Confurgence and by extension Melbourne, was a lot of fun. I got to catch up with a lot of fuzzies and meet some new ones!

Now I prepare for FurDU! Its only two months away and I hope I can get everything done in time!

Its been over a week now and I've recovered sufficiently to recount the events of the FurDU past.

Thursday
I got up way too early and flailed around excitedly before sharing my excitement over at foxymalone's. Soon it was time to go and I grabbed my bags and we were on our way! First stop was the Gold Coast airport to pick up Pete and co. There was some fun boot tetris to get everything in. Next stop: the outrigger!

We got the room set up then we hit the pavement for lunch then dinner. All the while more and more furries where filling up the hotel. Headed up to a room party where much hugs were exchanged! But it was over as the fun police had arrived and it was time for bed.

Friday
First con day! We got up early and snooped around for breakky. I had a powdery hot chocolate and a cardboard croissant (don't get toasted kids!) then it was back to the hotel to man the rego desk. It sooned dawned 12 - time for sizzler con! Except people had piked and it was now postponed to later this evening. Foiled!

I went outside with what few remained for some lunch - Mos Burger! Followed by a lovely walk along the beach, nicely coinciding with the Beach Meet where I saw things not meant for human eyes. Ick. Went back to the con space to help with the Poker Tourney. It went well over time with the last table being quite the nail biter.

Sizzlercon! It was time! Jumped in a maxi taxi and it was cheese toast all the way baby! Feeling overfull but somehow satisfied we crawled back into the maxi and made our way to the hotel. Burp! Never too much cheese toast.

It was time for the intro to furDU then the charity show! I helped out on the door then clapped til my hands were red and sore for the talented foxamoore, kazza and darkie gryph's jamming. It was over all too soon BUT I jumped at the chance to dance in suit. Dancing away with Christina til I was sore, sweaty and breathless. Bed time at 1am.

Saturday
Morning came too soon and I limped out to breakky with foxymalone and nikitawolf. Mos Burger does an excellent spread! Their peach tea revitalized me and I was back at the con space preparing my wares. I was fortunately next to tevionbee and Christina dealing for naira. Talk is free and I spoke to many a fur interested in molesting my wares ($1 per pat next year!) Tails on deck and sketch book at the ready they came! My tails flew off the table and I was soon busy working on badges. Tail supply low and hands still sore from clapping, I departed for some nourishment. Some stolen chips and I was back in suit ready for the photoshoot and helping out with the wrangling.

Tired beyond words, I left suit and helped wind it down for atpaw's sake. 6pm finishing time, I hope he got some scotch and gazelle burgers! Back up into the room with floook I finished my badge commissions and declined an offer for dinner. Another quick pie and peach tea and I was back at the door for the magic show and gameshow night. Both proved remarkably entertaining. The dance was going to start but it was bed time for this spotty dog.

Sunday'
Breakfast with the neighbours (foxymalone and nikitawolf) and I was back at my dealer's table trying to flog the last of my tails and waiting for furs to pick up their badges. Sadly, this meant I missed the fursuit beachwalk and from all accounts was epic fun. Only two tails left and all badges picked up. I made my way out to lunch. Before it was time to baby sit the MLP/Movie screening. Crowds gathered for the mlp but soon dissipated for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

Before I knew it, it was the charity auction! Time to lend a paw again and watch those bidders go crazy. The unicorn wearing slendy made an appearance! Bidding not only for his signature garb but his indentity too! The stakes were high but the bidder let slendy go unmasked. I hoped for his return next year!

Suddenly sponsor pizza dinner! Om nom nom! Then the dance comp! Such amazing entries and dancing!

FurDU somehow came to a close! :<

I pondered dancing in suit one last time but alas, my over exertion on Friday night haunted me still.

Monday
A proper hot choco and croissant for breakky and then packing and lobbycon/hugcon! Sad to see so many furries gone and over hugged we left the outrigger, vowing to return next year!

But somehow it wasn't over yet: Burgercon had reared its head. Over 30 furries all chowing down. Then it was clawmachinecon! I swore to get flamedrake a sloth plushie but alas, my skills failed me. But mackenya stepped up the plate and got me a macawnivore <3.

Moviecon started in earnest but it too had to end.

Little update journal since the meme I posted a few months ago is no longer acurate.

Will be down Thursday afternoon sometime, 'til Monday. If you want to hang drop me a line either on twitter or facebook.

I'll be manning the rego desk Friday morning for a unspecific amount of time and there may be other volunteer duties later down the track.

I have a table on Saturday peddling a selection of tails and my usual headshot badges so come have a look! :D.

More for me but if anyone's curious as to what I'm up to, have a gander below:

Head is pretty much done, just needs teeth and a bit of a trim Done!

Hand paws all cut out and are currently being sewn Done!

Feet paws need to have toes carved and glued then furring can begin have started furring Done!

Tail pattern cut out needs to be sewn Done!


There's a 90% 100% chance she'll be ready for the 'DU :D


I'm very much torn between spamming FA with pictures of her or keeping it secret until the con rolls around, D:

However, I'm very protective of how she looks at the moment and despite people telling me she looks good; I'll always find something to nitpick about her :<

I've since bailed on being a dealer at furDU.

However, if you ask nicely I'm more then happy to do a quick (free!) sketch for you in your sketchbook.

I'm currently working on a partial fursuit for the aforementioned con but I'm not gonna rush it. If it gets made in time that's great if not, there's always another event.

I'll try to upload work in progress pics here and on facebook. At the moment I'm just working on feetpaws since I'm waiting on a few materials to arrive.

BUT its still nonetheless exciting :D

I'll probably be flogging my $5 badges again this year, will try to laminate them or find something more water proof then last years. Not sure if I'll have anything else available since I'm uncomfortable enough selling my art as it is.

On that note, am sorely tempted to start uploading again but all I've been doing lately is sketches and scanning/adjusting is too much of annoying clusterfuck to really bother with. I'll keep sketching away though, hoping to improve beyond my art last year. :)

Woof and such, here's a quick update to bump that ages old b'day post off the page.

Cons:
No midfur for me 'cause I'm poor but I'll be at furDU next year as per usual. No idea about rivfur but I guess I'll find out closer to the date.

I haven't been commissioning much (see aforementioned poorness) so no new submissions there. Did get a new icon for Christmas though. Hit refresh to see it, courtesy of champ!

Work's been draining my energy and focus so I haven't really gotten around to a proper tumblr update either. I've been doodlin' here and there, trying to keep my skills up and in a feeble attempt to improve.
