cute/adjective you feel she is ^.^

So, is it safe to assume that tabletop roleplayers are masochistic? I find myself having to spend at least an hour every time I draft a new character. And it is a terribly painful process. I'll admit I love creating this person, whether he be a plumber who's going to die as soon as that ghoul comes around the corner, or a spellslinging badass that catches things on fire just because she can. But, the process feels like an hour of grueling paperwork and wringing of the brain juices.
