I am Now Dr. Fake! ALSO, IT WAS HELL. STORY INSIDE
General | Posted 9 months agoSo, long story short, I stopped writing furry TF smut for awhile to focus on my dissertation. I passed my defense and now have a Doctorate of Philosophy in rhetoric!
This is good.
However, it was also the worst academic experience of my life so far. There's a LOT more anti-trans stuff going on than I assumed there would be, and I had a difficult time writing in a situation that I did not feel safe or respected.
Mind you, my previous experience was working in Saudi Arabia, so I have some experience working in hostile environments. But I must say, I feel misled by UNR because they said it was a safe, accepting place to be trans in, and I did not find this to be the case.
Some notable events that happened while I was working though my PhD process.
1. In my time at UNR, we went through 4 Title IX Directors. My university was one of 4 that chose not to publish its Title IX data and got called out for it in USA today. Sexual assault is a huge problem on campus, especially with professors and people in positions of authority.
2. Speaking of, an engineering professor kept repeatedly only hiring Chinese women with PhDs as "research assistants," and then forcing them to sleep with him on threat of deportation. One such student spoke up, and made a public accusation, then getting dragged through court, losing 10,000 in legal fees, and the university did nothing for YEARS.

3. A student was filmed shouting the N-word in the international dorms. After this a large group of black and other non-white students protested in front of the library that they had received similar treatment. The university condemned the individual student, but didn't do anything to actually combat the "acceptable level of white supremacy" on campus.
https://www.rgj.com/story/news/educ.....t/73300271007/
3.5. (I should probably mention that UNR is the university Peter Cytanovich, the face of the 2017 Unite the Right rally where he screamed "Jews will not replace us" into the camera. He then continued to drive the campus shuttle for weeks after that. Imagine calling the campus ride service because you don't feel safe walking in Reno and the most known white supremacist in the country shows up driving the UNR van -_-)
4. TPUSA has a large presence on our campus. They host events and guest speakers. Among these were
Charlie Kirk showing up along with some Proud Boys.
A guest speaker that said "Trans people are infiltrating the government so they can castrate your 3-year-olds," calling all trans people mentally ill, claiming that trans people should not exist, ( and this was all in a speech that was SUPPOSEDLY about opposing abortion . . .)
Another guest speaker showing up to say that guns are needed to respond to the tyranny of the government trying to take your kids away to trans them.
They sent out multiple anti-trans emails calling trans women "womenface" (like blackface,) saying trans men didn't exist, and inumerable other bits of anti-trans hate speech.
5. One Friday, an email came in with a "Use code Wolfpack25 to get 25% off at our sponsor Nutrient Survival." Nutrient Survival was a prepper food company that had "alpha warrior spokespeople" to promote their products. One of these was a gun review Youtuber called Garand Thumb, who had a Twitter page full of him calling for trans people to be killed (wood chippered, forced to dig their own graves, shot up the ass, etc . . .) The University continued to send out these emails for WEEKS after I brought their to their attention through at least 4 different departments and services.
6. Nevada System of Higher Education Regent (The guys who wrote my checks as a TA) Patrick Boylan called trans women "Men masquerading as women unless they've had their you-know-what's cut off," said all trans women athletes were just there trying to harm cis women, Claimed he had never heard the word "transgender" while he was easily able to rattle off anti-trans talking points and news incidents, Claimed it all actually a "woke" Democrat plot to discredit him by the dastardly women running against him, never admitted he said or did anything wrong.
My university said that there had been an "incident" at NSHE, but never mentioned what was said, never named Boylan, Never mentioned why any of it was problematic, made no plans of action to change anything, and ended up by saying "trans people have the right to feel welcome here." Like . . . what the fuck does that mean? What if trans people DON'T feel welcome or safe there? Like, how in God's name was I supposed to invoke my "right" to FEEL welcome? Anyways, he's still in his job.

7. UNR's Volleyball team refused to play Jan Jose State because they allegedly had a trans player on their team.
This is after University of Las Vegas beat San Jose 3-1.
The UNR team's "bravery" attracted Republican attention. They hosted a 400+ person anti trans rally (was supposed to be at the campus bar, but got so big they had to hold it at the convention center.) This got national coverage. MAGA loved it so much Trump's administration is now targeting San Jose state, threatening them and their funding.
8. Some of my peers in the department were awful.
An office mate said "It's good they can coexist" after the Proud Boys brought a gun to their protest of Drag Queen Story Hour at the Sparks Public Library.
A classmate said a passing trans-man I brought up wasn't rally a man because he "didn't fit the objective cultural standards of gender. He stopped talking to me completely after I disagreed.
My last seminar, I got instructed to just let anti-trans students do their thing and be polite to show them I was "one of the good ones."
The department was apathetic. Some people were holding casual class debates on "the trans issue" in writing 101 and 102. We supported "both sides"
9. I did some work at the uni. Won a poster contest with a poster about anti-trans rhetoric on campus (won $500. Gave it immediately to the psych department to get tested for ADHD. I do not have ADHD, but got a really weird spread of results. Might be autistic. Can't afford to know. It costs $3,500.) Worked with an assistant dean on a presentation on combating anti-trans rhetoric on campus. We did it, response was positive but nothing concrete happened. The dean stepped down, citing the stress and discrimination from being the "only brown, gay man" in upper leadership.
10. Nazi stickers, swastikas, NeoNazi, and white supremacist stickers kept showing up on campus. Even if you tore them down, there was always more.
11. I had a hard time with my committee. While they were super smart, and I respect that, the anti-trans rhetoric on campus could always be explained away as "just neoliberalism" or "just a conservative city" or " just an opinion."
12. The other queer folks I know who went through the program are shell shocked. There's a creative writing MFA who stopped reading and writing completely for about a year. They were not burnt out, but incinerated. A guy in my cohort quit after 3 years to become a banker who is now managing his depression now that he's free of UNR. Also, UNR doesn't treat Veterans very well either. Not saying that veterans are queer, well, I mean, SOME are, and I think that's rad as fuck, but yeah, all the vets I knew there also quit, even ones that had gone though some AWFUL SHIT in their lives felt less supported at UNR than in actual warfare.
13. Overall, it hurt me. I think being genderqueer is neat, but now I know that a lot of folks don't think I'm fully deserving of equal rights, representation, and/or respect. My dissertation was critical of the Trump regime, and how ironic distancing ("Don't worry, bro. It was just a joke") allowed them to inject bigotry into the mainstream. I'm not super comfortable with the way the country is going, and would in fact, say it's quite bad.

Even the science nerds are getting worried. I tend to agree. The constitution is currently not being followed. Their is direct constitutional conflict between the executive and the Judicial, as well as the executive and legislative branches (Executive rising taxes and distributing tax dollars, Executive defying Supreme court order and constitutional interpretation,)
So that's scary.
I might try to find a job somewhere else again.
If I could live in Saudi for 3 years, I can do what I need to. Id rather be in a place I can openly be queer tho. I have to many fantastic skirts to not wear them.
Still tho, I'd like to be closer. My folks are getting old, and I want o be around for them.
Maybe Canada needs a rhetoric instructor, lol.
Good to see ya'll again.

Fake Commission Etiquette
General | Posted 3 years agoHello, everybody.
I'm just a hobbiest, and not a professional furry smut writer by a long shot. However, I think it would be good to set up some boundaries in how I write my commissions. So, without further ado, This is what you can expect when getting a commission from me. This isn't directed towards anyone in specific, but just some general guidelines to make sure y'all know what you can expect when you commission me. It's also to make sure I protect my own sanity, so I can keep enjoying writing this stuff for fun as well as occasional profit.
Stage 1 - Ideas and payment agreement
You can tell me what you'd like in your own words. I'll ask questions to make sure I understand. Then we can decide on how long the story will be. From this point forward, I'll require 1/2 of the price up front to start the commission. My current going rate is 32$ per 1000 words. If I go over the word limit we agreed on, I won't charge you extra, but do encourage you to tip to make up the extra length. I usually write just as long as I need to to finish the story as I envision it.
Note - The more specific you are, the better I can do writing the story that YOU want. If you leave things up to me, I will write the story that I want. In general, I'd recommend being as specific as you can in this phase, learn the names of kinks or dynamics you like.
Note 2 - If you're having trouble describing exactly what you want, the easiest way for me is if you can find another one of the stories I've already written and say "Something that feels like this"
Stage 2 - Outline
To make sure I understand what you want, I'll write up a short outline. This mostly undetailed and just larger story beats at this point.
Note - This is the best, and easiest stage to make changes in! If something feels off, let me know here, and I can make sure I write the story as you want it to be. Seriously, this is the best, most productive place to get feedback. Feel free to add/remove/revise things at this stage.
Note 2 - If there's any specific scenes or details you want added, this is the best place to get them worked in.
Stage 3 - Rough Draft
I'm gonna write the rough draft at my own pace. I'll keep you updated on the word count at the end of every day I write. I don't share the draft at this point because its UGLY. I add a lot of editing notes as I go. I also don't like back seat writers. I know there's a LOT of typos at this point, and repeated words, and boring construction. I have to just write at first then then I worry about making it better later.
Stage 4 - Initial revisions and proofread
Before I show you the draft, I'm going to go through it again, make major revisions, edit for clarity and consistency, make sure it fits the outline, and generally make it more readable on your end.
Stage 5 - Working Draft -
At this point, I'll show you a working draft. It's mostly complete, but not polished up 100%. At this point, I can still add or remove things, but it's MUCH MUCH MUCH harder now than it was in Stage 2. That being said, I do want your feedback, and can add or remove scenes, details, or tweak scenes to your liking.
Stage 6 - Final Draft -
At this point, I'll go back, make all the changes you requested, and present you with a final completed draft! At this point I'll collect the 2nd half of the payment. You're free to do with the story as you will! You can post it anywhere as long as you credit me and link to my FA. Likewise, you can edit as much as you would like as long as you credit me and link back to my FA as well.
Note - If you want extra drafts done at this point, we're going to have to negotiate an increase in cost. Editing and revising takes up a long time, and as much as I want to write the story that you want, I can't just keep editing one story over and over again trying to please you without compensation. I'm not sure exactly what this price will be, but likely around 8 dollars per 1000 words for each additional draft.
Note 2 - This is the HARDEST point to make major revisions. If something has gone wrong and you really don't like the story as a whole, it's probably easier to just write another story from the ground up than it is to really retrofit every part of a story into something else. I highly recommend making any major idea changes in the outline phase to prevent this from happening.
Thanks for reading, everyone!
I'll proably add this to somewhere more visible than a journal at some point.
Also, commissions are likely closed until at least Christmas. School be kicking my ass at the moment.

Headed to BLFC!
General | Posted 4 years agoI'll be around at BLFC if anyone wants to hang out.

Need to do 2 more stories for Game. Which ones?
General | Posted 4 years agoSo, I need to do 2 more stories for the TF game before I start working on it instead of just writing more.
What else needs to be seen?
I'm thinking something more synthetic for one,
and not sure on the other, maybe the pavlovian husky TF.
Anything y'all want to see?

Judith Butler on TFTG (Also, working on a new story)
General | Posted 4 years agoSo, completely unrelated to my normal furry existence, I've also been reading Judith Butler's "Gender Trouble" for school.
Butler is one of the cornerstones of modern queer theory, and is usually brought up as the person who sought to prove "gender is performative"
I was surprised to see a quote that mentioned gender transformation specifically (in the context of drag), and felt like sharing it for whatever reason:
"The possibilities of gender transformation are to be found precisely in the arbitrary relation of such acts, [acts that perform gender] in the possibility of a failure to repeat, a de-formity, or a parodic repetition that exposes that phantasmic effect of abiding identity as a politically tenuous construction" (Gender Troubles, 1990, pg# 192).
Though kind of wordy, I like the gist of this. If gender is a series of repeated acts, then gender transformation is just changing to different repeated acts. Neither what your were before or after the transformation is "the real immutable you" but they are both created and maintained by repeated actions.
I like queer theory because of the focus on acts and words instead of essential qualities. It's not about what your "really are" (which is usually a label that other people give you. You ARE and will always be, you.) Instead, its about what your do, and what your say, and how you act (which feels much more agential. You DO you. If you change what you do, you change you.)
Anyways, not going anywhere specific with this, but if you want a fancy quote to show people about TGTF, here it be.
On an unrelated note,
I'm writing a story about totally not gay wolf gym bros. Just dudes being dudes.
Or possibly, dudes being lewds.

Whatever I am (Also working on a new story.)
General | Posted 4 years agoSo, I'm still trying out different gender identities.
Genderfluid seems to fit pretty well. I vacillate pretty wildly on a week to week basis on how I identify myself. I've also tried wearing more feminine clothes over the pandemic, and I generally like 'em (except high heels. Heck high heels)
I honestly wish there was no such idea as crossdressing and that anyone could just wear whatever clothes they liked and that would be perfectly normal.
I'm also looking into genderqueer, with seems a bit broader and less defined. I like this one because it leaves me a space to just kind of "be" without having to determine if I'm feeling more manly or womanly at the moment.
It's also kind of hard because, if you've read anything I've written on this website, you'll know I have a lot of weird kinks that I like, and generally like change. I don't want to just base my gender identity on a fetish, you know? It's tricky though, because honestly, furry stuff, and the furry community in general, is one of the only places I really feel comfortable expressing this stuff. Having an outlet like this while working in Saudi and growing up in a pretty conservative town has been really helpful.
But anyways, I'm still just kind of experimenting.
Also, I'm working on writing a snuggly lounge story that's going to involve either tigers or lemurs (not sure yet and input greatly appreciated)
AND I WILL ACTUALLY KEEP IT SHORT THIS TIME
They said as they proceeded to go way over wordcount, lol.
Anyways , feel free to comment about whatever or ask me what you'd like.

Next Story Will Be Finished Today
General | Posted 4 years agoHello, FA
I have just finished the rough draft of the next TF game story.
I'm telling you this in order to motivate myself to finish said story by the end of today.
So anyways, if I don't finish the story by the end of today, please mock me mercilessly.

P.S. - It involves a lot of manic laughter and very unique positioning.

2021 Update - Life, The Universe, and Everything.
General | Posted 5 years agoFirst and foremost, let's get politics out of the way
I agree with FA on this one.
"This seditious attack resulted in the desecration of our US Capitol and at least 5 deaths. Lawmakers and experts have identified these rioters as domestic terrorists. We at Fur Affinity agree and will be taking immediate action upon any users or content sympathizing with or promoting this terrorist attack upon our country."
The attempted coup at the capital was terrorism aimed at halting the democratic process. The confederate battle flag was flying in the capital. The people that did this are terrorists.
I do not care if you identify as leftist, rightist, conservative, progressive, liberal, collectivist, or anarchist. If you do not condemn the violent occupation of the capital building and the people that caused it, including Donald Trump, you are morally in the wrong.
I could speak all day on this, the biggest security failure in modern American history, and an event that mirrors the rise of the Nazi party in 1930s Germany, but I'm going to leave it there for now.
IN OTHER NEWS ABOUT ME
I'm trying to explore myself more and get out there. I've been in two pretty nice relationships that didn't pan out. I'd like to look for more, but dating is kind of hard, what with the pandemic.
Concerning my own identity, I'm still not 100% sure what I am.
I agree with the tenants of
Bisexuality (I'm attracted to my own and other genders)
Pansexuality (I'm attracted to people regardless of gender)
Omnisexuality (I'm attracted to all genders [that I know of at least])
I'm also wondering if I'm at least partially
Genderfluid (My tastes and how I identify myself seem to change over time on a day to day / week to week basis)
Demisexual (I'm much more interested in what people do with their bodies (skills and such) than anything purely physical. and also forming a strong relationship (romance, etc . . . But I'm not sure here.)
[People have also suggested that I might be asexual, but I'm not sure that I am . . .]
This is why most folks that know me in the community just call me "Fake" these days. (you all get bonus points if you do)
I've also discovered that I look good in a dress, a suit, striped stockings, and any combination of the three.
Finally, this pandemic has taken a toll on me. I barely see other humans these days, and honestly, before the pandemic I only got like 20% of my social contact online. Now I've found a few places to exist online, but I really do miss in-person social contact.
I'm falling behind in my studies, and am unsure what my role is as a graduate student at this point. Teaching is still a wonderful job, but research and publication is driving me nuts.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to make it. I'm going to get dragged along the bottom and hit every rock along the way, but I'll survive.
These days, surviving counts as thriving.
Anyways, please leave a comment.
I'm terribly lonely.

Corona and Other Bad Stuff Talk
General | Posted 5 years agoHello, mostly invisible and ever-present community/audience.
I just thought I'd share some of my own worries and give people a place to talk about the bad stuff that's happening in the states (and the rest of the world) at the moment. I'm finding that most people are just so exhausted by this stuff that it's hard to really process what's happening.
1. Covid19 is scary -
I live in a "Red Zone" state, where things aren't terrible at the moment, but will likely be very bad in 3-6 weeks. I've been staying inside over the summer (thank goodness I don't have anything to teach in the summer. I feel bad for people with jobs that force you to come in with no protections) It looks like the infection and death rates are going to get much worse before they get better. A lot of people don't believe in the need for masks or social distancing, and at this point, I don't believe that Americans have the social technology, or desire, to really curb the spread of this disease.
My parents are old. My boyfriend has bad asthma. I'm no spring chicken myself. No one that I know directly has died yet, but I fear it's just a matter of time.
I have a stockpile of non-perishable food, but not a whole lot else. It just feels like there's not much else to do. Hopefully I won't need any special supplies, and food distribution will not be interrupted It doesn't seem like buying more stuff is going to make me any safer.
The administration is not helping. 136,000 Americans have died. Likely it's going to get much worse.
AAAAAAAAaaaaaaahhh.
2. Politics is Scary -
Let me preface this section by saying that I know we are all have radically different perspectives on what's going on right now. It's very difficult to filter through what's happening and compile "complete" pictures by stapling together accounts from multiple sources. Likely some of my sources or assumptions are false or misleading, but I'd still like to have this conversation. Please, no calls for or endorsements of violence against anyone in the comments.
There's a lot of stuff that has been making me squirm recently.
A. Unmarked Enforcement - In Portland OR and Washington DC I've seen multiple reports and videos of people being detained, beaten, or shot at by unmarked federal officers. This prevents any form of accountability. If one of these unmarked people kills, maims, or takes away one of your colleagues, you have nowhere to turn to. There's no ID number, agency, or organization to turn to. At this point, it seems like the most effective solution is trying to get word out on social media, but that seems like it should be a shoot the moon exception, and not the rule.
B. Consequence Free Governance - Three Presidents of the USA have been impeached, Johnson, Clinton, and Trump. None of them were removed from office. Nixon resigned before such a process could take place. A president has never been removed from power by this process, and I'm pretty sure now that one will never be.
In my opinion, Clinton and Trump should both have been impeached. I realize that Bill Clinton's sexual indiscretions are not such a scandal in themselves, but the fact that he lied to congress about proves that he was unfit for office in my mind. Trump lies frequently, but he didn't even need to report to congress directly. The system, however it is supposed to work, didn't actually answer many questions about 1. The facts of Russian Interference (which was spelled out as very serious in the report, but downplayed and called a hoax repeatedly) 2. The severity of these claims (Is this a new normal? Is the government okay with this?) 3. Any methods to prevent this from happening again.
There seems to be no enforcement of rules to curb individuals abuse of power at the moment. Trump an Ivanka both tweeted for their constituents to buy GOYA products recently, in direct conflict with the Hatch act (which prohibits officials from using their position to promote products or private services.) I know that bean shilling is a small indisgression, but there has been no measures put in place to prevent this from happening.
Likewise, President Trump seems relatively immune to prosecution as a citizen. It's taken three years for New York to get his tax returns from his banks and accounting firms (not Trump himself). If a sitting president can stretch any potential litigation into something that takes more that 4 years, there's no way to affect their stay in office. Even if they are a criminal, there's no way that that can be established by the legal system before the next election.
Also, I have no idea what Trump means about 90% of the time. I'm one of those weirdos that likes reading the occasional political speech. Most of Trump's off-the-cuff remarks are very hard for me to parse, even with a transcript. I can understand the general broad strokes, but very little other than what is good and what is bad. I can not say much about Trump as a person (I've never met the guy.) However, I can judge his words and actions. Largely, I'm surprised that there isn't more argument over "What exactly did Trump mean by that?" This may be by design. It's hard to fully condemn someone you can't understand. Likewise, to shift the blame, Trump can always say "It wasn't me" and fire someone, because we can never know if it was him because it's impossible to understand him in any concrete way.
With the recent Twitter hacks, I'm worried that the next major incident that happens will likely be instigated not directly by any individual, but rather by a sock-puppet speaking through a high-profile account on the internet.
Also, voting seems to be getting harder, and is no longer a right, but a privilege. Gerrymandering and voter suppression make votes more or less valuable and are decided by the parties in power. Likewise, Trump has repeatedly called into question the results of votes both in the past and future. This seems like a recipe for disaster: Claim that an election was bogus if you lose, and prevent anyone else from complaining of unfair practices if you win.
AAAAAAAaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgh!
3. The Economy is Scary
The last once-in-a-lifetime economic event I lived through was the 2008 financial crisis and recession. I got a degree, couldn't find work in the states, and left to get a job in South Korea instead, then moving on after another bout of schooling to work in Saudi Arabia for 3 years. But I got the news from the states. A lot of my friends and my brother couldn't find work, and had to move back in with their parents or other family. I cannot stress how much this sucks. Rent is at a historical high, jobs are harder to find, less young people own houses, and evictions are looming for a lot of people right now.
This is not because housing is disappearing, but rather, because we can't find a reason to put a growing number of people people in houses at the moment. Yes, most people don't have the cash, but if you put them out on the streets, you'll have empty houses with people living in abject poverty. We need to fix this. In my opinion, it's generally more cost effective to actually house people than it is to make them live on the streets.
I'm likely not going to get a job in American academics. The market after 2008 was insulated for about 4 years before facing a sharp decline in positions and pay in my field. I can't go abroad as much anymore because I'm completely out as a queer person, which does not fly for teachers in a LOT of places where I used to be able to find jobs. I couldn't find an acedmic job 3 years ago, and definitely couldn't if I was seeking one at the moment.
The economy is probably THE driving force in America. It determines how we live our lives, work, where and how we live, and what we value. If it falls apart, I think the amount of unrest would be nothing like I've ever seen before. I'm all for changing the system, but in a crisis like this, I'm very worried about how many people are going to get hurt.
aaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa
4. It's getting harder and harder to actually watch, listen, and digest
Within my social circle, there is less and less discussion of what's actually going on (or what we can piece together at least.) Everyone is exhausted. Talking about ANYTHING problematic feels like it's increasingly dismissed.
This worries me.
PERSONAL ANECDOTE: I was chatting with some of my good friends through the internet, and we had a sort of "let's just talk about the things that worry us" day. I shared two articles that worried me, one of which was NPR's coverage of Facebook removing Trump's Anti-ANTIFA ad that featured a red triangle (like political prisoners in Nazi concentration camps [though you could argue the symbol was at one point reclaimed by ANTIFA])
https://www.npr.org/2020/06/18/8803.....ls-it-an-emoji
One of my closest friend's reaction was this: "You don't need such sensationalized news to know that trump is bad"
This put a bee in my bonnet. My good buddy has serious anxiety issues, and I didn't belabor the point with him, but it really got to me.
The news wasn't all that sensational to me. NPR did a pretty good job in laying out the situation in a fairly dry way. But, it felt to me like the point was "You don't need to pay attention to what Trump does and says to know that he is bad"
This actually frightens me.
In politics, I really try to focus on candidates words and actions, and the words and actions of their staff and supporters. If I don't, then it really starts to feel more like sports: support your team, beat the bad guy's team, policy comes second or never. I think I dislike Trump as much as my friend, but also, I don't want to just ignore him and safely file him away as "bad." I want to be able to explain why on a case by case basis, but also understand that keeping up with the news is a major impact on our collective mental health.
I hope Trump does good things. I realize this sounds weird, but if it helps mitigate this crisis or an other one, then great. So far, Trump has not. He's focused on polarizing side issues like walls, xenophobia, rolling back protections for LGBTQIA+ folks, and a bunch of other really damning stuff. He seems much more focused on keeping power than really doing anything with it.
Anyways, my point is, that I think it's very valuable to be aware of A. What actions people are taking, and B. What they are saying. This is kind of why I'm making this post. It's easy to lump people into good/bad groups or us/them groups, but I feel like that kind of thinking is kind of how we got here. Condemning people is not inherently bad, but I think it's important to condemn them for their actions.
So . . . anyways, this is sort of an experiment. Feel free to vent here, to disagree with me, to tell me and others about what this experience is like for you, to show me worrying news, etc . . . But, please be respectful, no calls for violence, and in general, try to make this journal post something other than a huge mistake on my part.

What'd I miss?
General | Posted 6 years agoHey ho, fellow internet- goers.
I know I've been gone awhile, but the term from hell is over, and I'll get back to posting weird TF stories shortly. Maybe not quite as many as I used to, but at least a couple.
A few questions.
1. What cool stuff has happened in the world of TF since I left? Any cool trends, new ideas, or just flat out rad stuff?
2. Anything that you really want to see more of from me?
3. How are you all holing up during the plague lock down? (Personally, I'm getting by, but I really do miss getting out of my studio apartment and having a place for work and a place for play)
Anways, I'd love to hear from you all. Leave a comment and let's have a chat.

2000 Reasons
General | Posted 7 years agoHey guys, my follower count finally reached that big 2000.
Furaffinity - 1055 -
Sofurry - 948 - (SF used to be in the lead until a year or two ago)
Life is busy at the moment, but I thought I'd take the time to offer a sincere thanks to you. I do this as a hobby, but it's incredibly rewarding to have an audience willing to read my particular brand of nonsense. It's been quite a journey, and my life has taken me to all kinds of places, but it's nice to have this community there regardless of where I end up. So just letting ya'll know that I appreciate the conversations, the comments, the tacit votes of approval, the shouts, the criticism, the art, the contests, the views, and everything else that you all have taken the time to provide to me.
I probably won't be writing anything too large for the next few weeks, but I'll keep you in the loop. I've definitely got a few ideas planned, but I'm gonna kind of take things as they come.
So keep being cool, keep enjoying TF, and I'll see you all soon.

What to bring to the furry campout?
General | Posted 7 years agoI'm headed to CFT again this year.
I'm going to be running a cider tasting and a short cabaret-ish one man show.
But what strange and possibly fun things should I bring to make the campout even cooler?
So far I'm thinking
licorice twigs -
Frisbees -
Sunflower seeds -
Board games -
????

Summer Thoughts/Goals
General | Posted 7 years agoWell, it's summertime, and real life is gonna start again in about a month here for me.
So, to take advantage of my time, I'm gonna try to write 5 stories before I have to start working again. I'm gonna try to do mostly shorter ones, but we'll see where my thoughts take me. Chances are that I'll be slowing down considerably for the foreseeable future, so I figure why not challenge myself for the time being.
Considering opening up another TF1000 or something like it this year. I loved all the cool stories that people submitted last year.
I've got another idea for a chapter in "The Surrogate" But those usually take quite a bit to write, and don't get all that much attention. It is fun to work with those characters though.
Gonna be hitting up CFT in August. I've got my 3rd annual cider tasting and an hour long solo piano act I've been working on. I'm stoked.
What are you all doing for the summer?
Any TFs you'd like to see more of?
Isn't life weird?
